![]() Wow, five pages of posts - sorry if I repeat anything here. You're an old-timer if you had to color in your dice with a crayon. I started with box sets (blue - wizard and fighter vs. dragon) in '78 or '79. Accidently bought AD&D Player's Handbook and evolved into an "advanced" player in '80 or'81. I still think the sample character "Morgan Le Fay", or whatever her name was, is pretty HAWT! It was all my frined Matt's fault. He introduced me to the game via his older brother on one sunny recess in elementary school. .... or something like the above happened, it was 28 years ago.... ![]()

I too just got that same warning... not 5 minutes ago. My IT guy here at work was alerted too and contacted me about it. He said to be wary and contact the site manager about the fact his site could be a host to a Trojan. ![]()
![]() Good luck with Pathfinder and your other new endeavours. I will be buying them of course, as I have been buying Dragon and Dungeon for the past 7 years straight (I know, 2 of which were pre-Paizo). I trust Paizo. WotC... not so much, sorry to be rude. Thanks for all the work y'all have done for two iconnic magazines. My money will still come your way. ![]()
![]() As mentioned above, canonfire.com is were I go most of the time. I also pull from Living Greyhawk sites for various regions like http://www.bandit-kingdoms.net/
Mostly just for basic storylines and NPCs. Sure would be nice to get a campaign book or something.

![]() PC's Name: Rigun "The Fishmonger" Mor Race: Human male Class: cleric of Wee Jas Level: 10 Circumstances of Death: Grappling with a vrock. Party comes along a deserted village following a fleeing Iuz army. Of course, Iuz priests have left a few "suprises" for persuers. This village has 2 vrocks in it that know of teh approaching party. They commence in 'the dance of ruin' after succesfully summoning a third vrock and casting mirror image so it looks as though there is about 12 vrocks instead of just 3. The dance goes off - all party making saves except Fishmonger and the bard. The bard is at -6 hp and Fishmonger is still up at 2 or 3. Fishmonger casts cure moderate wounds on himself and (already buffed with divine strength and righteous might) moves in to help the bard. After that, one of the vrocks shows up to finish them off, Fishmonger and the bard (now up and ready) hiding behind a stone arch. Melee ensues. The bard is back in negatives again and Fishmonger is down to 8 hp while the vrock is at 9 hp. The enlarged and enhanced cleric decides to initiate a grapple to keep the vrock from going back into the village to help the other vrock fighting his company members. In the grapple, Fishmonger actually even pulls out a mw kukri gifted to him by some Flan militia members. The fight goes for about 2 more rounds with no damage being done to either Fishmonger or the vrock. Finally, the vrock gets a claw in and it is a crit, Fishmonger is at -9hp. Fishmonger goes down and the vrock spores sends him to -12 hp by the end of the round. The vrock is slain immediately by the dwarven assassin next round with a hit from his heavy crossbow. Setting (and Adventure Path, if you're using one): Vagabonds of the Standard, Greyhawk 594cy, Rookroost/Redspan, homebrew. ![]()
![]() Just finished Exit A by Anthony Swofford last night. I liked it as well as Jarhead because me and him have very similiar stories to tell. I am currently (this morning) not reading anything but I have a few choices. I bought Three Musketeers by Dumas a few months ago; I believe it is time to read it. ![]()
![]() I have a ton of minis, some I painted and some are DnD minis. When I have an encounter coming up where I do not have a mini, I use tokens. I find a picture using Google image search, copy/paste it to a word doc, size it, print it and cut it out. I use 1" and 1 3/4" steel washers to add body and weight to my minis and tokens - so I glue the picture to the washer of appropriate size and use those. I also own a Chessex battlemat but have started using Steel Sqwire lamenated mats when I do not use 3D terrain from Dwarven Forge or any of the many cardstock model terrain thingys out there. |
