Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

It is with regret and sadness that I'm going to step away from these boards for a while. It's a combination of many things, and the frustration with the board performance just pushed me to do what needed doing. I've got some things that are taking a higher priority in life at the moment. It's been a real pleasure gaming with you all, and hopefully life will give an opportunity to share this hobby we all love in the future...

"We need to find someway to get this stuff out of here, and take it to someone who can help us with the language. Maybe check out this chee-chen-zho-zool place".

After digesting Evelyn's terrible revelation, Dominic stiffens his spine and follows the Dr. to the patio, where excited speech has began.

Upon seeing the human remains he crosses himself, and with a shape intake of breath, says a prayer for whoever this used to be.

He looks around at Freddy's question, but doesn't make any quick moves to move into one of the coops to look... unless nobody else makes the move.

Dominic poking around calls Evelyn over to the orange stains he found.

"Can you identify what might cause these stains"?

Dominic has Evidence collection, forensics, and occult studies which he will use to look around the inside of the apartment as needed.

The priest, still a bit shaken by the activities of the group, finally seems to come to a conclusion, and begins to snoop around the interior of the apartment.

God works in mysterious ways... I guess the greater evil and all.

BTW Dominick is still interested in the game, I'm just feeling him out, and trying to figure out how/where he fits in with the group, and how to play him. He is pretty good at being a face when influence is needed, but not so keen on lying and bluffing... and shootouts are new to him... so if I'm not posting a lot, it's me feeling things out, not a lack of interest.

Dominic eyes the guns nervously. Seems to me that guns are what got us in trouble anyway... still it makes the others feel more...secure?

"I think we finish what we started first. On to Brooks?

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Dominic is a bit taken aback by the whole situation, and his head spins at what has happened so fast.

It is worse than I imagined. Anatoly must have had such a strong resolve. I won't let his memory down.

Suddenly the priest stands upright, and addresses the others. "Let us find rest for the evening and consider our next moves".

"Things seemed to get out of control rather quickly didn't they. I was entrusted with the keys to the house by it's owner, and went to retrieve something for him. He has his reasons to fear for his own safety, and obviously he was right in his caution. When we arrived to safely complete the task, we were assaulted by someone on the roof of the neighboring house. From then on things got a bit out of hand... and I'm not sure what happened".

"I can assure you that we only reacted to being attacked, and while a bit chaotic, our intentions were forthright".

Reassurance, or Bureaucracy Spend in the native tongue?

Dominic is in a state of shock at how things work in the real world. Though he knew that bad things happened in the real world, he had only experienced the cloistered halls of seminary, then the Vatican, and he could only rub his head, pray, and stare at the very real handcuff on his wrist. He looks over at Evelyn after a bit and dryly observes.

"Do you remember when I showed up in the hotel, and you asked me if I was prepared for what was before me... well... can I change my answer"?

Two week business trip. Should be able to post most days, but might be spotty. Camping on 22nd through 26th, so AFK then.

Dominic waits for the more experienced members of the group to review the area before entering.

1d6 ⇒ 2 Sense Trouble

"Looks clear to me. Should we go ahead and enter". The priest remarks digging the key from his pocket.

It appears that I am smack dab in the middle of the hunting grounds of an angry Air Elemental named Irma, so if communication stops for a while be aware that I'm probably hiding in a hole somewhere, but will pop my head back out when it's safe.

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

"Maybe a couple of us can take Cortez to father Dominguez for protection, then we could meet at Cortez's house... warily that is".

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

"Perhaps I can call on Father Dominguez for help once again. I'm sure he would know somewhere you can hole up until we take care of the threat here".

Then turning to Freddy "I think we try to find the matchbook first. Perhaps disguise ourselves as cleaners, or repairmen, as I'm sure his house is being observed".

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

"Calm down now my son. We're going to make sure that nothing happens to you. Two questions. One do you have an address we can find Brooks, or is he scheduled to record with you again? Secondly do you have a copy of the recording that we could listen to"?

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Dominic relates Amadeus's words in Spanish to whoever's behind the door, then adds. "Please open the door. We can't help you if you don't cooperate. I am a priest, and only want what is best".

If necessary, Father Dominic will spend a point of Reassurance.

Si!

Assuming that Freddy shares what was in the box with the others... :-)

"I agree. Let's at least check out the area... Maybe discreetely".

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Dominic just spent his empty language spot on Spanish... Might prove useful here.

Since it would seem suspicious for several people to come in pretending to lose a key to a lock box, Dominic will wait nearby... hopefully at an outside cafe, to see if Amadeus is successful, before resorting to plan b. As if we had a plan B

I agree. look in the box, and take what you need to share. No telling if we'll be able to pull this off again.

I would think a medium range "tourist" hotel would be best. We don't want to stand out yet. I'm sure the destruction of the other two maps haven't gone completely unnoticed.

After the group arrives, Father Dominic suggests that he should probably check in with the local parish, and set up communications with the Church in Vatican City. Let them know that he can be communicated with here, and maybe look for a helpful priest for clues about the location of the box. Wouldn't hurt to see if there are any rumors about the Mouth or the nectar her as well.

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Out of the country on business through Thursday, and Internet is spotty... so if I disappear for a few days don't fret. I'll be back.

Good with me

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Dominic is the second to arrive at the hanger. He had been in communication with Janet concerning what to do about Anatoly's horse, and had begged his way into helping avenge his death. He is obviously pale, with dark circles under his eyes from trying to read and research anything he could that might help. He has a canvas duffle at his feet, and a small leather shoulder bag. He had been sitting on an empty fuel can at the entrance to a hanger door, reading the bible it it's conveniently provided sunlight, when Evelyn entered.

"Hello", the gaunt priest says summoning a smile, and rising to greet her, "I have been in touch with Janet, and she has agreed to let me join your group in ridding the earth of this menace. The final decision however lies with your group. If you'll have me I'd like to lend you my skills and strengths in your campaign... for Anatoly".

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Dominic has much to do to get his affairs in order. He takes a sabbatical from his work at the library in the Vatican, after attending services for Anatoly. Spends some time with Father Dudko, and has a meeting with Janet, imploring her to find a good home for Anatoly's horse.

Before leaving the Vatican library, he does some research on the mouths, Nectar, and any other information shared with him, to see if any additional information can be gleaned.

I didn't take any advances, because Dominic hasn't really done anything yet... :-)

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

A look of horror spreads across the stranger's face as Anatoly's demise is revealed. He seems for a moment to sway as though he's going to faint, then steels himself. Hi gaze hardens into one of resolve and it is apparent to all that he has filed away his grieving for now into a place to be dealt with at a later time.

"This is... disturbing news... I...I... I can't tell his uncle this via telegram. This terrible news should be delivered in person, by a caring individual. Please tell me everything".

With trembling hands Dominic follows the others to the room, and gets the whole story.

He listens often pausing the narrative to wipe away tears, and after the story is told addresses the others.

Anatoly's death should not be in vain. We should end this curse once and for all. I must fly back to the states to pass on word of Anatoly's death, but would help you to eradicate this threat if you would have me. You can leave word for me at Father Dudko's church, and I'll meet you wherever your next destination might be. Keep in mind that I have access to some of the writings of the Vatican. Perhaps I can call in a favor, and have some friends find out what they can from these archives".

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Dominic begins to feel panic set in, as the obviously ragged group, avoids his question.

"I'm not going anywhere with you till you tell me where Anatoly is! Is he in the hospital? Please...he is like a brother to me, you must tell me where he is... then we'll go to your room and talk, but first I must know where he is".

Male Human (Italian-American) Priest - Librarian; Stability 10/10, Health 10/10, Sanity 10/10

Dominic starts to wakefulness as the motley crew enters the hotel. He looks them over thinking that they seem the type that Anatoly would end up with... but no. He wasn't with them. He sat back down to quietly wait for his friend to appear.

Almost simultaneously the hotel clerk informs him that this is the group he has been waiting for, and he hears the young lady moan Anatoly's name.

He leaps to his feet. "You know Anatoly! I am here to find him. Is he hurt? Where is he"? The young man approaches the group wistfully wringing his hands. They notice his pale complexion, and hands obviously not used to hard work... then the steel in his eyes, and the collar about his neck.

I covered that in my wonderful history, that the boards ate. He'll probably be waiting in the hotel in Malta. He was in Vatican City, and got a telegram from Father Dudko, stating that he was worried about Anatoly's soul, concerned with his choice of friends, and hadn't heard from him for a few days.

He asked Dominic if he could check up on him, since he was fairly close by. Father Dudko contacted Janet, and she gave him the location of where they were, and he was finally able to track them down to the hotel... where he anxiously awaits his reunion with his old friend Anatoly.

Hmmm. That's weird. I used their online character generator and it said 16... but yeah. Languages is good.

I present Dominic Pizzaro.
