Thanks for the seminars (though my wife wants to know why I have corsets on the mind after being out of the house for a weekend... :) thanks for the awesome swag (way above generous ! ) and most of all thanks for just being willing to hang out, staff, guests and fans alike!

From the suggestions being thrown out in that panel I think I was the only person in that room who has ever worn a real corset before. I had to resist the urge to derail the conversation and explain how a corset actually works. :P

This was my first PaizoCon (or any dedicated gaming convention for that matter) and it was so far beyond what I was expecting it to be. I was completely in awe when I opened up the swag bag. I realized after my second panel I had been sitting next to Neil Spicer the entire time... which was equally as shocking to me, and by that point I had just painted my first miniature. . I sadly didn't get to roll dice with anyone because I was attending panels when not shopping, making a wish list, or grabbing the occasional bits of food but I still enjoyed every bit of the entire con.

The only thing that was sort of a pain was getting the registration badges. If it would be possible to open up registration for an hour or two the night before it would definitely kill that giant line Friday morning and people being late to their games.

All in all, fantastic convention! I cannot wait to come back next year.

If I wasn't flying... and too cheap to check in a bag I would have been planning to be in full out costume. But, I can't justify the cost this year. (This is what I get for all of my costumes being massive in one way or another.)

As for LEDs, have you tried Radio Shack? Or if there is some sort of dollar store in your area, ripping the LEDs out of something that lights up (like the foam light sabers) tends to work great.

Oooh! That sounds awesome. I was planning on finding a way up there with the boyfriend already so a group could definitely be a possibility.

There's an express bus (560) that runs from the airport to the transit hub about a quarter-mile from the hotel. It's a short walk if you're not looking to get gouged by the taxi drivers. Bus fare is $1.50, but the trip takes about an hour.
If you are travelling light that seems like a good option! Can you tell me operating hours and frequency range?

Here's the bus information:

Also, I came across this earlier. If you have a smart phone I highly recommend it:
OneBusAway.org
It's a pretty nifty little app that compiles all the public transport information real time.

Ooh! If there is still room, I'll be there with my +1!

Being beat in a contest by someone I know... because I don't live on facebook. (Though there's still a few days left, I doubt I can find enough people to push me into the lead)

Also, being talked into entering a "worlds hottest larper" contest. -.-;

I too am new to the whole gaming convention front. I've always been an anime con girl. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess there aren't any costume contests or hall costumers, but are there any competition sort of events?

Hopefully, no one begrudges me that. Especially to help out a lady gamer...which this hobby needs more of.

So do all of us lady gamers get priority? ;)

* this is a plot device
I'm not certain what that means.
Me either actually; it looks like a lot of items are being bashed for reasons which sound to me like praise.

What I normally see as plot devices are items that a GM will use for a campaign in order to further a plot or created specifically for their party's dynamics. They aren't things you'd really find in the rule book for general use.

Thank you in advance for any feedback. Since this was my first time I know I have leaps and bounds to improve. :)

Welkin’s Fury

Aura moderate transmutation; CL 9th
Slot —; Price 4500 gp; Weight 2 lbs.
Description
This fist sized smooth oval stone is shrouded in ever shifting hues of dark green, brown, gray and white. On command, if the stone is in contact with the ground, it produces one of four weather conditions filling a 20-foot-radius area centered on the stone. The effect lasts for five minutes. The stone must remain stationary or its effects are broken. Despite its size, the stone cannot be blown away by any of the resulting weather conditions.

d% Weather
01-24 Fog
25-59 Blizzard
60-89 Greater Duststorm
90-100 Tornado

When used indoors the weather manifests itself inside the area where activated. When activated outdoors there is a 10% chance of the weather uprooting the stone from its position, losing the stone as its anchor. If the weather condition is no longer anchored to the stone its duration expands to 1d8 hours and fills a 2-mile-radius area in 2 minutes. When not anchored, the magical storm also gains the movement of its respective natural type of weather. Welkin’s Fury is a one time use.

Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, control weather; Cost 2250 gp
