Hello Everyone,

Wanted to ask how this actually works. Gunslinger / Slow Weapons.

New Weapon type in the Iron Gods / Technology Guides ::
Slow-Firing: A slow-firing weapon requires a full-round action to use, and thus cannot be used to make iterative attacks.

- - - -

How does this work with Attacks of Opportunity? Point Blank Master Snap Shot, Combat Patrol, etc.

Also how do other feats work with this? Does it mean they cannot make attacks of opportunity or any other attack actions? Does this also mean that using it with "Pistol Whip" won't work either?

Just want to know, as I have one view on it, but that's because Slow Firing should have been more than two sentences long in my opinion.

Greetings All,

I've come to ask if anyone knows the spell Share Skin. It is a Druid / Witch 6th level spell that allows you to Magic Jar an Animal without a receptacle or leaving a body behind. The 8th level spell does the same with any "Creature" instead.

The Exact wording of the spell seems to be, "You can possess an animal's body in a manner that functions like magic jar, except as noted here. Your body vanishes while the effect lasts and you don't require a receptacle."

So the Questions are the following ::

(A) :-: What happens to the Life Force of the Animal you Inhabit?
There are two different interpretations that I've seen, One, As the spells name you Share the Host body with the Life Force. Or, Two, The Life Force Floats around the Host. (Which shouldn't be possible, as Share Skin functions like Magic Jar, Life Force without a host dies)

(B) :-: If the Life Force is Shared in the Host, what happens when Multiple Casters use Share Skin on a Single Animal?
The Two Interpretations are, One, As Magic Jar the Life Force is forced out into a receptacle (But there isn't a receptacle...)Or, Two, If the Life Force is not forced to leave the host, then this should allow multiple casters to share a host, with the Last Caster being the "Driver" of a ridiculous clown-animal.

(C) :-: If the Life Force is Forced Out without a Receptacle, does this make Share Skin (Also a Druid spell mind you) a Save or Die spell. As Magic Jar states "If the host body is slain, you return to the magic jar, if within range, and the life force of the host departs (it is dead). If the host body is slain beyond the range of the spell, both you and the host die. Any life force with nowhere to go is treated as slain."

(D) :-: With the Wording of that, does this mean that when the Host body Dies, that you get spat out and your body materializes next to the Host Corpse?

There are probably more Questions, but I find that the Paizo Forums hosts some of the best minds and min/maxers that I know. So have at you, Ladies and Gentlemen. Please pick this apart and let's see what happens and if this spell requires a very big errata or not.

Note - This spell Question came about due to the Idea of the Clown-Witch Encounter idea I had. Where an Aristocrat states that killing him would be a bad idea, once dead, his body spits forth dozens of witches capable of casting Greater Share Skin. I.e. the name Clown-Witch (See what I did there? hehe)

The Spell is Share Skin from the Pathfinder Player Companion: Blood of the Moon.

Good Luck.

Yes, I know this is an Old question, done to death and I know there are other threads. But in the interest of not resurrecting them, I created this.

HOWEVER - I want an Official answer, not to be a Munchkin, not to be full of cheese. I just want to know how this actually works.

I do not want spam or opinions, I want cold hard facts.

By RULES AS WRITTEN does this actually work or not.

Lastly where is the ERRATA to fix this? People Cite Developer notices, and other facts, but they never link them. So they do not exist until publicly made available. Not hidden away on the depths of the abyss known as the Internet.

So the statements go as follows.

#1 : I DO NOT WANT SPAM / OPINIONS, just FACTS.
#2 : If it's not RAW or DEVELOPER / PAIZO - It does not exist.
#3 : FACTS are not links to other "dead" threads. They are reference materials from RAW / PAIZO.

Heighten Spell - METAMAGIC FEAT
Magic Lineage - TRAIT

- - -

General Idea ::
Heightened 1st level spell to 2nd level spell. I.e. Magic Missile as a 2nd level spell.
Magical Lineage decreases the Metamagic level increase of Heighten Spell.
Magic Missile, 2nd level spell cast from a 1st level spell slot.

- - -

Now, someone explain with RAW, if this is how it works.
If so, can Heighten Spell allow you to cast spells of a level, where you do not have slots?
Yes, I know there was an FaQ about being able to cast spells of that slot, however does Heighten / Magical Lineage use a lower slot or not, if so, how does not having a level 2 slot work?

If this is not how it works, and it works as the following

- - -

Translated into Laymen :
Heighten Spell is a Feat Tax, that allows you to use lower level spells in higher level slots, to allow you to have higher save DCs and Penetration.

- - -

If this is so, why did they not just errata Heighten Spell? As this reading of Heighten Spell, it doesn't require Spell Increase and thereby eliminating the Magical Lineage / Heighten spell conundrum. Does anyone have a RAW or PAIZO answer to this? Without hearsay or opinions being thrown about.

This question will probably not be answered, due to the fact that no one seems to be able to think Objectively about the subject.
