I guess seasonal kits and what not would be cool, especially at conventions, but I'd just be happy with a way to register PACG events/characters on the Paizo website.
That way I could post an event for a local store, have people show up, run through an AP, mark off on character sheets the character loot, advances and what AP's they ran that day, etc.
There'd be some issues to resolve(not enough of some cards), but I really think the format would work better for PACG than it currently does for the rpg. The table sizes are a lot more flexible in PACG, no DMs are required, there's less character power variance(new characters can still play in later APs up to a point) and it's a lot more newbie friendly for people who don't know Pathfinder.
This is very cool. I'm glad they're switching to a monthly cycle and I'm really happy that characters from one set can be used in another. That should add a lot to the replay-ability of older sets. I'd love to run the witch and alchemist through RotRL.
Now I only wish there was something like PFS for PACG to help organize pickup games at stores.

I've written an app that takes Hero Lab save files and converts them into tokens for Maptool. The tokens have on them a rich set of macros like attack rolls, saving throw rolls, skill/ability rolls, feats, spells and so on which are taken out from the Hero Lab save files.
Here's a quick video going over the basics of the app.
The app is written in Python, but I have compiled binaries for Linux, Windows and Mac. You can download the app and see some more tutorial vids at the hl2mt project page.
If anyone has any questions or feature requests, please let me know.

I think it's worth pointing out to new subscribers (as many of the card-only subscribers are) that receiving the product before street date is not one of the intended benefits. Then they can make whatever choice is best for them as to where to source the product from going forward.
It's one thing not to get the product before the street date, but it's another thing to be getting it 1-2 weeks after you could've walked into a store and picked it up.
If people pre-ordered a popular video game and it shipped to them 2 weeks later than everyone else got it, it'd be a pretty major snafu.
Hopefully they're just having distribution issues and will get this all worked out before AP3.

I'm sure I'll find something. I've just been itching for something to do since I got my new job here in FL. I have 0 free time during the week.
Well, if I can make a suggestion, try out Pathfinder Society. Florida has a really well organized PFS with it's own website at http://floridapfs.org/
I think you're near Tampa? Looks like there's events running not too far from there: http://paizo.com/events/v5748mkg0aia1
The nice thing about Pathfinder Society is you can just show up and play. The people running it will have pregen characters already made up and can teach you the game as everyone goes along. I'm on the east side of Florida but I've been a part of several games up in Melbourne that's had half the table as new players.
I think PFS is really a great way to experience Pathfinder and get an introduction to roleplaying. Plus if you're busy it's a type of gaming that you can fit your schedule a little more easily than weekly group gaming.
"I like fan created material, but more specifically I like the concept of fan created material."
I feel pretty much like this. I pretty much consume publisher made content, but I like knowing that there's a good base of fan/3rd party material out there too. Because that way if I run out of publisher content or it doesn't scratch an itch I have, there's always the fan content or I can always just make it myself.

Rather than blanks, I'd prefer to see core pack releases. For example Bestiary 1, Advanced Players Guide classes, Inner Sea World locations, Ultimate Equipment, Ultimate Magic, etc.
And rather than ranking the monsters/cards off of AP1, 2, etc they could mark them with CR1, 2, etc(CR = Core Rules) to give you an idea of the card power levels.
This would allow people to create their own adventures by mixing and matching things from the stock core game. Paizo could also release conversions of popular modules pulling in cards from the various core sets.
If the card game remained popular I could almost imagine Pathfinder splitting out into a sort of dual release thing. Companions, Chronicles, Modules, etc all coming out with card packs along with their usual rpg component. The artwork is recyclable and the marketing could pretty easily point to both product lines.
I also love Herolab and probably wouldn't be playing Pathfinder without it. As for a Linux version it runs under Wine very well except for 1 bug I've found if you add too many gear items to the character.
I really wish they'd at least support wine officially. The product is basically 98% there for it.

The only thing it looks like he has left to do is add in spell tracking and that should be the focus of the next release.

The biggest issue with this idea is you're trying to control your customer base and that's just not very effective. Your customers control you and you react in an agile manner to that.
A good example of this is Google Plus. The exclusivity of it killed it, same with Google Wave. Rather than allow the customers decide the flow of approach to the product they attempted to control it and really killed what should've been a natural growth cycle.
You cannot control your customer uptake. To try to design around the idea that "We'll have a growth of X per month" is a business plan that completely eliminates many potentials in how your customers may want to interact with you.
Do you really want to limit how your customers can interact with you?
There are many ways to handle sudden growth. I projected out a replacement for Google Pageranks and our server infrastructure(that could scale up to 200k database writes per second in a few hours if needed) only cost us $1k a month.
There are business solutions out there that'll let you scale up or down on demand for server capacity, call center capacity, and so on pretty easily. You can even create your system to self support itself if you're inventive enough in the design process and are willing to compromise on your vision of "What I want to create" a little here and there.
Concerned that you want to make a sandbox but won't be able to create enough theme park elements if your playerbase grows too fast? Then create the sandbox and give your players the ability to make sand castles. Then the growth will feed itself.

The release page gives instructions on how to upgrade from a previous version.
If anyone is interested in virtual table tops, uses Hero Lab and hasn't tried Maptool yet, I'd highly recommend this converter.
It's very easy to use, leverages Hero Lab for creating your character and lets you quickly import that into a framework that isn't overly complicated.

I'm actually interested in this system as well, but I'm curious if you have any experience with Fantasy Ground II. I looked at the website, and saw that it is something of an investment, so I'd like to know if it's worth the money before I dive in.
I'm playing an alternating Sundays Pathfinder game where the GM is running Crypt of the Everflame.
FG works very well. It has a solid Pathfinder framework and does a good job handling "drag and drop" play style. I can drag my bow attack on the enemy and it'll tell me if I hit or not. Can do the same with damage, healing, spell effects, etc. Dice rolls can be public or hidden. So if the GM calls for perception checks I can roll it so only he sees the results.
I bought Herolab to work with it as they just added the ability to export from Herolab into FG.
Maptool is probably the better "battlemap", but FG is the better "table top". My only complaint is that Paizo isn't selling official modules and supplements in their store.
You might be able to find a GM with an ultimate license. If they have that you don't need to buy the client. That said, the lite client(player only) is just $24.

Uncle Fred wrote: Title sums it up. Been looking around, both on this site and elsewhere for an non Play by Post online campaign so as to be able to game during the week from the comfort of my own house. I haven't been all that successful in finding anything though. Any suggestions? There best place is to start at the tool being used and then look in the forums for that. The top 3 tools I know of: do20pro, maptools and Fantasy Grounds 2.
For maptools: http://forums.rptools.net/viewforum.php?f=23
Fantasy Grounds: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=40
And there's a Pathfinder Society for Fantasy Grounds that just recently started up and is very very active: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/fg2pfs/
I'd recommend joining the last group and watching the videos they've created. They have games running pretty much every weekend.

Elorebaen wrote: I think it would be more useful if Paizo were to offer generic VTT art packs. Additionally, until d20Pro can offer something like LMs Pathfinder macro framework in Maptool,I don't think they should get "official" support. At this stage, offering generic VTT support is a good thing, though. +1
Fantasy Grounds is another solid VTT with a good Pathfinder framework and a store to download modules.
I think it'd be interesting for Paizo to offer generic VTT support and then allow each of the VTT products to bring that into their system. FG could mod the base VTT and put it into their store, same with d20pro and for Maptools I'm sure someone would put up a converter to bring the base AP/Module into a Maptool's framework.

Um, wow. That's a kick ass conversion. Extremely high quality. Very well done.

I'm interested in DMing, but there isn't anyone near where I live, as all of my friends all have 2-4 game sessions each and can<t play mine. As mentioned earlier, there's also Virtual Table Tops. Outside of the ones already mentioned, there's d20pro which is pretty popular and I use Fantasy Grounds.
For Fantasy Grounds there's an online Pathfinder Society that runs games for it. They have a Yahoo group at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/fg2pfs/
They have a few video tutorials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiuqNB452Oo
