I will go with the group consensus. I know that RL can be troublesome at times and I hope all goes well for you Eragar :)

Varden:

Elijah listens and ponders what Varden has said.

You make valid points. Your knowledge and experience trumps my own, and I would be foolish to turn down such an offer. Once this town is stable, and sustainable, a watch and larger sentry will be a necessessity. I would welcome sending my men to learn of various topics from you. While you may currently be unoccupied, such a state my be welcome down the line as there is only so much time in the day to accomplish tasks. My men should be well rounded, as one never knows what knowledge one will need. Enjoy your downtime, as Kael's fiasco has given me much to figure out and document. I hope we made the right decision that won't backfire

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah will patrol the emerging township, keeping a watchful eye out for any trouble or discrepancies. He is pleased that the Kael trial is over, but is worried that it may not in fact be truly over. He wonders if more trouble could arise.

He is in the middle of a report when Lord Varden comes up to him and asks for his time.

Of course, what is on your mind giving him a nod and offering a chair.

Elijah ponders the punishments offered, and thinks about Kael in particular.

When an opening presents itself, his baritone voice breaks in,

I have a plausible, if unorthodox solution to Kael. What if we give him what he wants...exile? We tie him to a horse and lead him half a days ride away from here, and than dump him off with only the clothes on his back, no supplies whatsoever. We tell him he will be viewed as a vagabond, and should we catch him trying to steal from us he shall be dealt with as such. We want everybody be to be happy here...right?! The other poor saps, I lash them once each and call it good, more should he break the law again as Samuel suggests. Besides, the wrath of a wife is much worse than any lash. A lash will heal and fade, but the wife will NEVER let you forget you've done wrong.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, listens as the other council members speak to both the apparent "ring leader", as well as the followers. He looks around to the colonists who have gathered in the tent, trying to determine where they stand on the offenders/offenses as well as what they perceive of the council.

Elijah eyes show both relief as everyone returns and then once told of the events he turns to disappointment.

Leaving is not wise, especially in an unknown land. We lost a person, which is not good. They say they "wished to start anew", but maybe there is more to this than being disgruntled. We need more information before making an informed ruling

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

[ooc]Being woken up[/ooc

Elijah is sound asleep, snoring ever so slightly when he hears the banging on his tent.

What the hell!

What do you want?!

After he is informed of the issue at hand, he gathers himself, throws his blade and shield in and heads out. After meeting with his other council members he decided to hand back and try to keep the crowd under control since anarchy and panic may happen at a moments notice.

Elijah was never great with words to soothe, but great at using them to "make" people listen. He fought the urge to yell at the citizens, as he is pretty sure they would not respond the way his watch crew would.

He joins in helping the unloading of the ships, as he is used to physical labor.

Elijah is smiling in the inside as the feast is agreed upon.

Good, a feast will ease whatever tension may have arisen from no such event. If spirits are up, morale is up meaning crime should be minimal. No sense in causing unrest upon landing. Besides, I need a stiff drink after such a shitty boat ride over

Elijah will partake of the feast, even if it means a few less cows and chickens to get the colony up and running. He takes a swig of whiskey and watches the young man imbibe WAY too much as he regrets it.

Hey kid, take it easy. The harder the liquor, the harder kick. You'll have plenty of time to grow into manhood here, don't ty to do it all at once, as he chuckles a bit thinking back to the younger days as his father gave him shit for the EXACT same thing.

Hope you are doing good sir...

Elijah continues to enjoy the feast and watching all the new citizens of Iplard. He keeps an ever watchful eye out just in case the people get out of control and drink too much.

Elijah says his goodbye to his father and visits his grandfather's grave one last time. He asks for the strength and resolve to help keep a new kingdom intact in the streets.

He picks up a cold weather outfit, but it just doesn't seem to help keep the cold out. His bones ache as the cold cuts him to the bone, and he wonders every day if he will survive the day and the weather.

He watches as a few of his other council members go "back-and-forth", with various interactions. He doesn't pay it too much attention, but files it in his memory should tensions arise.

I need to protect the other council members as well as the citizens. But how do I protect us from each other?

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah looks over at Qazag, Captain of the 13th Watch. I help keep the city streets safe, from thieves and other riff-raff. My father, Sebastian is a Drill Sargent for the 7th Squadron. He has said your "presence" is undeniable. At least he was honest with his assessment.

He takes a sip from a flask he has strapped on the inside of his mail, and looks around at the various jobs and roles of everyone.

Hmmm, I wonder if the rumors are true?!

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

A man with dirty blonde hair, dressed in slightly dented scale mail, enters through the door. His mustache flutters as he speaks in a deep baritone register.

Greetings everyone, as he bows to the regal company before him. My name is Elijah Moore, and a hope I am not too late

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Gilthanis here. If paizo cooperates I will get my guy statted out.

finished :)

He wasn't 100% finished yet. Working theory lol

This is my concept for the game. Empiricist Investigator.

Backstory: Elijah has an older brother Jeff, who helped to protect Elijah most of his life. Jeff is the stronger, faster older brother. Elijah is the weak, puny runt of the family. Elijah, uses his guile, wit, and cunning to figure things out.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Hey boss! There is some pushy, fugly green half blood named Kraull here wanting to see ya. Want me to get rid of him?!

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Where you going to boy? You ain't the boss, so you WON'T be strutting around like you are. I will be happy to give the cranky bastard a message from ya.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, will reload his crossbow, and once again fire at the enemy, this time the spider.

crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Do we know if this blue thing can communicate?

In common, Elijah will try to speak with the blue creature.

Stop if you can understand me. We don't have to fight

He lowers his crossbow, aiming down towards the blue creature. If it doesn't heed his warning, he fires upon the enemy than moves back from the opening.

crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 2

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, looks towards the ceiling, only to have his attention drawn from the eerie webs to the area below. He has to blink twice...is that one of those ugly blue things...riding...a...spider?

Guys, we have company from below. It appears to be one of the fugly blue things riding a angry spider. Get ready for a fight!

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, looks to the top of the vaulted ceilings, wondering if there are spiders living within the webbing. He grabs his crossbow and readies it just in case.

Wow, we didn't take long to "hope off the rails" and head down the slippery slope of chaos lol

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

How about we each go our separate ways then. You don't get infected while we head our way...win-win right?

Elijah tries to use the bluff from Jared to his advantage to avoid any senseless violence.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, will look at Zorin as he gets hauled back up/

Are you okay? I do not have enough connection to my god yet to pry you from the fingers of the afterlife, so you cannot die until I get to such power.

He looks around, I suppose we can check out the large hole we discovered earlier

At the room, with the large pit, Elijah, looks to the others, So, any thoughts or ideas?

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah will brace his foot against the stone in an attempt to pull Zorin up at a faster pace.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, will keep his crossbow out, still fearful of the damned flyig enemy to come back.

Well that was annoying. How do we get across, jump? What about using rope to make a bridge of sorts?

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Frustrated at the ensuing events, he curses under his breath, Son of a...

Think...think. Maybe light will work

Elijah, then casts light on his crossbow bolt, and moves ever so slowly closer to the darkness hoping to reveal whatever is inside it.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Well I am currently useless in darkness.

Hmm, what could I do without getting near the front lines.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah will reload his crossbow, than await the creature's arrival from the darkness.

Elijah, looks at the various passages presented, he thinks back to teh hole in the ground.

Well, if we all feel comfortable, we could go back to the hole. I would suggest we do our best to clear this level of whatever is residing here. I would hate to come back up to an "unwelcoming party" as it were.

I suggest going down the west passage, from the "undercity room 1 & 2 page"

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

I am game for more exploring

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Hopefully I do this correct, if not sorry :)

Elijah, after having a drink will take the rest of the day to canvas the vast cliff city to get the lay of the city. He inquired about the potential of a Brewers guild, a place to produce local beverages, strong liquor and other such goods.

K local for influence: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

The next two days he goes to work, trying to gain coin for such high endeavors.

coin making: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 121d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

So, would I be going the "Brewer" route or something different?

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah will be happy to take a break from adventuring. He heads back to the innkeeper who promised him a week of free stay after completing the job, and rests for the remainder of the night.

He than heads back down, and talks to the innkeeper about any possibility of sampling whatever alcoholic stock he currently has.

Howdy sir, I know that you won't be getting replacement stock for a day or two, but is there anything you have on hand I may be able to sample? I would like to keep my tastebuds in good working order as it were? Also, is there anything I could do to help you improve your business. The more people that come in, the more potential profit you could gain from those wanting to imbibe your alcoholic beverages.

Elijah, thinks for a moment, rubbing his chin in hopes Cayden's inspiration will strike him.

What about a happy hour, if you don't have one already? We can take a look at what products sell, and pair them with a food dish of some sort? Also, what beverages don't sell very well, could go for a slightly higher discounted rate? You may be taking a small loss, but if they don't sell then you would take even a bigger loss as you make no profit whatsoever.

When did you say your new stock was coming in again?

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Hey, you okay Zorin. I cannot resurrect the dead yet, I don't know how to properly call upon my God for that. Don't be dying on me unless I get bring you back. he looks with a worried look as Zorin almost takes a plunge into the depths below.

I say we go back, rest up a bit and get paid by the bartender. We can always come back later, perhaps with some rope and better equipment for such spelunking endeavors?

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, will take a step backwards. He grabs his holy symbol, and say a quick prayer. As he finishes, the party is filled with vigor, and feels as if they hand and eye is guided ever so slightly by his god.

Free 5' back, tehn cast Bless. +1 attack, saves vs fear

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, crossbow drawn, expecting something to come out and try and rip them from limb to limb, proceeds into the room with caution.

taking black line route, defensively if possible?

He looks around, trying to spot anything of value, or worthwhile to look at further.

I have 2 channels left, plus a bless and my Domain spell. I say one more room would tap me out for this exploring session.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

I was torn with what to do. I figured if we ended the battle sooner rather than later, it would stop us from taking any potential damage. Besides, how was I supposed to know the dice-bot was gonna be generous?

Elijah, will stand there, awaiting for the others to finish off the lone skeleton.

Elijah, will look at Jared as he gets the disappointed look.

How was I to know that you had made one your personal pet? Undead are unnatural, and should not be left to their own devices. Would you rather let everyone get ganged up on by them?

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, will once again channel the divine to root out the unnatural living of the decrepit enemy.

Cayden, banish these tortured and demented souls, so we may continue in our revelry.

DC 13 will for half damage, effects all undead in 30' radius burst: 1d6 ⇒ 2

We still have a lot of resources still available to us (ie spells, ammo, etc), so I vote continue on.

Human Ranger (Tactician) 2 | HP: | AC FF TCH | F/R/W: | Init +

Elijah, will look at the rats, than at the little blue creature.

Is that the cause of the rats going crazy? Hmm, I wonder if he is the only creature, or are there more?

Elijah will look around, hoping there are no more like the blue thing on the way. Satisfied that there is nothing else incoming, he begins to look around. He sees the stone statue, and is curious about its nature.

per: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

per stone statue for any useful quirks/info: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

He casts detect magic on the statue in case its magical, and than keeps the aura up and goes around the room and focuses on the various crates and barrels in the storage unit.
