Eleanor fell for one of the Aspis Consortium’s classic recruitment slogans, “We will feed you.” Having grown up under the bridges and in the waste of Underbridge, within the Shadow District of Maginmar, almost directly under the Irespan, Eleanor had never actually experienced a great many things. The Aspis promised wonders never dreamt of, food when hungry, direct sunlight, clean water, and friends to watch over you while you slept. It was a dream job. Until the Pathfinder Lodge intervened.

Captured by the Pathfinders in a routine sweep of the Puddles in Absalom, Eleanor was shocked and horrified to learn that the prison conditions of the Pathfinders far surpassed her recruit accommodations as an Aspis initiate. Realizing her failure in the Consortium most likely meant she had forfeit the remainder of her life, Eleanor gladly shared all her knowledge with the mistress of the Dark Archives. Apparently the Paracountess found the gnome charming on some level, as she offered Eleanor a place in the new faction’s novice ranks.

Since her admission to the Dark Archives, Eleanor has made many leaps in her development. She learned her hair, for example, was not in fact green. Once washed it was actually a lovely shade of violet. What she had been mistaking for a tan was just garden-variety filth. Most important, she learned that her skill in magic far outstripped the typical gnomish tricks. Under the excellent tutillage of her faction, Eleanor quickly developed a love of her new talens, and currently eagerly awaits confirmation.

The Adventures of Eleanor, Part I (Background):
Eleanor fell for one of the Aspis Consortium’s classic recruitment slogans, “We will feed you.” Having grown up in the waste of Underbridge, within the Shadow District of Maginmar, almost directly under the Irespan, Eleanor had never actually experienced a great many things.

Eleanor's Confirmation:

Eleanor ventured into the northern wilds in an attempt to help Janira, Inira McCullagh, Silas Proth, Tsadok the Crimson, Waki Huro, and fellow gnome, Acel Odair with their confirmations. To be certain, it was her confirmation as well, but her main focus was making sure the group succeeded. On the way north the group encountered a swarm, and Eleanor made a bit of a fool of herself asking for help from Janira when one of her own Color Spray spells proved to be more than enough. Janira took care not to offend Eleanor, even though Eleanor probably deserved a little chiding.

Upon arrival at the cave they were sent to investigate, Janira found a minotaur and bravely led the monster off so that the others could continue their investigation of the caves. Inside the group discovered some glowing fungi, a magical cloak, and a miniature representation of the city of Absalom. A gillman was watching over the miniature representation of the city. It was discovered that by honoring some of the sacred guises of the dead god, Aroden, blessings could be gained. Specifically, it was learned the bringing light into the miniature city granted a blessing.

It seemed the gillmen still returned to this sacred underwater altar, possibly for the boons it was still capable of granting.
