I can use it. Not quite as good with it as I am with my pistol though. If anyone doesn't have a weapon it should probably go to them. We have a couple more men in another location waiting for us. Looking at the stairs he says Whomever has the shotgun should go first, I will follow immediately behind covering them.

Hence the reason why I said Mr. Harris and not Victor. In point of fact, my name is Victor. How about your names? As it is I have not had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Harris but a friend of mine told me he could be trusted. Victor keeps his gun on the two of them, hoping to get out of this without any holes in his hide.

Victor whispers Wait a moment...the record is repeating over and over. Don't you think if he would have removed the needle by now? Something may be wrong. Let me check it out first. Victor will pull himself through the opening as quietly as he can, pulling his gun out as soon as he is inside. Stealth 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Seeing the look on Charlie's face, Victor steels himself against the sight. Walking beside his companions he stops at the view and says simply The believers will pay for this atrocity. A look of determination with an undercurrent of immense fury, shows on his face as he looks around. Having seen piles of corpses in the war this pile of discarded and burned items is almost worse. Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Victor is silent a moment before saying I agree we cannot leave like this, it will only get worse. Leaving Mr. Harris alone here is something I cannot stomach either. These believers need to be stopped and I am not going to be able to live without finding out EXACTLY what those creatures are that we just ran from as I have no knowledge of them in science. I for one will be going to Mr. Harris and the believers will regret taking action against a former member of his majesty's royal army.

Victor used 4 rounds of ammo which leaves him three rounds in the current magazine. He has another full magazine with him with 7 rounds and a box of .45 ammo with 86 rounds left in it in his pack. I think that a connection is a foregone conclusion at this point. That would be a coincidence of massive proportions if there was no connection. The utmost question then becomes, what were those things? Knowledge check to maybe guess an origin in mythology?

Dr. Victor Alden, seeing his new friend in danger, snarls and spins towards the oncoming goat men. Take him I'll cover you! he says before squeezing off a round at the closest goat man, hoping to keep them from coming any closer. Shot at lead goat man, if within 30' add 1 to hit and damage. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 222d8 ⇒ (6, 7) = 13

Hey everyone. My internet access has taken a nosedive and may be sporadic for the next few days. Just fyi if my posting is intermittent. Thanks for understanding. Sanity Check 1d100 ⇒ 40 Whatever they are...if they bleed we can kill them...and if they are the ones that took that sweet woman...well then they deserve what I am going to give them. Victor has a focused, intense look to him. He calmly checks to make sure a round is chambered before taking a firing position behind the stone.

Victor moves over to the door and raps on it loudly a few times before yelling. Mr. Whately! Mr. Whately! We really must insist on speaking with you sir! If he gets no response Victor will turn around and say First and foremost we need to find your Aunt Reggie. We should break up into teams of two and search the house but stay within shouting distance should you need help. |
