I am (was) an Australian subscriber and have not received my Dragon #358 and the poster was also missing in #359. I only realised something was amiss a couple of days ago (my mags usually take forever to get here) so I emailed customer service but I've yet to hear back from anyone. What's the situation with replacements? I have just read through all the posts this thread but couldn't see a definitive answer. I'm a bit peeved no one has replied to my email.

Eddicat,

I've replied to your email. We've been pretty backed up in that department, and apologize for the wait!

As for the Canadian poster and Dragon #358, we are still working with our printer to get more information. We are inquiring fairly regularly, and will be sure to let everyone know once we have something concrete to report.

Thank you, I have just received your email. One question though - How come it takes so long to get an answer out of your printer? Sounds fishy to me!

Just because it animates doesn't mean it's magical. I looked on it as a mechanical device.

Really? Carved snakes that writhe aside like living creatures, causing a solid marble pillar to morph into an arch.....mechanically? I'd like to see that! I admire your optimism. :)

Oh well, I guess stranger things have happened although usually such things are explained away by means of magic in D&D. I'll see what I can come up with.

There is no Honour: Damn pesky wizard has done a detect magic on the central pillar in the vault. Anyone got any stats for this since it seems to be magically opening door once the lever is pulled? The rest of the party is in combat with the iron cobra so there'll be several rounds for the wiz to check out the pillar and I can't think what kind of spells would in effect on it.

Thanks James, that's just the kind of info I was after!

Well, according to LGG the languages for the Sea Princes are Common, Olman, Amedi, Keolandish, and Halfling, so considering the official history of Sasserine I don't think it's unreasonable to think that Keolandish is common there too.

What about non-greyhawk specific languages that might be relevant to the campaign. In other words, I'm sure there must be a few different races (e.g. goblins, lizardmen?) prevalent in the area around Sasserine and even beyond the immediate area. I'm looking for languages that a PC might be interested to learn when deciding to become an adventurer, if you know what I mean.

I am just starting to run the STAP and have only read the first two chapters. Which languages should I advise my players are common to the Sasserine region?

Thanks James, and everyone else who replied. I just wanted to know if there was something I was missing. If one of my PC's takes ranks in Knowledge (Geography) then I wanted to be prepared for any hidden synergy or other mod I might have been unaware of.

A masterwork sextant sounds like a great idea though. I might have Amella lend it to the PC's, if they spy her using it on the deck!

P.S. Yes, I am a pendant but for anyone keeping tabs on the NPC stats, Amella's swim mod should be +6 (not +7 as listed) due to her -1 STR mod.

How does Amella get +7 Knowledge (Geography)? Should be +3 by my calculations. Does she get a +4 from Lavinia's charts or something?

yes, but compare that to man-hours lost dealing with people who are complaining about not having the supplement yet... ;)

Not to mention reading posts that turn out to be nothing but useless spam. ;) By the way, I think you are confusing feedback with complaining.

I certainly hope we can get better at getting the supplements out in a timely manner. The thing that's been slowing us down is including the Age of Worms conversion notes with the rest of the supplement. For Savage Tide, I'm considering keeping the conversion notes and the map/art supplement seperate, although I'm not really sure yet if that adds to the workload or not...

In that case I would suggest you definitely keep any conversion notes separate for Savage Tide. That way you can release the supplement and those that wish to run the other adventures (those that are not part of the adventure path) don't have the excruciating wait.

P.S. I know I could start an adventure without the hand outs but they are just so cool that I can't bring myself to play without them.

Any word yet on this supplement?

Also, earlier in the thread you said that Dungeon has been doing supplements since #114. I don't see a supplement for #114 or #115 in the news section. I don't own these issues but was interested if they had supplements in case I pick up the back issues.
Just look: http://paizo.com/dungeon/resources/downloads

Thanks Senden, found it now!

Back to the AoW conversion notes, why would it take more manpower to keep that separate from the player handouts? You are already producing both so all you need do is complete the handouts first, save the pdf and continue on with the AoW notes. Or am I missing something?

Are you assuming that everyone is running Age of Worms? Why not keep the notes separate, I say.
