Sorry I've been rather quiet lately!
"Well, I'm still good to go, but you're right about this being a good spot to rest. I'll take first watch." Not paying much attention to the bickering of the soft skins, Dra'zaak focuses more on keeping an eye out towards the building's entrance while everyone talks. Once they decided to stay, Dra'zaak repositions himself into the smaller room with the outside door peeped open a tidbit and keeps an eye and ear focused outside until someone else relieves him of his watch.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
"I could use a bit of healing, that.. thing got me good." Dra'zaak winces as he examines his claw wounds. They don't look life-threatening, and he could heal it up himself, but since someone else offered..
He winces more when Malzii begins to yell in the caverns - more from the fact that it echos around him than he's worried about it alerting something mean, though there is always that too. He shakes his scaly head to get rid of the ringing in his ear-holes.
"Do we need to rest? Is anyone tired or out of spells? Or can we keep moving? Except for a little bit of healing, I'm good to go myself. Though this place is a good place to rest.. I don't want to anger Torag more than we have to with our presence. Dwarves never did get along with us Kobolds.. and he appears to be an angry god.."
And of course Dra'zaak knows nothing about Torag beyond he's a dwarven god.. XD
Also, I'm at 4/10 hp, so I could definitely use some healing.

Apologies for the lack of posting on my part everyone! School has been really hectic this week (and almost every week to a certain extent, ugh), and I've just been swamped. I'll have a post up tonight for certain.
On another note, how are we doing on resources? Do we even need to stop and rest? Dra'zaak is injured, but with a quick spell, extract, or charge from his wand, he'll be good to go.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
As the creature attacks, Dra'zaak jumps into action, closing with the dwarf-thing, grips his favored cold-iron shortsword tightly with one hand and stabs the thing, his aim far more accurate than the creature’s. Even as he’s trying to kill the thing, he shouts a quick prayer to the dwarven god in the common tongue, ”Torag, we didn’t mean to anger you by trespassing! Call off your guardian! We’d rather not have to kill it!”, futile as it may seem.

Asking a god to call off its guardian we're trying to kill after angering the god by trespassing on holy ground? I'm not sure if Dra'zaak's thought process is entirely logical in that regard >.>

Dra'zaak grabs hold of the door handle and nods silently to the rest of the group. Although he'd rather have gone about it stealthily, their yapping had already ruined any chance of a stealthy approach in case something waits for them inside. He hopes, however, that the place is a concecrated safe haven.
With shortsword in one hand, the door handle in the other, he slowly opens the door and peers inside.

"Wait!" Dra'zaak hisses at Gunnarrex as the gold-scale tries to open the door. "Let me listen at the door first before you go blundering in. We don't know whats in there!" As he approaches the door, Dra'zaak pulls out a small ear-trumpet and holds it to the door before putting his head to it to listen in.

Dra'zaak knocks an arrow into his shortbow moments before the group all attack the sleeping vermin and when Taalik yells, he looses the arrow, sending it hurling towards its target. Before it even hits the beast, he has another arrow knocked and ready, aiming for another shot.

That would be two doses, yeah?
After the snake is defeated, Dra'zaak takes a moment to harvest what he can from its venom glands, carefully putting it into a small flask he took from his alchemical toolkit. With that done, he continues along with the group.
As far as the building goes, Dra'zaak shrugs. "It would be a good place to rest and recouperate. Never been particular to Torag, but in absense of a more preferable shrine, its better than nothing."
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
I think Mackenzie mixed up Ixen and Gunn. Gunn rolled a natural 1 last turn and could not have hit, while Ixen rolled high.
Dra'zaak keeps a close eye on the beast's fangs, hoping to avoid them at all costs considering the poison. He takes his shortsword and lunges at the beast, attempting to skewer it.
Dra'zaak:
Standard: Attack w/ Shortsword (Flanking, hopefully)

Mackenzie, are you alright with someone extracting poison from defeated venomous foes? Its an houserule written by James Jacobs, so its not 'official', but its fairly reasonable.
James Jacobs wrote: Milking ANY animal for its poison isn't something the rules let you do, unless you use the Craft skill rules to make the poison. Which as we all know is a can of worms.
My house rule:
If you want to milk venom from an animal or harvest its poison from a freshly killed animal, make a skill check—Handle Animal for milking or Survival for harvesting. DC = 15 + the animal's CR. On a success, you extract one dose of poison. For each 5 points by which you exceed the target DC you get a 2nd dose. Regardless, you have the standard 5% chance of poisoning yourself unless you have poison use. Poison harvested in this manner remains viable for 24 hours before it spoils—making preserved poison that lasts longer requires Craft checks.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Oops. Guess we missed something!
Dra'zaak swears loudly in Draconic when he spots the snake he and Ixen failed to spot. Before it can successfully bite someone, he charges at the thing, pulling his shortsword out as he does so, and tries to stab it. "Watch its fangs! This one's poisonous!" He thinks a moment, despite combat, and adds shortly after, "Dibs on its poison!"

Drazaak nods to Ixen and points forward, before heading further into the tunnel. With nothing interesting to note yet, he figures theres no need to return to the group just yet, and continues forward, expecting his scouting companion to join him.
I figure we'll continue scouting until we find something interesting, then return to the group to report, aye Ixen?

Apologies for not posting yesterday like I had intended!
As the group begins to talk again, Dra'zaak motions to Ixen to go scout ahead with him. "Lets get a move on so we can get back to the surface. I'm not overly fond of being stuck down here." He turns back to the rest of the group and lets them know the plan. "Ixen and I will be scouting ahead, but it might be best if the entire group keeps moving as well, otherwise we'll be down here for ages."
Uh yeah basically, if we don't want to stay down here for too long, Ixen and I can scout ahead while everyone else moves at the slow pace of the injured woman/blind elf. Or we can keep doing it as-is, either way works heh.

Too bad none of us have the Shoulder to Shoulder alternate racial trait.
Dra'zaak swears to himself in Draconic, hating the cramped conditions; He knew that kobolds tended to live in cramped quarters underground, but he himself was never fond of such conditions, having grown up on the surface, with plenty of space to maneuver and shoot. With so many other bodies in his way, he wouldn't risk imbedding an arrow into an ally's back trying to shoot the vermin.
Same as before, readying an action in case something else pops up. Cramped conditions suck for archers! XD
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Dra'zaak isn't able to get a good shot considering the cramped quarters, and in the interest of not wanting to hit an ally, he instead holds position at the rear of the group and watches for danger and waiting for a clear shot.

Dra'zaak speaks Draconic, as he didn't hear the part about the soft-skins not being able to understand it. He had already gone scouting.
"Dra'zaak." He answers the purple-scale curtly, then turns to Aardiac. "Ixen and I can sneak up on them easily enough, perhaps we should take first shot then allow everyone else to charge in after? Otherwise, we can try to move in quietly and ambush them, though if the soft-skins follow us, it would likely ruin the ambush." He scratches his scaly chin in thought.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Meant 20 days for one kobold. You know, just in case. :P

Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Dra'zaak nods to himself, lifts up the heavy human-sized backpack filled with goodies, and quickly retreats as stealthily as he can back to group.
----
Dra'zaak appears to the others with a large backpack hefted in his arms, quite obviously struggling with the heavy weight. He places it down, relieved to have dropped the load and opens it. "Found a lost backpack from a soft-skin." He begins to take everything out and lay it near the backpack, listing off what he found. When he gets to the potions he opens them to take a whif, hoping to identify them via smell. "The bag and its contents are made for larger soft-skins, I can't carry it and stay quick and quiet at the same time. The food should be enough to last us Kobolds twenty days or so, (Small creatures eat half as much as medium ones) though with the big-folk with us it'll go faster."
"As far as where the tunnel leads, it continues past where I found the backpack and opens into another tunnel. Couldn't see where it went and carry the backpack at the same time. I can go check if you guys want."
Using Craft(Alchemy) to identify the potions via my Alchemy feature:
Identifying Amber Liquid Potion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Identifying Clear Liquid Potion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
I am NOT carrying the backpack btw. It'll put me well past my light load.

Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Gonna have to agree with Ixen! Right in the campaign heading is a perfect spot for it.

Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Ixen actually went north instead of sticking with me, so I'm going to assume I'm alone.
Dra'zaak scratches his scaley chin upon seeing the backpack and after examining the slippery ledge. Knowing he isn't much of a climber, he instead pulls out his rope and ties the end of it to a grappling arrow he pulls out of one of his quivers. Satisfied its secure, he moves a bit closer, knocks the arrow, takes aim, and launches it at the backpack. His aim is spot on as the grappling arrow lands on the backpack and, with a quick tug from Dra'zaak, hooks it. Carefully, he then slowly pulls on the rope to cause the backpack to fall off the ledge and tumble down onto the floor, where he then continues to reel in the backpack with his rope.
Once he pulls it all the way to him, he unhooks his arrow and quickly examines the backpack to make sure it isn't some crazy kobold-trapped backpack, then opens it.
I'm going to assume that a backpack counts as an 'object with ample places to latch onto', so I"m going to try and hook it with my grappling arrow and pull it down. According to the grappling hook entry, doing so is against an AC 5. Grappling arrows have a range increment of 30 ft.
Taking 10 on stealth and perception when moving in range of his shot, then taking 10 on perception to check the backpack for traps.
>Shortbow Grappling Arrow show: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Hopefully with Ixen and I scouting (and at least myself taking a proactive lead in scouting) we can keep things moving along nicely even in a dungeon crawl.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
With Ixen checking one side of the cavern and him the other, Dra'zaak moves silently into the tunnel, hoping it isn't unstable from the quakes. Provided theres nothing in the tunnel of interest or that might want to eat him, he continues to the edge of it to examine the next cavern.
Taking 10 still, 22 on Stealth, 17 on Perception.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Sounds good all the way around! On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays my posts might be short and sweet though, since I have particularly busy schedules on those days and will be getting home tired and probably not in the mood for a more intricate post.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Dra'zaak is rather surprised to see one of the other kobolds sneak forward with him, and although he appears about to argue against it, he notes how stealthy the gold-scale is, and keeps his mouth shut, and nods. Silently, he points at Ixen, points at his own eyes, then points to the other side of the cavern, hoping he gets the point across for Ixen to go scout the other side of the cavern to cover more ground. If the gold-scale doesn't get the message, he shrugs and continues forward silently, his bow out, regardless if Ixen is behind him or scouting the other end of the cavern.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Dra'zaak finishes cutting the maggots into meat and storing it as the other kobolds continue their lengthy debate about speaking Draconic or Common and blah-blah blah. "You guys talk too much, I agree with him." He jerks his head towards Gunnarrex. "If you're going to continue your debate, I'm going to go scout the cavern to make sure we don't run into anything dangerous with our handicapped in tow. Scouting was my job before this disaster happened. If you'll give me a minute, I'll be right back and let you know what I find so we can move on."
And with that, he crouches down and quietly moves ahead of the rest of the group, scouting.
Taking 10 for Stealth for a 22 and taking a 10 on Perception for a 17 (18 vs Traps).
I plan on moving ahead silently near the south wall until I spot something interesting.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Black-Kobold here! We like our meat pickled, like black dragons! Red Dragons would preferred it charred. White Dragons prefer it frozen, and Blue Dragons.. like horses? Oh wait no thats 3.5e Brown Dragons. Blue dragons eat human food.. and humans.
So how many days worth of food do you think I could get out of the maggots? (Mmm)
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Dra'zaak prefers pickled foods over rotten ones. His stomach can't quite handle the latter, but he loves the briney taste of pickles! (Pickled meats, mind you, not picked cucumbers)
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
I don't know if the maggot's meat is rotten or not - its just maggot meat. Certainly disgusting, but Dra'zaak wouldn't risk eating rotten spider meat.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
While the others are busy listening to the introduction of the softskins, Dra'zaak goes and inspects the spider and slain-maggots, retrieving his arrow from them as he kneels down to examine them. After ensuring that they're definitely dead, he pulls out his knife and cuts a small sampling of the maggot off, sniffs it, and gulps it down, shuddering at the taste and texture, regardless if they're demon-tainted or not.
Uh.. yeah, if the maggots aren't tainted or anything, I'd like to turn 'em into some un-preserved rations if possible. How many days worth of meat do you think they have on them? I'm assuming the spider's meat is devoured/rotten so I won't even ask about that.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
I'd like to have one of the Sacred Weaponry ones if possible.
Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1

Like those wierd bouncy lumps of flesh on their chests? Dra'zaak never understood soft-skins.. and many of the men have bouncy lumps on their chests too, usually accompanied by an even bigger one on their belly.
*Dra'zaak shrugs*
Its understandable for most kobolds not to be able to tell them apart! Heh.

Male Black-scaled Kobold Ranger/Alchemist 1
Dra’zaak awakens with a grunt, followed by a moan, followed by a gagging sound, at the end of which is the sound of the kobold emptying his stomach’s contents. Apparently raw rat did not mix particularly well with scenes of horrific demonic devastation and the death of a noble Draconic being in front of the kobold’s eyes. That, or it might’ve been a bad rat after all.
Regardless, Dra’zaak looks around after having lost what meal he had eaten and surveys the survivors. Like them, he notices the injured but is too late to get around to helping the soft-skins before one of the other kobolds gets around to it. While curious that he’d end up in such a situation with others of his kind, a sort of coincidence that doesn’t normally happen, Dra’zaak was just that he was alive, uninjured (if a little nauseous) and that they weren’t gnomes.
More importantly, however, he notices the movement within the nearby spider carcass. ”Shhh, why are you all focusing on the soft-skin? Its only a broken leg, she'll live for the time being. There’s something moving in that carcass.. might be some sort of demon. Best we check it out before it finishes eating the spider and decides to come after us.” Before examining the carcass, Dra’zaak quickly takes note of his gear, ensuring every arrow is in its place and making sure his jars of pickled meats, his preferred form of trail rations, remain unbroken. Thankfully, everything is miraculously in its proper place, so Dra’zaak draws his shortbow and creeps towards the carcass to examine it closer.

Well I can tell you right now its working wonders for our Rise of the Runelords and Iron Gods campaigns. We're on Book 2 in the first one, and almost at the end of Book 1 in the second one.
The way it works is that people generally DO get the items best suited for them. Obviously a caster wouldn't spend his share of money on the +1 Longsword that the group found, that would go to one of the physicals who wanted it. And if none of them wants it, then the money that the sword sells for will help buy something everyone does want, be it a longbow for one guy and a wand for another.
Nothing yet has gone to waste, except the things people don't want. As a group, we can all have a say if something shouldn't be 'sold' - say a Wand of Fireballs we find. That can be considered 'group loot' and not count towards the sell value and instead be given to someone who can use it for the benefit of the group.
The system isn't hard coded; we can all decide if something goes into the sell pile or kept for either individual purposes (Like, say, a +1 leather armor going to me) or for the group (a wand or healing item, or a magical bag to hold tents and survival gear for everyone).
And if someone wants something that will bring them to the negatives, then they 'owe' the rest of the group a portion of their share of the next batch of loot, or can give the group money out of their own pocket to make up for it. It creates a fair and balanced system that means no one gets left behind. If nothing drops for say, Gunnarrex, he'll still get money equal to what everyone else gets in gear and money so he won't be left behind, and can then buy or make items to make up for the fact that nothing dropped for him.
This makes sure that if no magical items drop for the casters (for example), then they'll still get the money to go buy said magical items, otherwise the physical types will outclass them in wealth-by-level and gear will be lopsided based off what drops.
*Edit* As far as say, Healing Wands go, everyone forks over some of their money to help buy a wand. With 6 people, a fully charged Wand of Cure Light wounds freshly bought from town would run everyone 125 gold, instead of one person spending their money on it and charging others for its healing. If such a wand is found, then it goes into the group loot pile and its sell value isn't counted. The wands healing then be used to heal whoever needs it, without a worry that the tank might end up needing more heals than everyone else.

Slurk. Slurk. Slurk.
The day had finally come. Terendelev, Guardian of Kenebres, was to make a grand appearance today, amongst the celebrations of the soft-skin tall-folk that called the city their home. For them, it was Armasse, a day of feasting and training and jousting. For Dra’zaak, it was the day he finally got to see Terendelev in the scales. It was a day he had long anticipated.
Slurk. Slurk. Plop.
For now, though, it was time for lunch. He had caught a few nice large, juicy, - and thankfully, untainted - rats earlier in the day, themselves gorged from the ripe leftover eatings of the wasteful soft-skins in this massive city they called home. Dra’zaak, despite the food offered during the celebrations, had always preferred the food he caught and prepared himself. So, despite attracting glares and disgusted looks from the weak-stomached soft-skins, Dra’zaak kept himself occupied by gutting the first course of his meal; a nice, fat, juicy rat.
His mouth already watered in anticipation, he only had to find someplace to cook it, since he couldn’t start a fire upon his current location, being on top of a roofed-wagon whose owner had yet to notice him. He couldn’t just leave his prime spot, however, in case Terendelev appeared. Though the dragon was rumored to be quite large, which wasn’t surprising considering her age, Dra’zaak didn’t want to risk missing her because of the soft-skinned tall-folk’s plump asses being in his way.
So, despite preferring a nice roasted (or better yet, pickled) rat, Dra’zaak settled for the next best thing, and gulped down the gutted rat raw and bloody.

It will be, yeah. Won't be editable (since I'm a perfectionist and don't like people messing up my work, hah), but I do plan on it being viewable. Mackenzie can even put it in the campaign info for ease of access, if she wants.

Gear is done! Posting in the gameplay thread shortly.
Also guys, on another note: For the other campaigns I'm in (There are but currently two), I use a loot tracker to keep track of everything the group has found so far. Do you want me to make one for this group as well?
In addition, if so, how do we want to handle distributing loot? In my other campaign we tally up all of the loot's sell value (Generally half the actual value, except art/gems/etc), divide by the number of players that are in the group, and then thats how much everyone gets. For those seeking to claim objects from the loot, they then deduct the sell-value of that item from their share of the loot and claim the object as their own. Healing items (And in the case of our Iron Gods campaign, batteries/high-tech ammo) are not included in what loot we sell, and are distributed freely with an understanding that they are used for the group's overall well-being.
Do you guys want to do that? It keeps things organized (and thus moving along nicely) as well as fair, so not one person gets more loot than anyone else.
Thirdly, I also have another tracker that allows the group to keep track of said healing/utility items; This tracker shows who's carrying them (and, say, group-funded items that belongs to everyone), and I intend on eventually updating it to also track everyone's gear and encumbrance, though that might not be required for this group, unless Mackenzie intends on us being careful with out encumbrance (Which I am, just to make sure).
I can keep track of both of these trackers and keep them updated for the party, if we want to use 'em.

Well, Silver dragons are the ones you'd think about the most when fighting demons, considering they're the paladins of the metallics. Golds, meanwhile, are just.. well, Gold, and thus the most respected of all the metallics.
With Brass Dragons being the most whimsical and talkative, Bronze being the most guardian-like, and Coppers being the most freedom loving (and also the ones with the shortest attention span), only the Bronzes might be understandable to see near the Worldwound.
But Silver dragons? They're the best ones for this kind of region.
But we're kobolds, so we don't necessarily have to fit the same theme as our more-awesome cousins. XD
Also Mackenzie, sent you a message, got an answer for it? :D

Dra'zaak was raised by adventurers and is thoroughly good-aligned, though due to his mixed religious upbringing, doesn't favor law vs chaos. His primary religious figure is Apsu, but he has strong faith in both Erastil and Desna as well.
I didn't really go in depth into how he was raised, but I do plan on adding more to my background later on.
