Not gonna make the deadline so I'll drop out of consideration.


Are you allowing us the ability to craft any items with our starting funds? If so are there any limits, such as time or percentage of our money?


Are we going to be level 5 throughout or will we level up at some point?


Going to dot. Though I doubt I will have time by the 5th. We'll see.


I'm going to withdraw interest. Just not feeling PbP anymore.


Getting Catch-off Guard significantly adds to my damage potential at low levels since it's another option to apply sneak attack, later on it's meh. Losing throw anything isn't a big deal since I won't be throwing bombs, it is a bonus feat though so I'd like something to replace it even if it's not combat related, even if it's skill focus alchemy.


I should ask. Alchemists get throw anything for free, however that is not a feat you can take with Elephant. The rules are silent on whether alchemists get catch-off guard which throw anything is merged into.

Do alchemists get catch off guard as a bonus feat? That is the recommendation fixing monsters.


I think I have the good doctors adjusted, I still need to give her one more extract known and another language. Fluff is in the profile. I don’t usually plan out builds ahead of time but I know I will have feral mutagen at 2 and feats will generally support that. I don’t plan on multiclassing or prestige classing. Generally she will be a tank/dpr in combat while providing int based skills out.

With Doc's nostrils and stomach saved from further torment she followed behind Vex and the Dwarf as the group headed to the north. She tried to assess the rubble in front of them, perhaps it could be cleared safely.

Later when the group rejoined her she claimed a backpack and bedroll for herself, which she squirreled away the extra thieves tools, the mess kit, a flint and steel, and the bits and bobs used to make a healing tincture.

You need to decipher scrolls first, that is usually automatically accomplished by casting read magic, which no one currently has prepared. Otherwise you can decipher scrolls with spellcraft check, typically with a DC 20+spell level. I guess these scrolls are easier than normal?

Read magic is something I always have prepared if I'm able. But it is not an Alchemist extract.

Doc regards the strange fungus that is growing on the wall, "Well, that's the strangest thing I've seen today. I'm sure the magnitude of that statement is not lost on you."

She wanted to approach for a closer look but did not let her curiosity get the better of her. Still she studied it as well as she could from a safe distance. She asked York, "You say you've covered it. Have you done anything else? Perhaps prodded it with a 10ft pole? If so how did it react?"

She tried to plumb the depths of her shattered memory for anything that even remotely resembled the strange growth. She continued to ask questions, "Is it growing? Did it start out as a small blot and then grow to this size? Have you taken measurements? Of course you haven't, and I'm sure that samples haven't been harvested. Is it crying? Can you fetch me a bucket and that 10ft pole?"

Doc will attempt to use a pole or reach weapon to place a bucket in a position that it will collect a tear. Once she's done that she will use a longspear or tie a dagger to a pole to try and scrape some of the fungus from the wall. Once she has her samples she will try to determine what kind of substances they are.

With a sneer Doc regards the children and their paper dolls. She lets Slip talk to them, no need to offend their hosts. Her consternation at the children is interrupted but a audible stomach growl.

Once the others were done talking with the children's caretaker and satisfied that there was nothing for her here she moved to the next door over and tried the handle.

Whose getting the coat Blue or Angry?

Doc slipped on the other set of leather armor, the ill-fitted suit chafed but chafing was better than being sliced. It didn’t restrict her movements too much, only if she needed to do some exceptionally detailed work would it get in the way. And if she had time for that she could just as easily take it off. She grabbed a second dagger and clutched the garden trowel she hated for some reason, but didn’t dare part with.

Earlier she had found a mushroom growing in the corner of the chapel, where a bit of broken tile left room for it. She ate it, after determining it was safe and had a mile psychotropic effect.

At the door she made sure it was safe to open, and then listened through it.

I need to sleep to recover spell slots so I will do that.

Doc finds a corner with her back to the wall and sleeps sitting up. Her sleep is light but still restful.

She wakes up early and alert, apparently early morning grogginess doesn't suit her. After studying her formulae book she accepts the meal offered by Winter. Her base self thinks, plenty of meat to go around. Best to eat it before it rots.

She shows the tiny bit of gristle floating in her soup to Chatty, "Think its your rat friend?"

Doc peered through the window behind Chatty, she didn't understand what was happening. This was a feeling she was uncomfortable with. She didn't even have a theory. She stumbled back with genuine fear on her face and managed to mutter, "We cannot leave."

For the next couple of hours Doc escaped into her work. She paged through her formula book, not really reading it, her mind was set on the xanthic fog outside and the horrid shapes that it contained.
