Eleshanto chuckles as the discussion turns to he and Nicat trying to trick the goblins again, "I fear they're right this time Nicat. Let's let those with the big swords lead the way and when we find the goblins we can try our tricks while they're occupied. Of course, it might not be goblins at all." he muses.

Eleshanto digs into his food with relish while listening to the rest talk about the attack and tomorrow's plan. When Noro speaks, he recalls she didn't go see the Sheriff and recaps, "Word is that something desecrated the Boneyard. Sheriff is thinking it was the goblins and that some might still be holed up in there someplace. Perhaps a crypt. But I agree with those of you that think that would be odd. Doesn't sound like goblins. Whenever the caravan has run into them, its a quick hit and then they run off. More like the attack on the town."

"A drink sounds like a fine idea, especially if you're buying. Nicat, looks like the Hagfish will have to wait." Eleshanto joins the crowd heading to the Sheriff.

Eleshanto rushes belatedly into the street where the man and dog were being attacked by the goblins. "Well, that was a different sort of excitement for the festival than I was expecting. Is everyone ok?"

Eleshanto keeps racing toward the direction of the screams. Let me know if I still have a standard action or need a double move to get there. Not going to melee range, just within 30 feet ideally.

"Arduino, I'm not going to debate you right now. You better be ready to run it through if it wakes up before you tie it up though." Eleshanto races off to find the source of the screams for help.

Eleshanto spares a glance for everyone racing toward the calls for help. Someone better make sure we finish what we started. He draws his rapier and kills another of the sleeping goblins. Coup de grace 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (1) + 1 = 4

"Never learned that particular trick, but there are other ways to shut her up." Eleshanto fires an arrow at the female goblin and then runs 30 feet in her direction.
Attack (Shortbow, Precise Shot) 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage (Shortbow) 1d6 ⇒ 5

I could and was definitely considering that as a possibility, but I think the range is going to be a similar problem with her.

I think I probably am within 30 feet of you Nicat, but I need to be within 30 feet of them to get you to disappear and I don't think I'm quite close enough yet.

Eleshanto holds his bow and keeps running toward the goblins, most concerned with the one chasing the little girl. Move action to get 30 feet closer to the goblins. Standard action depends on whether I am within 30 feet of them at the end of the move action. Disappearing act for Nicat (DC 14) if I am close enough. Continue to move toward the goblins if I am not.

Eleshanto laughs and shakes his head at Nicat. "Truly today is your day my friend. Perhaps Desna really does smile on you. Either that or you're setting yourself up for some horrible accident later."

Moments later, Eleshanto reacts with a start as the sound and sight of the goblins disrupts the fun.
Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Surprise Round
Seeing Nicat bolt toward the goblins, Eleshanto takes a moment to unsling his bow and readies himself to move toward the little fiends cavorting through the town.
I'm assuming from the description that they are more than 30 feet away. Otherwise Eleshanto will initiate bardic performance and cause Nicat to disappear instead. (DC 14)

Eleshanto looks around at the gathering crowd and grins. "If you want to see more of that outstanding shooting, be sure to stop by the caravan tonight. Flaming arrows! See Sylvan shoot an arrow through an apple! You won't believe your eyes! And you won't believe what he has planned for Nicat! Come one, come all!"

Eleshanto is thrilled to get a little break from the usual routine and dives into the festival. After enduring the speeches, a gaggle of young girls who recognize him from a previous visit drag him off to the sack races giggling the whole way. Hoping to gracefully slip away, Eleshanto hops enthusiastically into a sack and then immediately manages to fall on his face. Laughing, he wryly comments "Girls, I don't think this one is for me. Have a great time and be sure to stop by the caravan later. We should have some fun new things to check out."
Sack Race Dexterity 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

He begins weaving his way through the crowds, hoping to spot Nicat and see about getting into some trouble, but spots the bean count along the way and decides to hazard a guess of 146.
Guess the beans 1d100 + 100 ⇒ (46) + 100 = 146

Hoping to catch up on events in Sandpoint while tracking down Nicat, he meanders about the grounds, chatting with various locals, including Kendra, Abstalar, Ameiko, Shalelu, and Brodert.
Charisma check 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 =5

Looking up, Eleshanto finally spots Nicat up in the tree, "Ha, should have known I would need to look up to find you. Trying to break your neck again or just get skewered by Sylvan? I bet we can get a pretty good crowd watching you take your life into Desna's hands up there."

Wow, went to bed too early last night. Thanks for the selection. Can't wait to get started!

Nicat and Sylvan - are you two both ok getting targeted with disappearing act?

I think its the ale that leads to the fishwater.

Alexander - I like the tweak to the consecration of the new temple. I think Eleshanto is going to be very wary of him though unless Alexander has a surprising sense of humor.

Nicat, that's an interesting shift. I think your character is one that would fit in quite well as a member of the caravan or someone in town that we know well. I'd been picturing Eleshanto and him at the Hagfish together. Maybe that works even better with both of them in the caravan and neither ever being able to keep the "water" down. I'd definitely been thinking that Eleshanto would synergize well with the rogues so good to see you're thinking along the same lines.

Hagfish:

For those not in the know, there is a tavern in Sandpoint called the Hagfish that has a rather infamous fishtank and a standing bet about drinking the water. Just the sort of thing a rapscallion like Eleshanto can't resist.

Zestlian - You also might consider making the link to Zelladanyia's mother since she'd fit the "elder" mentioned in your profile.

Zestlian would probably make a good hunting partner for Eleshanto. He's terrible at the hunting part but not bad at the shooting part. A little frustration from Zestlian over how Eleshanto always has his mind on other things seems quite in character for both of them.

I think you could turn your Handle Animal skill into something that the caravan could make money off too. Do you train animals? Help care for horses that the caravan trades?

You could consider Profession (Fortunetelling) too. That's consistent with Desna, they just steer clear of "bad" fortunes.

Anyone want to collaborate on fleshing out this caravan a bit? I've seen a range from religious pilgrims to merchant to performers. I was definitely leaning toward the merchant/performer side of things. A group that makes money (mostly legal since we're all good) from visiting small towns across Varisia. I think Eleshanto would not be above taking some money from some of the people that are real jerks toward the caravan, but mostly he's interested in honest (fun) gain.

A caravan without a bard? Can't let that go by. Here's Eleshanto, a street performer bard who grew up in the caravan. More in the profile.
