Why is the final battle not in a launching rocket or spaceship?

Do PCs dream of electric sheep?

Virtual reality, dreams, nightmares and visions. In the endgame the PCs enter a virtual world of Unity's creation.

this is gold :D I think I'll use real-earth Mont Saint Michel as a mold for the virtual world Unity created, with several access points in silver mount giving access to different sectors of the virtual "town", and the final battle taking place of course in the cathedral on top of the mount...this last location being accessible only from the interface hub located inside the shuttle. Plugging into said hub activates the launch sequence automatically...:D

Thanks for the feedback! especially the heads up on book four, that's actually really good to hear! I was afraid I'd be heading in Chtulutech territory, glad to read that the designers are also in for some sprinkling of Mythos :D Had the first session, putting together a story inspired from a couple of Pett's modules and some older CoC adventures, and is turning out to work quite well...still trying to figure out when to spring the main plot of the AP, the characters are busy investigating Torch's gritty underbelly at the moment :)

I have been thinking of sprinkling this Adventure Path with elements from the Mythos - some elements like misterious things coming from other space and the bands of crazy cultist that venerate them overlap quite well I think. For instance:

- Unity, Hellion and the other Iron Gods are either possessed or uplifted vessels for some kind of Terrible and Malevolent Horror From Outer Space, rather than self-awakened AIs a-là Skynet

- The Kasatha in the habitat module lived on as eternal cultist of some kind of eldritch horror from outer space that has been somehow bound to the habitat module itself

- Meyanda and her troupe caused (maybe intentionally) this creature to escape when they started exploring the mountain

- some companions of Meyanda are at the moment in the town of Torch, doing rituals to keep said creature in check - I would use this as the "kick off" for the campaign, running a scenario like Carrion Hill (scaled down for 1st level characters) in which the characters have to hunt down the cultist of the Iron Gods hiding in Torch and ending up fighting a (weakened) horror from outer space, as an appetizer before Fires of Creation.

- The transfer of power to Scrapwall causes strange dreams and unexplicable bursts of disturbing artwork rather than headaches.

Could it make sense? or am I heading into genres overload territory, by mixing too many things? Is anybody else thinking about this crossover or am I the only one hearing the voices? :)
Also I haven't read the next episodes of the AP yet, am I writing myself into a corner?

Also I'd greatly appreciate suggestions on how to make it work, or comments on more things to change and tweak, or maybe even what kind of creatures from CoC could fit the setting and the story - haven't played Chtulhu in many many years and my memory is a bit rusty.

Thanks!
