Does anyone have contact with our GM outside Paizo forums? It was stated in another game that he got banned.
Dorla notices the changes to the vehicle and keeps up the bombing.
atk: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
dmg: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 1, 3) + 7 = 19
8 bombs used
Dorla adjusts her position up and a little away from her companions, if she can do so safely. Then she throws a bomb at the vehicle. (If she can throw _into_ the vehicle, she does that instead.)
attk: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
dmg: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 4, 2) + 7 = 23
using precise bomb discovery if needed to protect companions from splash damage.
7 bombs used today.
Can you tell me anything about the height the vehicle is floating at, and how tall it is? Dorla is flying right now, and may want to adjust her flying height.
Dorla drinks one more healing potion.
CSW: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 2, 1) + 5 = 10
I should be back to posting as normal now. Thanks for your patience and understanding, everyone.
The family death that we have been expecting since October has just happened. I'm trying to keep up with my games, but I'm not sure how well I'm going to be able to for the next few days. Please bot Dorla as needed in combat if I take too long to post.
Chirrup starts singing a funny little song about the great heroes and the bad, bad bugs. Somehow, he makes it sound as if Dorla did most of the work, but everyone knows that's just how Chirrup is.
Chirrup also helps Dorla to quickly drink her potions.
I'm assuming that with Chirrup's actions, Dorla can get in one more cure potion before whatever happens next, so I'm going to go ahead and roll another cure potion. I'm also assuming that Dorla's fly isn't close to wearing out.
CSW: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 4, 4) + 5 = 14
Dorla digs out a potion of cure serious wounds from her pack and drinks it.
cure: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 4, 7) + 5 = 23
NLD now updated, as is inventory.
If there is time for more, Dorla sees if her companions need any potions, and if there is still time, she would probably drink more. She still has a lot of non-lethal damage.
Dorla lobs another bomb.
attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
damage: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 4, 6) + 7 = 29
Dorla also heals herself. +5 HP, or in this case, -5 non-lethal
Dorla throws another bomb. She wishes she could take time to help Olsson, but that will have to wait until the enemies are dealt with.
attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Dorla is frustrated that her bombs seem to do so little, but she can't think of anything better to do, so she tosses another.
attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
damage: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 5, 6) + 7 = 32
I thought this was non-lethal damage? 25 on Jan 17, 28 on Jan 25, 30 today, so total non-lethal damage of 83, but 5 was healed, leaving 78 non-lethal damage. Because 78<93 (Dorla's HP), none of the damage is lethal, right? So still at full HP. Or am I misunderstanding how non-lethal damage works?
Dorla shakes her head in frustration at the strange creatures. Then she throws another bomb.
attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Fort saves: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27,1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Dorla lets her body heal itself of damage free action to use spontaneous healing, +5 hp, then throws a bomb at the creatures.
attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Sorry guys, my real life emergency from October appears it's about to require my attention again. I may suddenly disappear for about a week. Please bot Dorla as needed to keep things moving.
Dorla lifts off the ground and readies a bomb attack if they attack her or any of her allies.
Chirrup lifts up a few inches off Dorla's shoulder to show that he's a separate thing. He looks at the strange beings and emits strange little clicking sounds. This is not supposed to be any language; it's just that Chirrup is trying to show off the ways he's different from humanoids so he maybe can connect to these creatures.
Dorla glances at the others. Assuming that they don't gesture in any meaningful way, she walks closer to the nearest creature. She stops about 10 ft away and observes it. She hopes that her companions are staying close.
Dorla takes 1 minute to mix an extra fly infusion. Then she hands fly out to the others (except Chirrup and Splinter). (also updating currently carried extracts and slots remaining)
Once the others are ready, she leads the way up. She stays close to the stairs to avoid disaster if something goes wrong.
At first Dorla waits to see what the thing does. After Olsson makes his suggestion, Dorla flies up closer to investigate. She brings Chirrup with her, and asks Olsson to send Splinter up with them. I have enough fly liquids that I can share with one other PC if someone wants to come up also, but if I give them to the whole party, I'll need to rest before we explore much further. Let me know what you guys think.
Sorry, I thought I'd said that Dorla drank her extract as preparation and then was watching and waiting for the thing to descend.
Dorla's morning crafting is 3 fly (level 3), 1 trapfinder's focus, and 1 enlarge person. This leaves 2 level 3 slots, 5 level 2 slots, and 6 level 1 slots per day. This may be assumed to be made every morning unless I say otherwise.
I will also put this into her character sheet. I have included a place in her character sheet to list what she currently has, and will update that every time she makes or uses something so I don't lose track again.
Dorla drinks her extract so as to be ready for whatever is coming.
It's been a while since we've done much, and for some reason my character sheet doesn't show this extract as already prepared. However, I consider a few fly extracts as something that I just make at the beginning of every day. If this is a problem, I'll just have to use a potion instead.
Dorla digs out an extract of fly and holds it in her hand, ready in case the thing was dangerous.
Chirrup flies over to Dorla's shoulder. He's obviously curious, buy obeying instructions to stay close in case something might be dangerous. Dorla welcomes Chirrup, and then studies the metallic object.
perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
Chirrup's perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
Yep, remove blindness/deafness. If Charlotte drinks it, it restores her sight, no rolls needed.
"Is everyone OK?" Dorla asks as her eyes clear. Assuming Charlotte expresses her problem, Dorla asks Thetsu to keep an eye on things, and starts to mix an extract for Charlotte. If nothing happens to disturb her for 1 minute, Dorla hands Charlotte an extract to drink. "Here, this will help you see again."
There seems to be some debate whether swift alchemy applies to extracts. If so, the time would be 1/2 minute instead of a minute.
poke poke... anybody else around?
Dorla's save: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Chirrup's save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Also, just a reminder that Dorla had Chirrup go with Thetsu to a safer distance. Also, Chirrup has construct immunities.
I'm back. An elderly family member was diagnosed with cancer that cannot be treated, a few weeks to live. My posting may be a little spotty, and I may disappear again, but I'm here for now.
sorry guys, real life ongoing emergency. Please bot as needed; OK to use extracts and consumables if needed, just keep Chirrup safe.
Dorla starts by trying to shrink the fire in order to make sure she understands that part. Then she brings it back to the starting size. Then she sends Chirrup with Thetsu to back up from the fire as much as possible and pushes the other button carefully once.
Dorla explains her findings to the others and asks them how they think we should approach the situation.
Dorla carefully examines the buttons, seeing if she can figure out how any of it works.
Dorla shares her observations and knowledge with her companions. She also checks if Chirrup is feeling OK and working normally in such a strange atmosphere.
Dorla looks around, seeing what she notices, and using her knowledge about how things work.
perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35
knowledge, roll only: 1d20 ⇒ 10
not sure what to add, since I'm not sure which knowledge skill you would apply here
I was trying very hard to be good and not make a smart alec remark about a peon chamber, i.e. where you keep the peons, and then you go and make another remark along similar lines...
Dorla scolds Thetsu for not letting her look for traps first. Then she checks the staircase for traps.
Dorla rolls her eyes at Donovan's usual clueless behavior. Does he really think that introducing yourself is more important than seeing if someone requires urgent medical help??
Dorla shudders a bit at Charlotte's comment. I don't think he necessarily wants to eat people, in a physical sense. It felt more like he wanted to consume us... inside...
Internet is back, so I'm back.
"Are you alright?" Dorla asks the woman
Chirrup sings a little victory song about Dorla's bright bombs and her valiant friend Thetsu.
Sorry everyone, no internet but phone. May be a few more days until I can check in regularly.
Dorla sees that the woman is handling her own healing needs, so throws another bomb at one of the enemies from the air.
attack: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
damage: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 2, 2) + 7 = 15
pthhht, what a ridiculously low damage roll...
Dorla throws a bomb at one of the enemies from the air.
attack: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
damage: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 6, 6, 5, 4) + 7 = 29
Dorla hears Chirrup's report and hurries over to help the woman against the clay things. When she is close, she gulps down an extract of fly and lifts off.
I said in the original recruitment that I was allowing any Paizo, and could be convinced to allow Dreamscarred Press stuff.
If you can show me a character that looks interesting and meets the requirements, you're in, Scavion.
Anyone interested in joining an ongoing Mummy's Mask campaign? We lost our rogue, and also need a ranged fighter. Everyone just leveled up to 2, so it's still near the beginning.
Dorla whispers to Chirrup, who pokes his tiny head around the corner to see into the room. Then he has instructions to come back and tell Dorla what he saw.
Arrrgh, a recent FAQ just declared Chirrup illegal, because it says you can't take improved familiar with tumor familiar. Can we just pretend that this FAQ was never released? pleeeeeeease???
