Scrolls:
Davin from what the group has uncovered, he has seamantle, shield and mirror image. He has other spells too but those only trigger if you get pass his mirror images so I will reveal it then. He cast globe of invulnerability lesser and a contingency cast resilient sphere on him. Resilient sphere is a 4th level spell so it’s unaffected by the globe. Plus his level is high enough the sphere sticks out of the area of the globe.

fireball: 15d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 3, 1, 3, 2, 1, 4, 6, 1, 5, 1, 6, 1) = 49

Scrolls:
As the magic missiles sail towards telric and strike him in the chest, you feel a wave of mythic power as a contingency spell activates. A hemisphere of force surrounds him, sealing him in a protective dome of energy. The resilient sphere spell easily negates Kharls attacks.

While Gazul is waiting for the moment to strike, your telepathic bond allows you to receive some information from Alyarah and Yasmin's spell knowledge. Walls of force and their variants, including resilient sphere spells, are unaffected by antimagic fields.

Gazul, i will allow you to decide if you want to strike the sphere or wait to see if Yasmin can bring it down with dispel magic. Telric down to 32hp

Technically the cult group has described their action but do you guys want more time to discuss this?

For scrolls I believe it’s just on Yasmin and Davin yes?

The 4 tentacles target your Touch AC which is 21(19+2 deflection from protection from evil) not your normal AC. Since most of your AC comes from armor and natural armor, your touch AC is much lower than your normal AC(it’s also already indicated on your sheet)

Sorry it took so long, works been exceptionally annoying this week :(

also, sorry to hear about that Tavik, hope you settle it soon

Scrolls:
Reminder, the vrock has DR 10/good so Kharl and Davin include that in your future damages. Nalfeeshnee is dead, 1 vrock is down to 3 hp, the other at full. The erinyes one is at 2 hp and the other at full hp. Telric is down to 59

Gazul's first strike slays the already weakened Nalfeshnee. His second strike is aimed at one of the vrocks and finds its mark. Davin's next precisely targeted strike leaves the demon on its last legs.

The two vrocks and two erinyes weigh their options and will all use their teleport/greater teleport abilities to warp themselves to the far end of the room and wait.

Telric groans as he notices this but he focuses on the lot of you. His eyes glow with mythic power for a moment before he seems to accelerate before you. Suddenly, a bead of fire spontaneously appears and erupts at Gazul and Davin's feet(DC 26 reflex, 15d6 fire). In the same moment a faintly shimmering sphere surrounds telric, one the two wizard recognise as a lesser globe of invulnerability. Lastly Telric will then weave his mythic power to summon a large windowless cage around Alyarah(Forcecage, DC 26 reflex to escape)

For clarity on telric's turn: He used amazing initiative, spending the action on Time stutter(10th lvl arcane discovery,1 rd time stop). during the extra time he casts delayed blast fireball(1 rd) and a quickened lesser globe of invulnerability. He then cast forcecage on Alyarah with his normal standard action.

For the benefit of the two mages, since mythic globe of invulnerability specifically calls out it also blocks 4th lvl or lower mythic spells, I will say the non-mythic version cant block mythic spells which is why he forcecaged the only one he has seen casting mythic spells

Cult:
The veiled master looks at you all and smiles. His voice grows more distorted as he begins changing back to his true form, "Consider yourselves blessed, you shall witness my magnificence, a privilege most thralls never attain.". It takes him only an instant to complete the transformation and the monstrosity turns it full attention to Evangelia. Lashing out with all of its limbs.

Evangelia(with proc from evil): AC 37, FF 26, T 21
Bite: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24[miss]
Claw: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20[miss]
Tentacle(touch): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27[hit]
Tentacle(touch): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17[miss]
Tentacle(touch): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26[hit]
Tentacle(touch): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30[hit]
total damage: 6d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 4, 4, 5) = 24[electricity]

Since the thought lance ability isn't attempting to mentally control her, i will say it still affects Evangelia despite proctection from evil

Evangelia feels a wave of disorientating mental energy hit her with each tentacle strike(DC 24 will save or be staggered for one round for each failure)

Tavik, i am waiting on you to alter your action before i make the post for both groups. i will wait 1 day before i move on

Tavik, Divine source only allows you one level 9 spell as a spell-like per day

You have already chosen to spend it on the miracle in the tavern to revive the two adventurers, thus you cannot spend it on summon monster 9 since a day hasn’t passed

Choose a different action

From AoN:
In addition, you can cast spells from domains you grant as long as their level is equal to or less than your tier. Each day as a spell-like ability, you can cast one spell of each level equal to or less than your tieR

Sorry about this both groups, it seems when I made my post last night I was a bit too tired and misread or forgot to mention somethings(for both Tavik and the scrolls group). I already corrected my mistake for Tavik in discussion, now onto the scrolls group.

Scrolls:
Gazul, Kharl and Davin, I will need you to each roll twice against stunning screech since there are two vrocks and you are all grouped up. So you would need to save against both screechs. Onto Kharl’s Grapple, since CMs are attack rolls I will roll against mirror image.

6 mirror images(succeeds on a 7): 1d7 ⇒ 6
attack of opportunity(vrock): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 6) + 5 = 14

Kharl down to 11hp
Kharl rushes forward, through the claws of raging Vrock and lunges at Telric. Unfortunately he only wrapped his arms around a mirror image, that shatters on impact. Telric doesn’t seem to acknowledge the attempt, still looking at the two spellcasters Yasmin and Alyarah

Tavik, actually you can’t use summon monster IX right now and you get 2 rounds not 5 even with the implement

Your summon monster spell comes from divine source(Law) but divine source only lets you cast one spell per day of each spell level as a spell-like ability. Which means you can only cast one 9th level spell per day. You have already cast miracle earlier in the tavern to revive the two adventurers so you cannot use another 9th level spell-like again until a day has passed.

I don’t blame you for forgetting since it’s been awhile(I forgot as well).

Also stone elementals are neutral, you can only summon Lawful creature with the spell-like since the domain specifies your version of the spell is a Lawful spell. So the options I listed in the spoiler are your only relevant options(Trumpet archon, ice devils, barbed devils or bone devils), unless you want to pick from the 6th level or lower lists.

As for why you only get two rounds:

Tavik wrote:
If he does so, he adds 1 to his caster level for every 2 points of mental focus stored in the implement (to a maximum bonus equal to your occultist level).

Your max bonus is equal to your occultist level which is 1 right now

So I would need you to choose another action

Davin No problem I also need to plan my next actions anyway, rest up

Tavik once you have chosen something else to summon(read my explanation for why you can’t summon the NG deva), you can choose if you’d like to play the creature or if you want me to play it.

Cult:
Tavik, you got summon monster IX from your Law Domain, meaning you can only use it as a Law spell(you can only summon Lawful creatures). The Deva is Neutral Good so you can’t summon it. You can only summon an Ice devil(LE) or a Trumpet Archon(LG) from the 9th level list. you could also summon 1d3 barbed devils or 1d4+1 Bone devils. They only get one turn since you are CL 1 but still should be pretty effective. Which would you like to summon.

Evangelia your feint is rather effective as you manage to get the man to prepare for an attack that didn’t come. You successfully overturn the table quite easily, knocking all of the random items onto the floor. The man seems rather irritated and turns his attention onto you.

not his turn yet though

Scrolls:
I believe we are still missing Davin and Kharl, I will wait just a little longer for them to get the chance to post. I will roll the save against Yasmin first. I will say that I assume that Yasmin’s spell hit him just as the daze wears off since it’s lasts only a round so he can attempt a reactive ward

Telric is too dazed by Yasmin’s spell to react much to the 4 missile that slam into him. Just as he recovers, he senses Yasmin’s magic again and hastily puts up a reactive ward to negate the spell. This time the ward holds strong against her spell negating it completely. Telric locks eyes with Yasmin as he prepares to unleash his wrath.

spellcraft: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (15) + 26 = 41

Success! Tavik recognises the man as a shapechanged Veiled Master, a type of powerful aboleth. This specimen is slightly stronger than the average Veiled master(if such a thing exists).

Nope he redirected your sword into the ground after catching it

Yes i would allow it go ahead and roll

Public service annoucement: FYI, you all can use your mythic surges on any D20 roll as a immediate action. like on any attack rolls or saving throws. You only get one immediate/swift action per turn but it could potentially be very helpful to avoid things or make sure you hit.

Scrolls:
Telric grits his teeth as the magic missiles bypass his mirror images. However he seems completely unaffected by Yasmin's evil eye as he is revealed to be protected by a mind blank spell. Sensing Yasmin's spell potency and identifying her spell choice, Telric will draw on his own mythic power to put up a reactive ward(1 MP, make a spellcraft check in place of a saving throw, negate the spell if successful)

spellcraft: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (2) + 26 = 28

Wow you guys lucked out, cant even surge as that is also an immediate action

However, his hastily created ward is insufficient to stop Yasmin's spell and he is dazed by the spell.

The two Vrocks will fly forward and land next to the three melee fighters(one next to Davin and the other next to Gazul and Kharl. They will both let out a supernaturally loud screech, powered by the demon's hatred for all other races(DC 21 Fort save or be stunned for one round). As they screech, two clouds of spores emit from their bodies and dig into your flesh(No save, 5 dmg now, 1d4 dmg for next 10 rounds(3 next round))

spores: 1d8 + 1d4 ⇒ (5) + (3) = 8

The Erinyes will turn their attention to Gazul specifically, having identified him as the most dangerous fighter and they will throw their ropes at him(DC 20 or be entangled)

touch atk: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
touch atk: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27

The Nalfeshnee seems unaffected by any potential poison from Gazul but it is quite injured by Gazul's attacks. It will let out a Roar and swing wildly at Gazul as a myriad of dazzling lights charge up behind it(Full attack + Unholy Nimbus(free action, activate next turn)). A Claw manages to strike Gazul's armor and sink in(20 slashing dmg)
to hit(bite): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25[miss]
to hit(bite): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36[hit]
to hit(bite): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25[miss]
dmg: 2d6 + 11 ⇒ (4, 5) + 11 = 20

Telric is too dazed to do anything at the moment so now would be the right time to strike.

Cult:
Tavik, will take your first ability check since oswald's attack initiates combat. Sadly its a fail though as the man would count as a rare creature.

Divination spell (71%): 1d100 ⇒ 63[success]

Tavik draws a blank as he tries to put together clues of what type of creature this man could be. You are able to deduce that this man likely isn't in his true form as you can spot his arms appearing to change size and shift as he searches the pile of items on the table.

Andromeda you will hear the now familiar calm and smooth feminine voice, the voice of your goddess, say the words, " Iron Flask" before fading away.

Oswald rushes forward and strikes at the man with his scimitar. The man reaches forward and catches the sword mid swing before he redirects the attack into the ground. The man's otherworldly voice rings out in the chamber, "Such an eager volunteer those puppets sent me. Perhaps your parts are what i need for my next experiments."

Combat: I will count Oswald's attack as a surprise round so you all can take your turns normally
Andromeda: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (19) + 32 = 51
Evangelia: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 31
Tavik: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35
Oswald: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Man: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
HP200; AC30, T15, FF24; CMD35; SR25
You all can take your turns first, i will go after

Sorry for the brief absence but work was especially sucky these past two days. Its over now so I should be able to get a post up when I wake up tom

Scrolls:
Telric is a mythic caster so all of you will take damage from his fireball. The light level is normal in this room. Also if Yasmin casts antimagic field next turn all of your Su, Sp and normal spells will not function. So no mage strike, no wild shape and no spell-likes. Your normal magical equipment will cease to work and only your artifacts will function so keep that in mind. It will shut off all of Telric’s buffs though so that’s a plus.

Cult:
Forgot to mention this but his sense motive bonus is higher than Tavik’s 19 roll so I didn’t see the need to roll it. To figure out what the runes and glyphs are doing as well as deduce the purpose of the experiments would require a DC 44 Arcana check. You do notice that the technology this man is using seems more advanced than the medieval-era technology of this world.

The room is large enough that you all would need to run at full speed for about half a dozen seconds to reach the exit behind the man. Judging by the size of the table you would guess it would take him maybe half a minute to search through the whole thing.

Scrolls:
Gazul, Kharl, Alyarah, Yasmin and Davin enter the Audience Chamber. The chamber is massive, more than 100ft across and 80ft tall at first glance. It seems your loud and direct method of entry has given the group time to prepare as you notice the 6 mirror images of the wizard shimmers with the effect of several spells. In front of him stands the Nalfeshnee with the two Erinyes and two Vrocks to its side in the air. They have also cast whatever protective spells they can on themselves, namely Mirror image for the two Vrocks.

Telric looks at your group in mild surprise before remarking, "You...are not who i was expecting. But it doesn't matter, I will achieve my master's goal today and then take my revenge on those arrogant mages who mocked me. No one will get in my way."

Wow lucky break for telric. I will take his turn, then you five go and lastly the demons

Telric will cast Seamantle, engulfing him and his mirror images in a protective wall of water. He then expertly weaves the motions and incantation for a fireball with quickening metamagic before pointing at the centre of your group. hitting all of you with a burst of flame(DC 22 reflex half)

10d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 1, 4, 1, 6, 6, 6, 3) = 33

Cult:
The hooded humanoid looks towards Tavik and tilts his head curiously before shaking his head in...amusement? He speaks in a deep and otherwordly voice, "So typical of the puppets to send their problems to me. And so typical of these puppets to speak to me so haughtily. No matter, my work continues." He stares at Tavik first, then andromeda, then Evangelia and finally Oswald before he makes a strange gurgling noise.

The hooded humanoid then turns around nonchalantly and searches a nearby table for something.

For fairness i will give you the chance to do what you want since it will take him sometime to find what he is looking for. He doesn't seem to be paying much attention to your group at the moment. FYI, his perception mod is higher than Oswald's stealth roll so i didnt need to roll

Sorry guys I am kind of tired from work tonight so I will do the scenes for both groups tomorrow when I am up

Cult:
The 4 of you rush through the 3rd closest door and you find yourself in a vast surprising well lit room. Its walls are caked in blood and slime and the floor is littered with haphazardly discarded body parts, like something you’d see in an extremely messy butcher store. Piles of corpses are placed in every corner of the room, in them you spot some humanoid corpses along with animal carcasses and demonic bodies. Placed on several large tables are dissected Qlippoth bodies drained of their fluids and with their strange otherworldly organs removed.

Along the walls are several large tanks filled with a strange green fluid and containing one humanoid body each. All the bodies appear to have been mutilated in some way, some have extra animal limbs, others have had their torso replaced with demonic flesh.

In the centre of the room is a large ritual circle engraved with strange alien runes. Floating above its centre is a large orange crystal and around the circle are 4 smaller yellow crystals. At its centre is the charred corpse of a human male surrounded by similarly charred monster body parts. A Man standing to the circle’s left is chewing his nails and he lets out a halfhearted sigh before marking down something in a note pad.

He is currently facing away from you as you entered the room and the noise of the building shifting seems to have masked your footsteps. What would you like to do?

Because I am writing on my phone right now, my planned post keeps getting deleted when I switch to another tab so I will write this quick reply to Tavik here since my post keeps disappearing:

No, there is no yes/no option for Augury in this edition. It’s only weal(good consequence), woe(bad consequence), weal and woe( for both) and nothing(when the spell fails or the consequences is neither good nor bad.). The spell requires you to ask about an action and then it gives you an idea of how the action will turn out. “Is the left path safer” is not an action that this spell can give you an answer for. It doesn’t matter now because the spell failed anyway due to the percentile dice roll.

From now on, anyone who uses the Augury spell(so Tavik or Andromeda), you have to ask about an action(such as “what will happen if I go on the left path”) for the Augury spell to work properly.

The 4th level ‘Divination’ spell is a different story. For that spell, you can ask any question and receive a 1 word/phrase answer.

Cult:
Tavik, read your spells more carefully. Augury’s questions have to be about “ whether a particular action will bring good or bad results for you in the immediate future.”. Meaning you should describe what you want to do and then ask if it’s a good idea. So instead of “is the left path safer?”, you should have asked , “What would happen if I go left” or “Should I go down the right path?”. I will accept it this time but be more careful in the future.

71% chance of success(30 or above): 1d100 ⇒ 3
71% chance of success(30 or above): 1d100 ⇒ 6

Tavik as you use your future sight twice on the pathways, you receive an answer of “nothing” both times before your sight fizzles out. Leaving you no closer to figuring out which way you have to go.

oh my, bad luck

Scrolls:
Perhaps some of you would like to tell me how you attempt to enter the room with the wizard in it. I’d assume you’d want to do something more sneaky or dramatic than just waltzing in

The doors that the hostage pointed out to you all is right down the hall, all on its lonesome. Judging by the lack of any adjacent rooms, you’d assume the room is very large. Indeed with some quick investigation you learn the room is at least 100 feet wide and 60 ft tall. There is no obvious forms of entry besides the large wooden doors(20ft tall and 10ft wide, Break DC 33, DC 23 without arcane lock). However there should logically be other openings into the rooms which you could search for.

Cult:
Evangelia’s counter attack deals the final blow to the white chimera and it falls to the ground dead. The other two chimera seem to have brought their fight elsewhere. However, your fight with the chimeras have been anything but soft due to their roars. You hear creatures scurrying around on various types of limbs all around you and the cries of Qlippoths grow louder around you.

Then you feel the ground beneath you shake as the walls around you begin to shift and move around you as if it were alive. In the chaotic moment of movement, you spot a 4 possible openings in the maze. You all must pick one.

one of you can roll a 1d4 on behalf of the group to pick the opening you go through.

Ah right mmm since Evangelia is coming from behind and the three of you are in front of it I’d say the cone will be target at the 3 of you. So andromeda, Tavik and Oswald should make the saving throw

Cult:
the Chimera endures blow after blow of Evangelia’s strikes and it lets out a pained roar. Its eyes focus and its animal instincts seem to register how dire the circumstances are for it. It lets out an angry roar and gathers frost energy within its draconic maw, pushing itself for one last stand.(DC 17 reflex half)

cold dmg: 6d8 ⇒ (8, 8, 7, 6, 4, 1) = 34

Sooo scrolls are you going to charge into the room with the wizard or are you still trying to come up with a plan? I will run the cult encounter first for now lemme know when you are ready

Scrolls:
Yasmin from what you know of the Planar binding spells, the creatures still have to do the tasks that they are assigned. However because the creatures are only sent back to their home plane if they completed the task and they inform the caster of its completion, they cannot be sent back via the Planar binding spell. So upon the tasks completion, they are considered freed and must fine their own way back to their home planes. If they choose to return.

For instance, if you summoned a demon to guard a bridge for a week, even if you die, it still has to guard the bridge for a week. But after that, it considered free of the spell and may choose to do as it pleases.

Creatures given open-ended tasks are the exception, as the spell automatically sends them back to their home plane after a set period of time.

Cult:
its AC is 19 so both tavik and oswald miss. Andromeda hits for 2 damage and it is shakened
BW recharge(forgot to roll last round): 1d4 ⇒ 3
Will save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23[fail]
Lucky for you 3, the two chimeras further away from your group seems to have turned against each other thanks to andromeda's spell. However that still leaves the one Chimera directly in front of you.

Tavik your slight retreat from the chimera causes it to assume you are the easiest prey. It will take a 5 ft step towards you and focus its attacks entirely on you.(full attack + 5 ft step)

main bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27[miss]
sec bite: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14[miss]
Gore: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15[miss]
Claw 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23[miss]
Claw 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21[miss]

However it is shocked as you manage to dodge its every attack with skillful movements.

Scrolls:
Alyarah, your spell shows you a large room filled with long tables and benches placed at regular intervals. Some of the seats are occupied by people who are bound and gagged. You also see a larger elevated long table that looks similar to a judge’s table that is sized for multiple people. On the ground in front of the central table is a group of 9-10 people bound by restraints. In front of the hostages are the two Erinyes, a Nalfeshnee, several other fiends you cannot immediately identify at a glance and an elf wielding a large staff.

Davin, you sense no lies in the hostage’s statement. However, you do notice something odd. As a Rogue and spymaster, you are particularly familiar with how people react to life threatening situations. Most react with fear, some acceptance and some with determination or anger. But while you can see that this hostage does want to escape, her body language and demeanour as she is helping free the others seem to indicate she is perfectly calm. Which is very different from most of the other hostages who are display a whole host of negative emotions.

I don’t think the word sociopath exists in the world but if it did Davin might think she is a bit sociopathic. That or she is really jaded

Scrolls:
The hostages aren't seriously injured, just mostly bruised up from being restrained roughly. It seems they were quite cooperative so that's why they haven't been seriously injured.

" He is in the Audience Chamber down the hall. He is a mage of immense power but his progress in the Art plateaued a while ago. Just short of the required spell power to be named an archmage. I'd reckon that's why he decided to take this approach instead, threatening the more ordinary members of the council to gain more prestige or something. Not sure how long he expects his ill-gotten gains to last once the other archmages hear of it. " As you cut the hostage's bonds, she will stand up and rub her wrists before she moves to help the rest of the hostages as well.

"I am getting the heck out of here after this, you'd best leave too before he sends that Pig demon body guard out to check the noise."

Scrolls:
Damage dealt:89
The heavily damaged Erinyes curses under her breath in infernal. Both of them look at each other before they use their greater teleport spell-like ability and vanish from sight.

With the devils gone, there is still the small matter of the hostages in the building that your group might want to deal with.

One of them says, "Quickly, help us undo these restraint and flee with us. It is only a matter of time before Telric sends another creature to investigate the disturbance.

Cult:
So Oswald misses, Tavik i assume you'd rather spend your turn on chimera-baning your dagger than casting a CL 1 proc from fire, Andromeda Murderous command and Evangelia deals 27 damage to the blue one

will save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Andromeda's magic takes hold of the red chimera and it turns to bite the blue chimera who is currently engaging Evangelia.

bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11

The blue chimera will turn angrily to look at its counterpart then at Evangelia. It lets out a bolt of lightning that strikes both of its adjacent enemies(Evangelia, DC 17 reflex half)

lightning breath: 6d8 ⇒ (6, 2, 7, 1, 8, 1) = 25
red's save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

The white Chimera is not quite so distracted. It flies above the melee and lands right close to Tavik, Oswald and Andromeda. It will then use its Icy breath weapon(the rest of you, DC 17 reflex half)
cold breath: 6d8 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 1, 2, 7) = 21
Over to you guys, remember to make the save for the ice breath. Blue is down to 47 hp, Red is down to 60 hp and white is at full hp

Yeah thats a good idea will go do that

Sorry for the random hiatus guys.

I was on a long vacation with some friends, who planned the trip so we could relax and get away from the stress we been having recently. I was a bit preoccupied with it.

I am a bit tired from the return so I will get a post up tomorrow. Also sorry in advance if the next few posts are a bit different than before, been dealing with a migraine. Hopefully that will clear up as the days past

Scrolls:
Yes Kharl they were flat footed until they acted so only now do they use their normal AC

Both Erinyes will shriek as one of their group falls. They will both take flight and each throw their animated ropes at Gazul(Touch attack, DC 20 reflex or get entangled)

touch: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22[hit]
touch: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27[hit]

In addition both Erinyes will fly upwards 30ft, just below the ceiling of the building
Alyarah and Davin you can act. The other 3 feel free to act once they are done

I am still waiting for Evangelia but one rules clarification for everyone, I am using the FAQ’d version of wild arcana and inspired spell. Meaning they are both standard actions not swift actions. You can check the AoN version of wild arcana for confirmation, they changed it from a swift to standard action. Btw yes Tavik you pass automatically

Scrolls:
checking back to when I introduced the dragons, it is 2pm right now so the outside of the building is brightly illuminated. The building is lit by both natural lighting and continual flame spells cast on various objects throughout the building.

for combat:Kharl, Yasmin and Gazul you three can act in whatever order you wish first. Then Davin and Alyarah can act in whatever order you guys want. I will have the 3 devils act once the first 3 have gone

Static values: AC 23, touch 17, ff 16; hp 94; CMD 31;SR 19

For your knowledge check since you exceeded by 10(you get 3 pieces of info): Immune fire, poison; resist acid, cold 10; DR 5/good

Cult:
Oswald you easily manage to kill a few Cythnigot qippoths but the remainder quickly flee or blink away from you. The chittering cries and otherworldly screeches of the qippoths soon echo through the building. You hear the responding calls of other beasts and the rattle of chains as various monstrosities cry out. 3 particularly loud roars reach your ears as 3 chimeras rush towards you.

Initiative(chimera): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Initiative(chimera): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Initiative(chimera): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Initiative(Oswald): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
Initiative(Tavik): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27
Initiative(Evangelia): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (10) + 19 = 29
Initiative(Andromeda): 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (3) + 32 = 35

Alright your initiatives are high enough and close enough that you four can act whenever you wish. Once you are finished the chimeras will act

Static values: AC 19, touch 10, ff 18; hp 85; CMD 25(29 vs trip). The draconic heads of the chimeras are red, white and blue respectively

Scrolls:
After you have discussed your plan amongst yourselves, you head into the house of elders. Directly inside you see rows of people tied up and gagged, workers and bureaucrats and maintenance staff, standing over them are 3 Erinyes. The 3 fallen will smile and draw their weapons before pouncing at your group.

initaitive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
initaitive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
initaitive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

roll initiative please also all Erinyes naturally have true seeing so in this fight invisibility isn’t a factor but please do sort out which of you will be invisible or In stealth for future fights

Cult:
Evangelia’s spell reverberates through the entire palace and immediately you notice the sound of many bodies slumping over. The group of 6 in front of you also immediately slump over and you sneak into the building. Passing through the door and into the halls of people who are the victims of Evangelia’s sleep spell, you all begin to hear the slimy slithering, chittering and tapping of several things moving through the palace along with a mess of otherworldly voices.

You soon spot the reason for this noise, low level qlippoths, all of whom are immune to mind affecting effects, skitter about curiously wondering why their human worshippers have become unconscious. They don’t seem to recognise you as a threat, only a curiosity but it’s only a matter of time before something more intelligent makes its way over. What would you like to do?

So upon checking, yes the mythic sleep will catch everyone within a one mile radius which is a pretty massive area indeed

cult:
nope not yet

I am not sure if the scrolls group is ready to move on to the antechamber but if you are just let me know. i am not sure if you have an actual plan just yet which is why i haven't shifted the scene

Scrolls:
Yasmin, you find that on the dragon is a twisted glass crown on its head. After using detect magic and your knowledge on magic items, you learn that it is called the hidden crown. It allows the wearer to turn invisible as an action. its a ring of invisibility but in crown form since dragons cant use rings

Cult:
Using Find the Path, Andromeda is able to lead the group safely and quickly to the Alchemist's retreat, with no real complications. Using 2 casts to reach the maze the cultist talked about and another to pass through the maze you manage to avoid trouble until you reach the maze's exit. Just beyond the hedge you hide behind you see a troubling sight.

Outside the entrance of the half destroyed palace known as the alchemist retreat is about a group of 6 people seemingly waiting for you. A Heavily muscled man, a warrior in full plate, a man in robes wielding a staff, a cultist with the symbol of Rovagug around his neck, one man wielding a bow and a drow with a musket. They are on high alert. A quick look at your surroundings show that there appear to be armed individuals at every entrance to the palace. What would you like to do?

Once you have decided do cast your spells in character and maybe come up with a plan of attack, if you need a more in depth one.

Cult:
Andromeda, the spell reveals that the cultist is at Alchemist’s retreat, a place the spell tells you is home to a cult of Rovagug. As before it reveals that the dilapidated palace is located within a 20 miles radius of the under city.
basically it’s confirmed that alchemist’s retreat is where the cultist is located.

For scrolls I see you are still discussing, feel free to keep doing so, let me know when you are ready

Scrolls:
Davin you ask Yasmin to step aside. As she leave with her antimagic field, you begin to pick the lock. Unfortunately you are too too preoccupied to notice another mythic glyph of warding(DC 34) placed next to the lock. Chained lightning lashes out from the glyph striking you before arcing off to hit Gazul(because he is next to you doing aid another) and Yasmin(though she is protected by antimagic). Davin, make a DC 27 reflex save, Gazul make a DC 25 reflex save. You take half damage if you succeed.

chainlightning: 14d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 2, 3, 5, 6, 4, 5, 2, 3, 5, 3, 3) = 51

Cult:
The cultist stops and considers your words for a moment before he says, “Yes the half fiend has strange powers but my sorcery’s power has been blessed by devotion to the great devourer. With the element of surprise… I could use the crystal with far more skill than he could” He picks up the great axe and sheathes it on his back. He picks up a staff next to him before he shouts an incantation, before he vanishes with a teleport spell.

he is not a cleric btw, he is a sorcerer/evangelist so that why he can teleport

Scrolls:
Davin how far do you ask Yasmin to move? Yasmin is in front of the lock at the moment and she can move up to 15ft to the right or left(or backwards obviously). As she moves you may make a perception check(for fun I won’t tell you the dc here).

Oh and I think Laere should have something to boost your check.

Cult:
Oswald you hear the man mutter the words , “Conduit”, “Purple” and “Flame”

Scrolls:
Alyarah and Yasmin would easily be able to identify the spells as disintegrate, elemental assessor and hellfire ray. You would also be able to deduce that the glyphs of warding are augmented by mythic power.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, don’t worry I am fine now

For the scrolls group, the way my groups have ran antimagic field is if the duration is instantaneous and the spell is aimed at the person under antimagic field(Yasmin in this case), the spell simply fails to penetrate the barrier. Only aoe spells/ effects s with durations are suppressed and have a chance to come back when the antimagic field ends.

So in this case there is no risk of the spell reemerging.

Scrolls:
As Yasmin’s antimagic field activates and she approaches the doors, faint flickers of magic shimmer before blinking out around. Several mythic glyph of warding place higher on the door activates as Yasmin touches it(the door is 30ft tall). A thin ray of green light, a multi coloured ray of every element and a bolt of unholy fire shoots from the glyphs targeting Yasmin but flicker out of existence due to the antimagic field. You see several other area of effect spells attempt to activate beneath Yasmin’s feet but they fail due to the field.

The arcane lock spell on the door is suppressed as Yasmin is nearby but it is still locked, likely by mundane means.

the door is locked by a good lock so a DC 30 disable device check can unlock it. Alternatively a DC 28 break check(strength check) could also break down the iron door. Feel free to suggest other ways you could break or bypass the door though

Cult:
will: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

Andromeda, you feel the spell fail to get a proper grip on the Man’s mind. Though, he luckily doesn’t seem to even notice the attempt.

Meanwhile the man’s eyes widen and he shakes with shame, “Ah so you have heard of my failure, what a shame. Perhaps this is a sign I am on the right path, it must be here somewhere. The time of spawning is so close. It must be close.”

“The qlippoth haunt the labyrinthine passage and judge the worthiness of the cult, devouring the weak amongst them. The high one himself judges your worth from the vessel”

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Sorry guys I just got out of the hospital, apparently my food poisoning was way worse than I thought. I am fine now though

Anyway, back to it

Gazul: in general yes, psychic is simply another type of spellcasting like divine or arcane in pathfinder. So your racial magic will cease to function in an antimagic field just like a drow’s arcane racial magic will

All of your Su or Sp mythic abilities will cease to function in an antimagic field. Your Ex mythic abilities function as normal. All of you do not count as deities for the purposes of antimagic field but your legendary items are major artifacts so they still function. Being mythic alone is not enough to bypass antimagic field.

——
I just remembered the flight rules, in that case it is 200ft away from the scrolls group after flying at a 45 degree incline. (It can only ascend at half speed so that’s 200 feet due to withdraw)
——
Also I am super sick with food poisoning so I probably can’t do a scene change until tomorrow, sorry about that

Scroll:
Gazul expends a portion of his weapon's legendary power and pushes the blade deeper into the dragon's throat, severing a vital artery, which causes one of the dragons to collapse on its side. The dragon corpse is suddenly revealed as the magic surround it fades.

The other dragon sees this and hisses angrily, you hear it shifting its weight before it suddenly springs off the ground, dedicating all its energy to avoiding strikes as it flies 400ft off the ground. It is attempting to escape into the air.

The other dragon takes the withdraw full round action. Basically it can move up to twice its speed(its fly speed is 200ft) and doesn't provoke attacks of opportunity at the start of its movement. You all can decide if you would like to chase it.
