Alphonso, you again missed the wildcard dice. If your wildcard manages an 8, you can add another dice to the damage. So always throw the two dices.

Nick was checking for weapons and was taking a bow and a hunting rifle from the wall.
Shooting: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Well: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Looking for a reliable hunting rifle with a decent magazine and some ammunition.
Then he looks as the blookd soaked woman appears and redies his spade

Nick looks at the others and shrugs.
"At least chances are police will not come closer soon."
Lets get some shopping carts and start the shopping spree.

Looking at the door, Nick takes out his shovel and uses it as leverage.
Lockpick: 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d4 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (6) + (4) + (3) - 2 - 3 = 8
Looking at Brian he just shrugs. He then whistles the first few tunes from Status Quos most well known song.
"Seems it was not properly fastened!"

Nick looks around, just to be sure, looking for alternate exit doors.
"Yep. Let´s see what we can find."
He takes a deep breath and adds.
"Food. Weapons & Ammunition. Tools. Camping equipment. Medical supplies. Gas cans. Maybe a second vehicle. Anyone else have any ideas?"

Sighing he replies. "I have just seen newbies spray and pray in their first real battle. And were soon out of ammunition. But .. you know better than me where to find them!"
Nick ponders for a moment and replies.
"How about a Hardware store? At home they have all you might need! Apart from firearms.. though. But it might be different here!"
Looking at the others... he adds. "Maybe someone can use online for the next one!"

Nick just nods and moves back again. "You might want to conserv ammunition! If we have soo many affected, we might need them."

For example on thursday in my 7 worlds round, one of our crew was badly wounded and received 6 wounds. He used a benny to soak a wound and got 5 raises or something like that. (SOAK)
Another was shot but not wounded, so he was just shaken. He botched his spirit roll, so he used a benny to fight again. (REMOVE THE SHAKEN CONDITION)
Lastely my teep tried to cast a spell on someone. I rolled 6. I used a benny and rolled an 11, granting me a raise. (REROLL)
Those are the three uses for bennies I know.

Nick looks at the minivan and at the others.
"I will not like what I see, I am sure!"
and he opens the door so that he is behind the door.

Nick delays after soccer mom has moved.

Nick shrugs."I have no idea where to go."
He then looks at Eloise."I think in this case supplies are not a bad idea. Do you really know when the logistic net will work again!"

Nick shrugs and adds.
"Usually the navi is for all more or less the same, so every "road" will be blocked soon."

You know, I usually hype me for posting by playing one round world war Z.

Nick ponders for a moment and adds.
"If we pass some stores that are still open we should stop and grab what we can. Maybe there is a caravan rental on the way and with loads of luck.. we might still rent one using a credit card! And if I had a wish list, I would love a construcion store or survival store. And some place to grab loads of water!"
As Brian explodes Nick continues.
"That would be very useful!"

Looking at the others Nick nods.
"And maybe get a camper. So that we can have... at least in the beginning a place to cook and a shower! And a decent bed for those that don´t drive!"

Nick looks carefully left and right and nods.
"I remember my mother used to work in the asylum homes when corona outbreak. The homes were utterly contaminated."

Looking at the others.. Nick goes pale.
"They want to blow the bridges? Then this is war... and the war is lost!!!
Trust me on this, I am german!
Let´s get away from the human mega populations. Somewhere with loads of free space. And maybe try to save this chaps daughter first. How far is it? Remember, I am a foreigner. And keep to the side roads!"

Titian looks at the sandbags and memories of times go by flash.
Looking for rank insignia he falls back to his soldiers tone.
"Insert correct rank, there is a mass of at least 20 rioting civilians. They are unarmed, but are not effected by surpression fire and extremly aggressive. Any advice beyond wearing breath protection?"

As Brian talks about shelters Nick nods.
"I have seen them ... in a bad place. If possible I would avoid them!"

I also have D4 in driving... but go for it.

Wiping his shovel clean on the dead ones uniform Nick nods at Brian. "I am sure I want to be somewhere else!"
Climbing in the car he puts his backpack on his knees and extracts the pistol he found.
"Can someone search the web for any news on this. I have seen headwounds, this guy should bleed like a pig, but he ain´t. His heart should at least have pumped for a few seconds more!"

Using his shovel as he was trained Nick attacks the attacker.
Attack: 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + (4) = 12
Explodin: 1d8 ⇒ 6
With a brutal swing Nicks shovel connects again.
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) = 11

A bit perplexed Nick repeats.
"Why is the guard moving. Too much blood. But still he moves."

Jumping back and raising his shovel once more, he points to the suddenly moving guard.
"Sacrakeilnochamoi, warum bewegst du dich!"

Nick shrugs from searching and replies. "Maybe some people are prostesting again and it got out of hand. But this is not my area, you know this a lot better than I do."

Carefully taking a pair of latex gloves from his backpack and checks the dead mans pockets.

Nick leans down at the person he just helped to kill. It had not been his intention, but the results were the same. Carefully, using the shovel as lever he turns him around and inspects the old wounds.
Medicine: 1d4 + 1d6 + 1d6 - 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (6) + (6) - 2 + (5) = 17

With a smack Nick smashes his shovel into the leg of the security guard.
Usually he would use a submission hold, but touch a bleeding person was a no go!

Shovel: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + (6) = 10
Exploding: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Exploding: 1d6 ⇒ 2=14 damage

Nick will, if it is his turn, draw his spade and bash the flat side of it against the attacker.

How many people could squeeze in?

Nick looks at the van points."It could be a child, or a dog. We should recsue it! Or will I be shot for breaking a car in this country?"
He asks in his thick german accent, really unsure for a moment.

Looking left and right Nick keeps his hand close to his backpack. The pistol he had "found" was burning in it, but... he felt safer with it.
"What do you see?" he asked the huge biker.

As Dennis moves toward the stairs going to the parking garage, Nick slowly follows.
"You have your car there?"

Dominicus looks around taking in possible avenues for snipers, and nods.
"Somewhere NOT here sounds good! Preferably some block of concrete between us and that noise!"
Seeing that Dennis does not look around, but Brian does he follows Dennis carefully.
"Looters bad here? We had some stockpilers, but fortunately no looters in quite some time."

Hearing the sound of an assault rifle being fired Nick quickly stood up, looking for a place take cover.
There had been to many mass shootings in the US and as a foreigner, it was something you heard too often.
Looking at the others he spoke up.
"We should find cover!"

I have met Sabaton and Man o War when I still worked at the airport. Also Disturbed.
And I tried to go to their last Rammstein concert. No chance.
But I prefer Primo Vcitoria with Hellgate London.

Nick shuckles.
"If you understand German... Rammstein.
But you need a morbid streak for it. And if you like a bit of controversy.
But Sabaton is also quite good!
Their classic Primo victoria is excellent for workout.
But trust me, if you play Sabaton, eyes are raised. But you can annoy the heck out of people with Du hast, or Mein Teil."
And his smile is only stopped by his ears.

But it is funny. And we discuss history :-) But of course!!
Listening to the biker and the gentleman discuss history, he can only smile.
"Actually yes, true lies is awesome. And Casablance is indeed a great movie. I mean the lightning, the innuendos. And knowing Bogart had to stand on a box for the kissing scenes.
But the beetles. Well they have for sure classics, but give me journey or foreigner any day. And if I am in the mood, Rammstein!"
While the newcommer was dressed like a biker, he was looking like a hiker. With high quality walking boots and ripresistant clothing.
His Backpack had the sleeping bag tied under it.

Nick just shrugs and replies.
"Gone with the wind, the hustler, Butch Cassidy and the sundance kid, those are classics. And there is some like it hot and the godfather. Those are classics. I have not eaven heard of that one."
He shrugs and smiles.
"But I can´t know all movies! Maybe it is that good."

Remebering the stories his parents and grandparents told him of his homeland divided Nick just shrugs.
"You think a second rate actor, with dalzheimer is better?"
He can´t resist the snarky comment, but smiles to pull the sting.

Dominicus nods.
"There was no chance to leave from there. Toronto Airport was in lockdown. I was quite happy to have the opportunity to take a train. Also our return flight is from Dulles. And as a student... you just can´t reschedule a flight!"
