I am not DMing WotC, but I would like to use Dignity’s Barb in my campaign.

How to turn Dignity’s Barb into a scaling item, as introduced in
Pathfinder Unchained?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Your skin can take any actions you could normally take in your own body (such as to fight or cast spells).

What happens to your spell slots if your skin casts spells? When your consciousness returns to your actual body, are your own spell slots consumed?

your unwillingness to actually tell us what you plan to do with this in any detail is concerning to me.

As I already explained, I don't want my players to capture the boss alive as it is too early for them to find out what is REALLY going on.

Something like this?

AURA OF LETHALITY

It's an excellent starting point, thanks a lot!

I am not looking for justification, I am looking for advice.

And since it seems such a spell does not exist, I need help to create such a spell (and that's why I opened the other thread).

I am the DM and I don't want my players to capture the boss of the dungeon (long story).

And I suppose that such a spell would be evil, but it is not mandatory.

I need a spell that converts all non lethal damage inflicted to lethal damage. It could be an area spell or a spell which targets a single creature.

Will anyone please help?

Thanks anyway for your help and time.

I am looking for an area spell that converts any non lethal damage to lethal damage instead.

Is there such a spell? 3PP or 3.5 will be fine, too.

Please advice.

Can I apply poison to arrows or bolts during downtime, so I do not have to waste standard actions to do it during combat?

I honestly have no idea how to buy Cargo, and how to calculate Cargo Value and Cargo Units.

Any help is appreciated.

Amulet of Cold Resistance
This amulet looks like a shining shard of ice. The wearer of this amulet gains cold resistance 10. Once the amulet has absorbed 100 points of cold damage, it loses its magic and becomes useless.

How to calculate the cost for such an item? Please help.

A prereq for weapon focus is proficiency with the selected weapon, you can't take weapon focus (whip) if you are not proficient

The second prereq is BAB +1. Yet the 1st level warpriest takes Weapon Focus (any other weapon) even if he has BAB 0.

Warpriests are not proficient with whips, and at 1st level they can't take the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat as it requires BAB +1. So a 1st level warpriest using a whip, a weapon with which he is not proficient, takes a –4 penalty on attack rolls with the whip.

Yet, at 1st level a warpriest receives Weapon Focus as a bonus feat, and he can choose any weapon, not just his deity’s favored weapon.

So, what happens if he chooses whip for Weapon Focus? Do the –4 penalty for not being proficient and +1 for Weapon Focus add, for a total of -3?

Also, whips deal nonlethal damage, and no damage at all to any creature with an armor bonus of +1 or higher. What if the warpriest designates a whip as his sacred weapon? The weapon damage should be based on his level and not the weapon type; but is it still nonlethal damage?

Apart from the Pathfinder Module "The Harrowing" and the Pathfinder Society Scenario "Portent's Peril", are there any other modules where the harrow deck (or a special deck of cards, for 3PP modules) is the main part of the adventure?

APs that use the harrow deck as a optional subsystem do not qualify.

The PCs never actually see it in the adventure.

I know. But I plan to adapt this scenario for my campaign, where my PCs are supposed to see it, instead.

In the Harrow Handbook (page 6) there is just a glimpse of The Yellow Prophet. Is there any way to get a full picture of this lost harrow card? It would be a great prep to run this scenario!

Does the module require to use the Spheres of Power magic system?

Very useful!

Nothing to be sorry about.

Sadly to use the "Precise Strike" deed, a swashbuckler cannot use a shield other than a buckler, and the Shield Cloak is treated as a light wooden shield.

As a move action, you can wrap a cape around your arm, and treat it as a buckler.

Can the cape be enchanted, to treat it as a buckler +1, for instance?

Actually, that's the first time I post this request...

And thanks for your help. Godless Healing is a very good suggestion!

Suggestions for a Necrotic Healer (White Necromancer archetype) build?

We will start at 3° level. Which would be the feats, spells and equipment to choose? Any help would be appreciated.

@Endzeitgeist: My fear was exactly what you mention (elk shows up 600' away, PCs see it, shoot once, elk runs away). So it seems my players will have to find another strategy, too! :-)

Thanks for your help and for your quick answer.

I'm a bit confused about "The Hunt".

Encounter Metrics says the encounter distance is 3d6 x 100', which means minimum 300' (page 38), and initiative should be rolled immediately and no surprise round happens (page 37), so I assume no chance for the PC to get closer to the elk using stealth.

But if the elk is 200' away from the PC, then it will have succeeded in escaping (page 37 again).

So the encounter is concluded even before it actually began...

What am I missing?

I think the Chokehold feat causes them to hold their breath or suffocate. That means no verbal components.

Thanks! It seems that's what I was looking for.

A pinned creature can still take verbal actions, he just cannot cast any spells that require a somatic or material component.

But the combat maneuver is not meant to grapple the spellcaster (so no –4 penalty to Dexterity and –2 penalty on all attack rolls, for instance), just to shut him up to avoid him to speak (so not only he can't cast, but he can't even call for help).

How can you do this following the Pathfinder rules?

To cast a spell, you must be able to speak (almost all spells has a verbal component).

Can I put my hand over the caster's mouth (would it work as a grapple attempt?) to shut him up so that he is not able to speak?

Wouldn't this easily shut down spellcasters?

I would require the PC to improve the craftsperson's disposition/discount to at least the second best level. Then I would have the PC spend about half the cost of adding the enhancement as a training fee.

Thanks for your help!

There are no rules for knowing how to add a particular enchantment with crafting.

There are also no rules to teach feats, magus arcana or inquisitions, yet this is what some of the sellers in this book do.

And since they are sellers, I assume they sell their knowledge. Sadly, no price is defined.

Some of the shops detailed in this book sells new weapon special abilities.

What if a PC asks one of the sellers to teach them how to use one of these weapon special abilities with their own item creation feat? Which would be the price?

I'm a bit confused about the Greater Status spell from the Pathfinder Chronicles - Campaign Setting.

According to its description, it is from the Community domain only (no other cleric can cast it!), but the Community domain as described in the Core Rulebook doesn't even mention it.

I am failing to understand if the Greater Status spell is an "official" Pathfinder spell or not. Any insight is much appreciated.

I have a question about the Peacemaker, the Gunslinger archetype presented on page 46.

Do the new deeds replace any other Gunslinger’s deed (like it happens with the other Gunslinger archetype), and if so which ones?

Paulicus wrote:
it protects against extreme temperatures, but it mentions Endure Elements.

That's exactly one of my points.

Endure Elements protects from hot environment up to 140° F, but according to the environmental rules the damage you get from Sirocco is from very extreme heat, with air temperature definitely over 140° F.

And I am the one GMing both of them, and I keep on claiming that harmful vapors and gases are, for instance, those from cloudkill and stinking cloud effects, as well as inhaled poisons (see Necklace of Adaptation).

Sirocco is just furnace-hot wind that deals fire damage. Even the list of highly toxic gases on Wipikedia does not mention hot wind among them! :-)

Thanks for the excellent suggestions.

I did not even think about implementing the Dance of the Burning Blades, which is definitely a must.

I had thought to have a feast with some stalls, including beverage and meals, but I have to admit that providing Burning Beer, cookies shaped like scimitars and meals with fiery spices is a great idea that will add the right flavor.

Maybe I will add few games for the PCs to occupy the time, and a puppet show detailing Sarenrae's defeat of Rovagug (my only other previous idea).

The release of hundreds of paper lanterns will close the celebration, I really like the symbolism you suggested.

I was quite afraid about the celebration, but now I'm sure my players, and the demanding cleric of Sarenrae, will love it.

Thanks again.

One of my PC is a cleric of Sarenrae. They are currently in Magnimar and the 10 Sarenith is approaching...

The cleric player is expecting great celebrations for the Burning Blades, the religious holiday held on 10 Sarenith in honour of the goddess of light.

Which roleplay activities I could prepare? How to involve the other PCs, too? Also, I'd like to (slowly...) introduce my PCs to the Dawn of the Scarlet Sun module (they already know there is a succubus in Magnimar).

Any suggestion is more than welcome.
