![]() Character Traits Web Enhancement Character Traits - Web Enhancement is the first link. Additional Resources - Lists the ones that are valid for PFS play (for instance, adopted is not and rich parents are not. I have not looked over at the others.) -- david ![]()
![]() Yup, that is why I created a personal copy. I have been a home game DM for a very long time and have been thinking about getting into PFS, but the gazillion options always turned me off. Now with CORE only, I may change my mind and DM just that. Also, if you would like to make it official, open a Jira (jira.pcgen.org) and request it as a data freq and someone should work on it. We have a guy that does a lot of the PFS "thingies" (<- technical word here). -- david ![]()
![]() My understanding, which is always subject to being wrong, is that when the Web Enhancement - Character Traits came out, it was for 3.5, not PFRPG, so that is why it is listed under 3.5. I have cobbled up two files, one the "master" .pcc for CORE PFS, and one the traits .lst file for the web enhancement. Now, I will make them available with the following caveats: 1) You have to put it under your Custom data directory.
I put it on Dropbox, and will leave it there for a week or so: Zip File -- david ![]()
![]() For the brave (or is it foolhardy) two changes; 1) eliminate an error showing up in the console:
2) allows the selection of mythic tiers after tier 1:
If you do this, all warranty is invalidated, no refunds, ymmv. Make sure you use a plain text editor such as Notepad in windows. Always add tier 1 first, click ok, then double click tier level and add tier 2, click ok, double click tier level and add tier 3, etc. -- david ![]()
![]() Mythic levels are "bolt-ons" in that they do not depend on XP, but are just given out by the DM so they do not follow the "normal" process of giving levels. Load PCGen and the books that you want. Make sure you load the Mythic Adventures dataset from the advanced screen. Create your character. When you want to add Mythic Levels do the following: On the "Feats & Abilities" tab, "Mythic Abilities" subtab, select "Mythic Tier" on the right side. On the left click on "Mythic Tier" and then double click on Mythic Level. Add the 1.
All the above said, there is some kind of bug and I do not have time right now to figure it out. Post to the PCGen Yahoo group or open a Jira and the head data monkey might be able to take a detailed look at it. -- david ![]()
![]() Understand that the typo is on Paizo side. I was hoping that the HeroLab folks would be able to pick up the phone and say, "ok which one is correct?" to the Paizo folks. If not, I guess they picked the one that made most sense to them. And that is ok with me also. If I change PCGen(*) to match HeroLab, then either we both are correct in our interpretation or we are both wrong, but at least we are consistent with each other. -- david * Right now, PCGen removes *all* bonus feats, with a note to get with Paizo. My changing it will give back the 1st and 14th level bonus feat. ![]()

wraithstrike wrote: There is no bonus feat at level 12. I am assuming they meant to say it replaces the bonus feat at level 10. Thank you for the information. I was hoping that HeroLab, being an "official" product would have more access to the developers for these "typo" type issues. -- david ![]()
![]() Posting from my "PCGen Alias". I have received a PCGen bug report concerning the Monk Sensei archetype and while investigating it, have found a conundrum. The PRD Monk Table lists Monk bonus feats at 1, 2, 6, 10, 14, 18 level.
It is been FAQ requested, but not answered. Or at least I can not find an answer on the boards or in the FAQs. I was wondering how HeroLab handles this, ie. do they remove 10 or 14 or both or neither? -- david ![]()
![]() Posting from my "PCGen Alias". Yes, we are "behind" on books. Currently there are 31 NEWSOURCE open requests, of which 18 are from Paizo material (Link). Remember this is an all volunteer open source project. If you have a specific book / request, PM me and I will either open a Jira (request) or point you to the open one, and you can follow the status of it. -- david ![]()

![]() You will get a faster answer by going to the Yahoo Group, but if you want to state what you want exactly I will help you thru it. You will need to be able to create a .lst file using a text editor (Notepad, Metapad, or other) and learn a simple syntax. -- david ![]()
![]() The easiest way to do this (not the best) is to edit the following file: @\data\pathfinder\paizo\roleplaying_game\advanced_players_guide\apg_spells. lst and insert a line after line 628:
(tabs between the .MOD and CLASSES:) Two "problems" with doing it this way. Every witch will have access to this spell, but you can remove it via double left clicking on it in the known section, and also every time you update PCGen you will have to make this modification again. The correct / best way to create a home brew with the winter witch archetype in it or wait for the Inner Sea Magic to be done, or the Reign of Winter Players Guide to be finished. Jira's here:
Both of them have active data monkeys. -- david ![]()
![]() Inner Sea Magic is not in your loaded list. Please send me the .pcg file to Spoiler: and I will take a look at it.
papa_drb@yahoo.com -- david edit: Inner Sea Magic is not in the download for 6.2. It is still being worked on. How are you seeing the Winter Witch Archetype? I think you are really selecting the Winter Patron, and they are not the same thing. ![]()
![]() Which data sets to you have loaded? and I am assuming you are using PCGen 6.02.00 (either RC2 or Production). -- david edit: Do you mean winter patron?
![]()
![]() It is still in very early alpha and not distributed with the program. If you would like to code it yourself, head over to the PCGenLstFileHelp Yahoo group and someone will be able to help you code it up. Looks somewhat easy, -- david

Read the posts on the first page, starting with the initial post. The editor was removed, and will be put in at a later level as it was woefully out of date. Some of the other posts tell how to use a text editor, and about the homebrew sub-directory to create you own custom classes. Also, within the help structure are the lst file classes and I believe that one of them is for classes. Also you can ask on the Yahoo group. -- david ![]()

![]() *sigh* Just received a note on the PCGen Yahoo boards entitled: -----

Barely 24 hours after I allow 'no reporters' for Support Requests, we've had 3 instances of Spammer issues. I'm going to say this is unacceptable and not worth the tracker churn for the few users who *might* want to file a report without logging into the system. Which to date has been Zero Issues. I'm turning off the access, as it's just not worth it. If we have some sorta of CAPTCHA for submitting only to one project, then I could accept that but at this time I just don't think it's worth having our JIRA system loaded up with pure nonsensical garbage that spam bots or users seem to think they need to flood our systems with.
So if anyone has an issue, report it to me, either via PM or in this thread or the next one after the next version in released, and I will open the JIRA and keep up the communications. -- david

The editor has been removed for PCGen 6.00.0. It will be re-added in 6.1 or 6.2. The reason is that the last production release was a long time ago and we needed to get a production release out, especially with the new UI. And the editor is in *very* *very* sad shape. -- david ![]()
