I am surprised people find the concept so hard to understand. If you have ever heard the statement to achieve something "at any cost" you are already potentially envisaging an Evil person. You can believe that good and decent things are worth protecting and preserving "at any cost", and thus be willing to do anything to achieve it. You are willing to do the awful things that protect those more naive, who don't realise that the world will destroy that which is good without a care.

Of course those who take this stance are going to have to tread carefully around the more decent members of the organisation or nation, and keep their choice of methods secret. But they still have a role to play.

Hi I was thinking of taking this for a PFS character...

You progress gain extra versatility.
Prerequisites: Int 13, human.
Benefit: When you gain a level in a favored class,
you gain both +1 hit point and +1 skill rank instead
of choosing either one or the other benefit or you can
choose an alternate class reward.

But after searching the boards it still seems murky as to what this actually does. It has been marked as FAQ in other threads but I didnt see an answer in the FAQ. Any offical word that I may have missed?

Can I choose 2 from A,B,C or is it either A+B or C by itself.

I confess that until you asked this question I read it as (A+B) or C. I can see why someone might read it as 2 out of A, B or C. It would have been clearer if the final clause had been presented as "Instead of that, you may gain one of the alternate class rewards." if they'd meant the former.

I know how I'd interpret it as GM but it would help to get clarity.

Or more accurately Shackled City without a trap spotter / trap disabler / lock picker. Can it be done? The party I am a member of is approaching the end of Chapter 2 and we've survived so far, but I begin to have doubts. We are a Warlock, Urban Ranger/Noble, Fighter, Cleric archer and Conjurer. Is death from traps an inevitability in your experience?
