Any time DM Carpe.

I have left Dron fairly generic as a Varisian Scarzni criminal. He will probably get a name change to avoid entanglements with the "mafiosi".

Might look at the Inner Sea guide and drop a few more links in to the background later this evening.

Cheers

Here you go Edward.

guide info

Dron is done.

I'd like to wish four of you good luck. Well five if I don't make the final cut.

Cheers

I have a babysitting gig tonight so should be able to concentrate on the bio for my PC. Hopefully move back to the completed side of the draw.

Cheers

Good stuff.

Just to give you a heads up, Arodwumm the dwarf, didn't quite get the right rolls to make a rogue with a soupçon of anti-paladin. He was my placeholder. My application will be a human probably this one.

Have a good Thanksgiving to all you colonials from over the pond.

Cheers

And the holy warrior and servant of Norgorber continues to lurk - waiting his opportunity.......

Happy trails and sudden deaths

Well done Shadow.

I know I am leaving this until the last minute but I'll work on the background and personality of Dron until the closing date of tomorrow.

1. What can you bring to the organisation? Dron is a destructive force allied to a willingness to learn your ways.

2. Why should we trust you? Dron will be on a sabbatical from his Qadiran cult to foster stronger links within the greater network of killers. His coming is the repayment of an honourable favour and Dron will not let that down.

3. What future do you see with us? The favour will be repaid over one year. Beyond that is a matter for our superiors.

4. How religious are you? Dron is a deeply religious follower in Norgorber, almost brainwashed in his belief in the cause of the mercenary assassin.

DM - I would prefer him to be NE or LE in alignment to show his honourable side. Plus I need to find out more about the Qadiran trait and its influence on his background, but essentially he was either stolen or sold on to the black and brown of Norgorber. My copy of the Qadiran guide is not on holiday with me though. Should get access to it over the weekend.

5. Your target is sitting in his study smoking a pipe. Next to him is his prized warhound. Across from him his maid is quietly dusting the mantle of the well lit fireplace where a blaze is going brightly on top of the stone floor of the hearth. Thus far you are unseen. What do you do? A masked Dron walks in with something of value to the mark, throwing down a piece of poisoned steak for the dog. He orders everyone to say calm or the tied child/wife will be killed. Then the maid must pull down a curtain cord and tie the mark. Then lie face down by the fire.
Dron lets the child/wife have a final embrace with their kin, while they are busy he bends down and bites the throat of the maid. She becomes one less complication. Finally he pulls the others apart, puts the wife/child in another chair and reminds everyone of his oath unless everyone stays calm. The wife/child gets to watch him tear the throat out of his helpless mark.
Then he keeps his word and leaves the last alive, the wife or child alive. Her tongue and eyes must be burnt out of course.

I will work on the rest over the next day.

Here goes, I should say that my NPC rolls are usually rubbish.

Hru drags out his greatsword and moves back down the stairs to the rear of the party. He slashes upwards between the legs of the guard that sports Eria's bolt.

Attack roll 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15, damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2) + 3 = 9

The alias Dron Drox is pretty much how I would like to see the character sheets.

The sections that matter to the DM are the training ones and the skills. So if you have a preferred way of doing an alias then so long as I can read those bits quickly and easily, go for it.

My next step is to hand out your bits that need completing for level one. I shall probably do that individually for ease.

Cheers

I am going to have to give this a miss, chaps. Playing Dron is proving no fun wit his low Intelligence. Let him die, it is for the best really.

There are many other reasons, not least because of increases to the amount of work my wife and I are doing, and my baby boy is no longer sleeping for three hours a day.

Having a student get a good report yesterday was smashing but it means I now have to to work that bit harder to keep her progressing.

Zoom, and I wish you and your game all the best.

Sorry for mucking you about.

Cheers

Don't give Dron the potion.

The half-orc's body shudders and lies still.

DM Spoiler

Spoiler:
Dron will bleed for another round after he falls and then he stabilises on -2

Dron calls out loud, "Gorum, take me!" and swings his sword for all he is worth at the tentacle.

As the sword bites in, the half-orc collapses in a heap, his sword stuck.

Final attack = 22, Damage = 11

As the tentacle hits, Dron sways about in its grasp.

Dron pulls at the greatsword in anger.

Reflex Save (1d20+3=16)

Dron's attack = 18, Damage = 8

The half-orc steps up to slash at the arm holding Toranaga with a roar.

Dron slices at the monster....

Attacks the first tentacle near him (1d20+5=8, 2d6+6=12)

...and misses.

Dron sees something flicker out the corner of his eye and starts to turn towards the new enemy.

Initiative (1d20+2=11)

Triska of the Shundar-Quah wrote:
"And what if something was living in the niches behind the broken mirrors? Something that still lives behind these. A battle avoided is a battle won."

"Stupid. Fight or die. Not miss fight!" Shouts the warrior priest of a Battle Lord.

Dron begins to walk around the left hand wall, but decides to wait for the other warriors.

Dron decides that enough is enough and begins to go down the tunnel. He carries his greatsword before him and swishes it from side to side.

Dron goes to see what is down each tunnel.

Dron checks the goblin body over.

Heal check (1d20+6=11)

"Gorum make sure you got this one." Dron stabs it through the neck with his dagger.

"Dead Yoshi", nods the half-orc.

Dron pulls a dagger from his belt and prepares to take down the goblin. he waits to see if Yoshi wants it dead.

Dron follows Kaldren. It saves on thinking to have others making decisions.

Dron grabs a stone off the floor. He wipes a bit of his own blood on the stone and casts for Gorum's aid.

"light stone Gorum."

Then he lobs it into the room near where Vilya is.

"Vilya just there, now you see too. Right?"

I am on a short break until Sunday evening. I'll try to keep an eye on the game but computer access may be sporadic at best.

Feel free to NPC Dron if needed Zoom.

Cheers

"Yoshi, Vilya go there and hurt goblin crawl there in big room. Words on walls too. And doors. And tall things for keeping roof up!" So answers Dron the scout proudly.

"I see in dark!"

Dron goes to the top of the stairs and looks around with his perfect nightsight.

"Kerrboom!"

Second CLW on Yoshi (1d8+3=10)

Dron taps Yoshi and small detonation of energy fires into his wound.

CLW on Yoshi (1d8+3=5)

Dron wakes up from the healing potion, rolled 7hps putting him on 4hps.

The half orc looks around for his greatsword.

"Ta," he looks at Kaldren. Then the half orc tries to see if others have honest battle wounds that Gorum will heal.

I believe others took wounds, but who is badly in need of healing. Other than Vilya the distant rope-bouncer.

Dron lies on the ground twitching, in a pool of blood.

Spoiler:
Stabilisation roll 12%, stops bleeding out.

Dron tracks the shifty goblin and slices down at his head.

Second attack 14+5=19, Damage 6+6=12

With a bellow, at the many enemies he now sees, Dron attacks one. DM Choice by Init 6 His greatsword sweeps across the neck of a goblin.

Attack roll 4+5=9, Damage 4+6=10, Damage higher than attack roll, that's not good. Apologies I forgot to use IC.

That's more like it!

Battle and lots of things going on. Yoshi seems scary. It is my first exposure to the Book of Nine Swords and I am already beginning to see why people like it.

Rapid Assault! is that the extra attack or the extra d6 damage or both?

Cheers

Dron looks down at the little critter and laughs.

Initiative 6 (+2)

He readies his greatsword but expects it to die with one blow from Yoshi.

"What dark? Fine down here, no shadows." Dron looks puzzled.

"Got bright stick, magic. Not got no lamp," answers the half-orc.

Dron's greatsword waves towards the entrances, as he waits for the party.

Not Dron's bag.

Dron picks up some food, and just to be safe after his recent diet, he picks up some more, quickly stuffing it all in his backpack.

The rest is beyond his intelligence. I wonder if Vilya will live up to her name?

Dron will not remember much of the evening, and that's probably a good thing.

Dron wants a big fat mamma with a good appetite for food, drink and wrestling in the dark.

Dron tightens his scarf as he steps up to Triska. "Food? Drink? Fight? all good."

Dron pads along after Triska.

"I don't think so."

Dron interrupts the question.

"Gorum say come here good battles. I trust."

"I don't think so. Where fight? What things we fight? You tell me." The half-orc stops leaning against the back wall and starts wagging one fat finger at the host.

"Thanks."

"Oi, you tell me what Gorum want here. Where fight?" Dron stares at Rollo hard. "This place is good, but wizards weak. Who dis fation?"
