My youngest brother was operated on for a brain tumor about 9 years ago. A couple of weeks ago it made a return and he needed an immediate operation. Our Mother flew down to Dunedin to be with him during and after the op. Having been a nurse for 50 years Mum is great in these situations. Since Mum is away though I have to go and look after Dad, who is getting a bit forgetful, and is on heart medication, so he needs someone around him during the day. More of safety measure than anything, but it means I'm away from home for most of the week, and using a borrowed computer. The operation was a success and he's back on his feet again, can't drive for 6 months though. So a few more days and Mum will be coming home again, and I can get back to my own PC at last. :)

Elisa just watches, she is more concerned that the Bugbears will not be anything more than than useless. From what she has seen their leader doesn't have enough force of personality to hold them together long enough to hurl them at a fortified position.

OK. I've moved Elisa to where she will be setting the fire. She used the trees for cover and moved behind the tents. If it's possible she will throw the Alchemist fire at the back of the tent then withdraw into the trees again. If not she will stealth to the back of the tent and set the fire. The rest of the party is waiting for our target to move when the fire draws attention. Just give the word and Elisa starts the fire.

Thinking on Saulric's suggestion of a distraction. Elisa could slip down behind one of the tents and use her alchemists fire to get a blaze going before we go for this guard? Is she does it on the bottom most tent the guard would be moving close passed us and set up for ambush.

Elisa Knowledge(Nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 Elisa nods agreeably at their offerings, obviously the Narwhal horn is the prize of the show. Apprise: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 She offers them a good amount of Handaxes, spears and daggers for it. While the bargaining is taking place she also provides some hot tea and chats about the area, asking if they have seen any other strangers recently?

If we are going to negotiate Elisa will do it. "Trade yes!" Elisa calls back. "Bring up some Daggers, Spears, Bow and Arrows." She instructs the crew, going for what she thinks will be of most value to members of a hunter/gatherer community. Elisa has appraise, bluff and diplomacy so can negotiate. She is interested in information. Like who else is in the area, and what threats there are for our ship? She will trade for what items they have though. We could always find a later use for them. I doubt they will make much of a dent in the amount of weapons needed for an army.

Setting them on fire and dealing with them at range first sounds good to me as well, I would much rather not deal with them up close until they've been weakened as much as we can.

Elisa goes with her standard plan (Deception and murder). "Perhaps we should allow them to come close as we play the humble and honest merchant.
