I like it because the elves are sinister, and have magic blades. Too bad the gnome died. They make great bartenders.

The orcs are scary, but a good PC fighter can take one down pretty well. The neck golem was fierce, too, but the sheriff beat him, in the end.

That lizardfolk doctor talks like she's wearing a mask, but she's interesting. And the catfolk oracle? She's awesome.

Next season, Defiance will struggle to stay independent. I'll watch. They'll be 6th level.

It's no Firefly, but nothing can compare to the greatest show of all time. It'll do until Firefly comes back.

She knows something. Either she's in cahoots with my would-be abductors, or wants to tell us what's going on. Either way, I agree. Let's go see her.

@ Thak: Someone spoke to me in the voice of a little girl. I'm not sure what magic that was, or if it was an incorporeal creature or what, but it was strange. There's something odd going on here, that's for sure.

Diggy goes to the library, curious as to the flora and fauna of the area we're going to.

I don't like getting pushed around, either. I'll take a hat, though, if no one else wants it. I'll be less noticeable if I look like a kid.

Do we charge in fast, or take our time and maybe catch them before they catch us? Maybe we should go fast to the town, then lounge a bit, and let them come to us. Use a little inquisitor juju. They must have spies or something in town. We'll spy the spies!

The gnome sometimes gets excited. He realizes that he sounded a little too sure of himself. These are all fairly experienced adventurers like himself, not tyros fresh out of training. He shouldn't presume they don't have better ideas.

Sorry. Sometimes I get excited...

He smiles, his face a caricature of what a human smile looks like, and looks over everyone at once, then bows deeply and humbly, tipping an invisible hat.

Diggy can't recall having cast so many spells in a day in quite some time. He only needs 2 hours to sleep, due to his ring, but he still needs to wait to ready his spells.

The gnome chuckles at the thought of a turret.

There's nothing to feel bad about, stout friend. We all did what we had to do. They never got close to me. You did the right thing. I'd say everyone did. That was a tricky pickle.

Don't mind if I do, says the gnome. He takes the bed next to Angrim's, tossing his gear on it and making himself at home.

Those lycans had me a bit nervous, there. Glad we got past them. As for pedestals, I wouldn't worry too much about that. They're just relieved to have their 7 peers, which begs the question, what happened to the last set? Did they retire, or did they leave less willingly?

I'm happy to help, but I do worry that we may find ourselves a bit overmatched, some time. We may not have a magic carriage next time around.

Diggy looks about as threatening as Puss in Boots, but he's not turning down a blessing from the gods, whatever form it takes. He's glad to be a member of this "family."

Being a chaotic sort, the details aren't all that important to him. Fighting evil sounds like just the thing to do, right now.

Dignis also enjoys Jade's graceful display, remembering her fluid movement in combat. He was right when he guessed she would be something to see in a fight. She was even fun to watch without a fight.

So, this group of 7 peers has more leeway than most orders in how it gets things done. Agents of not just our own gods, but all 7 at once. Interesting.

Dignis chats idly with the elephant, but only for a few seconds, then quickly returns to business.

I am sorry you lost your brother to such a fate, he says from the roof.

Dignis is thrilled. He climbs up to the roof, casts speak with animals and asks the elephant if it has a name.

Looks like fun, but I'm in a few games, already. There's no doubt you'll get plenty of gladiators, though. I'll let the newer players get a chance to play.

Upon hearing the words, the lycan closet to Faetos turned and bites Faeto's arm. The fascination enchantment broke and Faetos roared and grabbed the lycan by it's neck and lifted him in the air before breaking its neck and flinging the lycan against the boulder transforming back to it's human form.

Wouldn't the elephant get an AoO here?
