Well, that is a relief. I've downloaded everything just in case, but this is an excellent resource, so I'm very glad to hear it will be kept up. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, now that's what I'm talkin' about. A searchable index with links to the download maps and handouts would be great. Much better than a printed list that is outdated a month later. I'm constantly searching through old dungeon mags looking for a transitional adventure, a side-trek, or a cool location to rip off for a special encounter. An index like this would be invaluable.
Please add one to the site!
thanks,
jk

Just to clarify what you are saying...your belief is that the game designers are not doing their jobs in filtering creature stat blocks across different published suppliments with regard to the CR system...is that correct?

As ever,

It sure sounds like you are goading TS into saying something he isn't. What is your agenda?

To answer the actual thread question:
I DM strictly by the rules (as far as my players know), but run things a lot more losely behind the screen. Honestly, the game is enormous, and there are going to be issues of imbalance all the time. You, the DM, are responsible for keeping balance regardless of the reason it might be out of whack. Chance alone can make a scuffle with kobolds turn into a TPK. Use the CRs as they were intended, as a guide, and always be ready to shift the balance of power to keep things running smoothly. After all, it's a game, and should be fun, even for you.

my 2 cents.

In general, I'd say you guys are doing a fantastic job! I love the resources you provide here as suplements to the game. Props for making maps without keys on them for handouts. Keep up the good work.

I have one request though. Please put up more of your fantastic artwork for desktops. No need to limit yourself to the cover art either. I love almost all of your illustrations, so please post it. Thanks.

Much appreciated Cosmo!

BA Filmmaking, Cinematography Concentration from NCSA. It took me awhile because I was working in the industry before, during, and now after school. Everyone I play with has at least a BA, with a few Masters, and a couple of PhDs thrown in. Not that I use education as a selection criteria, it just has always worked out that way. Of course, when I started playing D&D, I only played with 3rd graders, so it may have more to do with my age. :)

I have yet to receive mine either. I've had them come a little late before (1-2 weeks tops) but this is a new record. With the next issue release looming, I am starting to worry it isn't going to arrive. What gives?
