Often there is a singular dramatic event which spurs one on to a life of adventuring. A moment which strips you of family, or position, or wealth or honor, and drives you out to horizons new. Not so for Dentesila Kilthrin.
For Dentesila, it was instead the slow, monotonous repetition of the pasing years, in a safe, staid, steady elven village, with the prospect of many more years the same yet to come. Immature and impetuous by nature, Dentesila had yet to experience true loss or regret, and chafed at the sedentary existence of those around her.
One night she acted; stealing her uncle's sword and a purse of the family's savings, she fled. She hoped to skillfully evade the village's scouts; in truth they let her go, for with regret her family had seen long before she had that her urge to experience the wider world could not be denied.
In the months since Dentesila has roamed freely, living on her luck and her stolen sword, living life to the full. She feels guilt for the manner of her leaving, but revels in the sensations and experiences she has found since, and wants more...
