A well know weapon smith named Keldron Ironhide found himself exiled from the nation of Cheliax after refusing to adapt to the new laws set forth by the house of Thrune after they seized control of the region. Being brought up to respect the beliefs of Aroden, Keldron found himself lost when the god died leaving no hope that Cheliax would ever return to its old ways. Forced to live in exile he found refuge in the eastern part of the River Kingdoms where he fought day and night to provide food for himself and is wife Schandra. Out of desperation Keldron turned to the church of Gorum where he bartered with his skill in working steel in exchange for the church's protection and a steady supply of food. Shortly after being accepted by the church Schandra gave birth to twin boys named Justavion and Domarion. Over the course of thirty years Keldron embraced the teachings of Gorum elevating his crafting skill to a level that brought him respect within the church. Unfortunately the alchemicals needed to work some of the more exotic metals poisoned Keldron early on in his carrier. Before he died, at the early age of forty, Balden forged a set of twin masterwork cold-iron greatswords that he asked the church to pass down to his sons upon his death. Because Justavion and Domarion where both to young to properly use the swords the church decided to store the fine blades in a display case located at the front entrance of the building. Both boys where taken in by the church after their mother died a few years later do to a bad heart.
In time the boys grew strong both in body and spirit. Some of the church's most adept teachers instilled a sense of survival in the twins teaching them to fight for what was rightfully theirs. To take what was needed and to look down upon those to week to do anything about it. They also taught them a strong sense of respect for those who where beyond their ability. When they where old enough both boys where given their fathers final creation and assigned a permanent role within the church.
Justavion seem to embrace the political role of the church becoming a noteworthy legal enforcer which led him down the path to become an inquisitor.
Domarion on the other hand receded to the darker side of Gorum's teachings. He embraced the gods values at their core and interpreted Gorum's will as a right of might. When he wasn't studying or training Domarion would head to the dungeons where he watched and learned the art of torture and the weakness of men's resolve. In time Domarion became harsh and untrusting. He embraced his dominance over others and became desensitized to the cries around him. At the age of thirty Domarion became a recognized cleric of Gorum.
Two years after Domarion ascended to cleric the twins where brought before the grand council and assigned a quest. The council had decided they wanted to reach out to the nation of Cheliax and offer a mutually beneficial alliance. They instructed the twins to travel to Cheliax and make contact with one of their officials. After making contact Justavion was to make an official request to build a church within the nation of Cheliax.
After the two reached Cheliax and made contact with the their official he told them the only way he would consider their request would be if they themselves proved to be an alley to the nation of Cheliax. The official explained the current struggle for power they where undergoing in the region. He then explained that in order to gain his trust the two of them would have to join a society called the Pathfinders. Once they where accepted into the society they would have to represent Cheliax in the grand scheme of things and further Cheliax's foothold in the region.
After some consideration the twins joined Cheliax in their struggle and where then sent to Absalom to join the Pathfinders.
