Personality (Work in Progress):
Edric is a man who is cheerful and self-deprecating, but often has places to be and things to do, or at least appears that way. He is reticent and rarely the one to speak up first, but is willing to opening up to a friendly face. He fervently believes in his independence and curiosity, and the rights of others to express their independence, but is calm and collected in his actions.

Appearance (Work in Progress):
A young man of relatively average build, Edric has dark black hair, cold blue eyes, and a face of permanent troubled concern, despite his age and relatively cheery demeanor. He wears comfortable robes befitting a Skyridge mage, but which conspicuously lack the materials pouch common to many of the magi and alchemists of the city.

Background (Subject to DM approval):
Since the foundation of the city, the Lymbaults' often prodigal progeny have contributed to the success of Skyridge. From advancing arcane and alchemical research to using their magical talents in defense of their fair city, the name of Lymbault, a small yet proud family of wizards, is well-known and respected. Their tinkering came at the expense of the family's now dwindling inheritance, and they worked often at a loss, as they sought not the wealth but honor and glory for the city's name.
Edric Lymbault, fourth and youngest son of Vanden Lymbault, showed remarkable magical talent, even amongst his own family. At a young age, he was caught by his parents deep into the night reading stories of a ancient world beyond Skyridge with lights springing forth from his fingertips. The boy, not ever taken as a wizard's apprentice, and lacking formal training, had demonstrated some control over the arcane. Edric's parents convinced another wizard in the lower district, Natal Cindenger, a former explorer turned kindly mender of tools, to assist in his schooling. Upon realizing the difference in Edric's talents and his own, Natal did not provide spellbooks, but the few books in arcane theory that he could muster. Edric poured over the esoteric language, and under the guidance of Natal, began to acquire a mastery of his own natural talents. As his apprenticeship came to an end, his family came upon harsher financial times, as research projects by his lesser brothers and sister resulted in failure after failure. Edric's siblings: Vana, Tigard, and Dromus all hired themselves out as mercenary battlemages, jobs befitting failed researchers. Vanden Lymbault and his wife, Lina, retired to a more mundane lifestyle, living off of the scant remainder of inheritance of the family's ancestral patriarch. Edric searches for a way to redeem his disgraced family, slake his thirst for adventure, and see those places in the children's books he read many years ago.
