This is a cool monster concept! The illusion magic is a great touch, making them more than just smart dolphins. Maybe tie the illusions to local folklore more explicitly? Thinking of the boto's speed & agility, it reminds me of Moto X3M, zipping through obstacles. Are there any river-specific hazards that the boto could use illusions to navigate or exploit? Expanding on the folklore aspect would make them even more memorable.
