Silver Crusade

I have a player who was dead set on using mage hand as a attack.

He carries around a 5 pound slag of metal and moves it 15 feet above the enemy and drops it. He was dead set on it (this was during game) so just resolve the argument for the time being I ruled that it'd do 1d4 damage with a +0 bonus to attack sine he's just dropping it.

I honestly don't think mage hand could be used in this manor. Am I correct, or is he correct? If he is, what would you suggest a 5 pound slag of metal do for damage and should he get any bonus on the attack or damage?

I've got a player who is going to be playing a cleric (Chaotic Neutral/evil channeling) using the fire domain in the Carrion Crown. In this module there are a few undead enemies that also have fire templates (flaming skeletons, flaming flying heads and such).

Since his channeling will be both evil(Channel negative energy) and fire with the variant rules (he does half damage/healing but those that fail a save are caught on fire). How will it affect them and normal undead? Will the fire skeletons take no damage from the fire and be healed by his negative energy? I really don't like running evil characters (he's an exception since he plays evil, but good for the party, AKA i'll be good if you don't get my way)

Does anyone know if their other PDF's will be offered as lite as well, or new ones from here on? I'm wanting to run Carrion Crown but the normal PDF's don't work to well on my kindle fire. The lite one work wonderfully

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I've got a wizard that wants to cast grease then use a torch, or another spell to light it on fire.

This seems just fine but i can't find how it would work mechanically, like how much damage it would do, and how long it would last is what i'm curious

Hi,

I'm running Kingmaker for my friends. From what i'm looking at the game is designed for, four players. It's looking like i'm going to have between 5-6 players in the game. I know i can just add a few more monsters in each encounter but i'm not exactly sure how many i'll need to add. Any recommendations?

Also, i do have a DM roll out sheet for using wet erase markers on but I'm still pretty bad at drawing maps. I'm not against spending a bit of money on something, does anyone have any idea's on what i can use?

Hi,

I've got a friend who'd like to play a lycanthrope of some sort. Probably were-fox maybe. The Bestiary gives rules on how to do a natural lycanthrope, but i don't know if this will give the player a level adjustment.

Does anyone have any links or advice on how to run a low level natural lycanthrope? Wanting to do Rise of the Runelords (probably all the way through if possible) but i don't want to over power him at first.

I suggest Kingmaker or Rise of the Runelords. Kingmaker uses the medium track but I think Rise of the Runelords would work with the fast track pretty well.

Thanks! Rise of the Runelords sounds like it might work well. Need to look at Kingmaker to be sure but that helps.

Hi,

I'm a bit new to DMing (and this forum, so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot) but i love the pathfinder system. Recently i've been convinced to run another game for my friends. They love playing fast games, as do i but I'm not comfortable enough to create custom campaigns (though i a have few ideas).

Any tips on justifying the increase in leveling without unbalancing the module?

Also, i want to start a level 1 campagian, i tried the Bastards of Erebus? (it's been a while) and that failed due to a really bad player. Any recommendations?
