The Skumm and Ratsby Show

Hey ya'll

Several hours later Congratulations boys, I think you may even be better at what you do than your brother. And he's supposed to be the best. Wipes the sweat from her brow and walks through the door, locking it behind her.

Let me just give you a little shot before we begin our session. We wouldn't want your "spirts" drooping before we're done here.

Hello boys.

Just doing my part

longer.

Hey, my game fell apart too. Maybe we should start another.

Hey!

Indeed.

"Hey, is it starting to snow," Dirdelle says as white flakes fall from the sky.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"Lets just hope his good mood doesn't get us killed," Dirdelle says

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

As long as he doesn't start into "Wind Beneath My Wings" we should be good.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"That would make a great necklace," Dirdelle says.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"Catch you on the other side," Dirdelle says in a flirty voice to Rhade.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"Do we really need everyone to take this guy to the temple," Dirdelle asks. "Maybe a couple of us should go talk to the sherrif as well."

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

Dirdelle offers the bottle to the others and then goes to help Baron lift the injured butcher off the ground.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"Well, I was going to save this for another time," Dirdelle said, "but it appears that now would be appropriate." Dirdelle pulls a larg crockery bottle from her belt, pulls the stop and takes a swig. Once she is done she holds it out, offering it to Ulven next.

"I thought it was more of a communal church so several faiths could practice their religious beliefs there?" Rhade asked keeping a straight face rather than face a glare from the priestess of Calistria.

"Well I've always been a bit of a free spirit," Dirdelle says. "Buildings are for people to worship in, the gods care more about deeds then words." Dirdelle is a cleric of Cayden Cailean, not Calistra.

"I could also use a cup of ale and a warm fire," Dirdelle says. "However, we must ge the butcher to the village priest before we go anywhere else."

"I have never been accused of being a lady before," Dirdelle stage whispers back to Ree.

"For future reference," Ree stage-whispers to Halungalom, "it is always a good idea to ask first before casting spells on someone else. That, and perhaps the lady did not care to have her wet clothing noticed by a male of any species ...?" Ree winks, lips quirking as she tries to suppress a smile.

I realize now that I read the statement wrong, and didn't realize that she also was wet.

Halungalom wispers back, "Why would she care if I dried him off?"

He glances back at Dirdelle, "OH!" his face turns beet red. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean anything bad! Really I didn't. Not that you're, bad looking... No.. far from it. I mean, " he covers his mouth with his hands as he silences himself.

Hanging his head in shame, he approaches Dirdelle and very quietly asks, "I'm sorry... Would you like me to dry you as well?"

"Please," she said. "I don't want to catch cold standing around out here." Then with a smiles she added, "I imaginge that being short has some advantages for your people. It must be much easier to remove your foot from your mouth."

"Oh my! You're soaking wet!" Halungalom rushes to Ulven. "Here, let me dry you off." Using Prestidigitation, the gnome dries his newfound comrade.

If looks could kill, the daggers that Dirdelle shoots at the Gnome from her glare would have skewered him and carved him into jerky.

"So what did you find," Dirdelle asks Ulven.

Dirdell points Rhade in the direction that Ulven went andfolows him into the darkness.

"I wonder what's keeping Ulven," Dirdelle says. "Maybe we should go check on him."

Actually that comment was made out of character.

Um.. I'm still above. Is anyone else still with me, or am i the only one left up here not in the sewer? As my character is small, just slightly above 3' tall, he will drown if he goes down there.

Baran is still on the surface, and I believe that Ree is as well.

Edit: ninjaed, but it confirms what I thought.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

Looking at Catalina, Dirdelle frowns. "So we have what appears to be a werewolf attack right above the sewer where someone has gone through a lot of trouble to place a convincing looking, but fraudulant pillar, seemingly dedicated to Lamashtu. Does this make any sense to you at all," she asks.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"The pictures depict a process for turning men into monsters," Dirdelle says. "The symbols are just gibberish. They were most likely drawn by someone who had seen magic symbols before, but had never actually made them themselves."

Dirdelle will look at the pillar and try and interput what it means. Spellcraft 1d20+4=13or Knowledge (arcana) 1d20=19, whichever is appropriate.

Dirdelle climbs down the rope and looks at Ulven. "What have you found," she asks.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"I'm guessing that our mystery attacker had some help if he climbed up the wall in the sewer to get here," Dirdelle says. Turning back to the butcher she smiles. "Who would want to see you hurt," she asks.

"Dirdelle, would you be able to provide a light spell on this arrow for me?"

"As you wish," she says and says a short prayer to Cayden Cailean. A few seconds later the arrow glows with a soft, warm light.

The moments pass quickly as each of you try to figure out more from the wounded butcher. With a comforting smile to Dirdelle, as her spell roots itself within his pschye, he says,

" I didn't need to see it to know it's a werewolf. I heard its snarl and felt its fangs. I loomed over me and drug me to the ground. I suppose I would be dead know had you not arrived to save me, my Angel. Besides, another has been attacked. A stanger to town was assalted two nights past. Sherif Hemlock has him held over at the garrison for the towns safty. Angel, tell me you'll not throw me behind bars. Tell me you can cure me of this aliment. The moon is full over our heads and I have not turned, so tell me I will be spared the evil curse."

A glance at the sky shows what apears to be a full moon shining over Sandpoint.

"I cannot promise you what I do not know. However, if we get you to the village priest, he may have magic that I do not," Dirdelle tells the man. Turning to Catalina she says in Elven, "he is neither crazy, nor making a pass. I placed an enchantment on him to make it easier for him to speak the truth to us."

"Let's face it, there are dozens of ways a determined person can give you the slip if they want to. And personally, I'm not too eager to plunge into the darkness when I don't have a clue what's waiting for me there. It'd be like just sticking your hand into a hollow tree without knowing whether there's a nest of vipers or owls' eggs in there, know what I mean?"
Etrac overheard Ree talking he says very loud "Owl egg omelets are worth taking on a nest of vipers"

"But again, a predator that is willing to attack a person in the middle of the town would not just wrestle a man to the ground and then run off. Unless one of you saw the beast and scared it off, two legged or four legged, we must assume that there is more to this story than meets the eye," Dirdelle says.

"Well, here now, neighbour," Ree says to the apparently angry Elf. "That's not the way to treat a wounded man, is it? Why don't we all settle down a smidgeon, and see whether the nice man's willing to talk somewhat more, alright?"

She does not actually touch Ulven, but very gently tugs on the collar of Chod's shirt, as if suggesting it might be a good idea to let go of it.

Turning back to the scene Dirdelle frowns. "I have also noted some inconsistancies in his story," she says to Ulven, "But there are better ways to get the information." Then looking at Chod she says, "I know you are holding something back, and it's burning you just like hold a hot ember. Just tell Dirdelle and it will go away."

Dirdelle is using her Charm Person ability as she says this.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

Dirdelle nods her head and then stands. Walking over to Rhade she frowns. "Have you ever heard of a beast or man that would attack a person and not finish them off when they are helpless?" she says whispering.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

As she attends to the man's wounds she trys to learn more about the attack. "Can you tell us which way your attacker went, and if there is anything that might identify him?"

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

"I can heal him," Dirdelle says. Whispering a prayer to Cayden Cailean she casts Cure Light Wounds. "However, I cannot do anything about lycanthropy so we should still take you to the priest to be cured of that." 1d8+1=6 hitpoint healed.

Dirdelle is finally ready to go. However, she ended up taking a detour and became something entirely different then my original idea. She is now a multiclassed cleric/rouge with Cayden Cailean as her patron.
