Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

...Just out of curiosity, are there rules to drinking in Pathfinder? Expect that maybe you could get sickened or nauseated if you drank too much..?

"Awww, allright then", Dariya shrugs and forces the liquor bottle open, watching after Gird as the half-orc goes about her business. Paladins can't drink alcohol at all? Gee that sounds boring. Dariya is once again happy about her life decisions and not becoming a paladin. Being a cavalier is a lot cooler in the halfling's opinion.
Dariya starts sipping the liquour.

Question to the GM - does the booze taste good or awful?

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Ah, we're not selling the booze?" Dariya asks as Gird places the booze next to the halfling.
"Well I always enjoy getting drunk off the good stuff!" she exclaims loudly, smiling and she takes a bottle to her hand.
"Care to drink with me miss paladin lady?"

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Hah, I don't really have anything extra on me, sorry! But thanks for the offer!"
Dariya exclaimed and waved her tiny arms around.
"Go get 'em and sell that booze!"

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya watches the arguing from the sidelines.
As Lockjaw has been released of his harness, the wolf shakes his body and lays down to rest on the ground. Dariya scratches her steeds ears.
"You've deserved it", she says to the dog and then leaves the animal be so it could rest. Dariya walks over to everyone else in the cart and whistles by herself.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya observes Gird and Thrae's "conversation" from a distance as she proceeds to take the cart-pulling harness off her wolf.
Maybe it's best for Dariya to... Not say anything right now.
"There there old boy, you did a great job, yes you did! And now you can rest, yes, you can rest for a while", the halfling says to Lockjaw as she releases him from the cart and pets the wolf's neck and jaw. He had been a good boy.

Should I have Dariya be at full HP then too or..?

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Hey, she's not a dog! She's a gnoll!"
Wow, what a culturally ignorant man!
In any case, frowning, Dariya hurries over to Thrae, even if she'd rather not approach on a gnoll eating a human.
"Uh, hey, Thrae? Could you maybe possibly you know... Stop eating that lady?" the halfling asks, smiling slightly awkwardly.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Well that sounds fair. The locals should be most aware of what kind of problems these guys have caused and how they should be punished, after all", Dariya concludes her thoughts and nods powerfully. Yes, she is pleased with this idea.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya smiles to Gird as a thank you. She still isn't in prime condition, of course, but she's feeling better already.
Maybe she could ask for Thrae's healing magic too after the gnolls done with her, uh, meal..?

"We don't?" Dariya asks, in reference to Oomlowt's arch enemy comment. Because in her mindset, arch enemies would be amazing. But they are sure a bother if they keep on following you everywhere.
"Mmmh, anyway... I don't really have any experience in this, can bandits be rehabilitated into productive members of the society or something? This whole area is a big mess and I'm sure Oleg or anyone else living here wouldn't mind having more hardworking citizens around..."
The halfling lady shifts her attention to the bandits.
"Though I guess it'd be worth hearing your input in this - are you guys dead set on becoming bandits again once we let you go?"

Meanwhile, since combat has ended, Lockjaw has gone on his way to take a rest on the ground... Though he's clearly keeping an eye on the bandits, and even people not that well-versed in canine body language could take a wild guess that if the bandits as much as get up on their own, the wolf would probably spring up too.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

The halfling seems to only now remember something, and raises her voice with a surprised tone.
"Oh, right, you're a paladin! Can you do some... Healing magic, Gird?"
Dariya looks up to Gird and pulls a few arrows off her shoulder and arm, causing blood to spill out of the wounds again.
"Ehehe... I'm not feeling so good, actually. Just, didn't want to complain, because I didn't get my throat torn out, you know?"

Because I also just remembered she was still at just 5 hit points, oops.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya glances at the sad sobbing mess of a bandit and scratches her head.
"Well uh... I don't think we HAVE to kill him, maybe? I mean he... Seems like a total coward. He probably only attacked us because his, uh boss..", at this point Dariya glances at Kressle's remains, and then continues: "His boss told him to... If he seems like he deserves it we can kill him but I don't think it has to be neccessary..."

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya blinks after being the target of Gird's angry rant.
Sure she... Doesn't feel all that good about putting other people in danger but... She shouldn't show any weakness in front of her new team mates.
"H-hey, we DIDN'T die! Almost dying is a lot better than dying, right?"
Dariya offers up a weak grin and jumps off her mighty wolf steed.
"Uh, well, okay, it was really close, sorry. I seriously didn't think there would be so MANY enemies around. But I believed in all of our strength the whole time! I was sure we wouldn't die..!"
Gird's probably not buying this. Dariya admits she got caught up in the moment, but she didn't want to admit that to Gird. That would lower her (probably already nonexistant) credibility points.

The halfling turns to Oomlowt after hearing his question.
"They seem to be more than happy to share us any information we can get out of them. We should totally interrogate them."

The halfling also notices Thrae's... Questionable lunch, but decides not to say anything about it at least for now. She had heard gnolls would eat pretty much anything. Dariya didn't really go for eating humans but...

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya can hear some sort of muffled begs for mercy from the bandit's general direction.
It would probably be the right thing to let them live and such if they're begging for mercy... But... Ehhh...
The halfling lady remembers that Oleg did talk something about "a bandit problem" when Dariya and Raido arrived at the post and waited for the other adventurers, so there might be more bandits around these parts too... It's not quite as fun but...
Dariya takes a deep breath and yells from the top of her tiny lungs so that the bandits running away would hear her.

"Listen up, bandits! Your leader is DEAD! If you don't want to end up with her, get back here right now and surrender! We'll ask you a few questions and then you can go! If you co-operate, that is! We do have plenty of those crossbow bolts left too if you want to be stubborn!"
I guess this calls for a Diplomacy check though I doubt the bandit's attitude with our heroes would be good right now but...

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya feels extremely satisfied that she finally managed to at least knock Kressle down. In her eyes, Kressle's just as good as Dariya's "newest kill", even if she probably wasn't dead right now.
Dariya looks around, seeing that two bandits are still standing. And one bandit just... Caught fire? What in the world happened? It's hard to keep track of everything happening on the battlefield..!
In any case, the two remaining bandits seem to be pretty far away, and Lockjaw's done enough running for today. Dariya scratches her mount's ear rewardingly as she drops her flail on the ground and switches her to her crossbow, taking aim at the remaining two bandits.

If I'm correct loading a light crossbow is a move action so Dariya can attack this round just fine, right?
Attacking Bandit 5!

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Oh damn.
The orc lady's fallen.
Let's hope she's not dead, because she seemed very tough, at least from what Dariya gathered from the short time she's hanged out with this crowd.
But whether she's dead or not can be checked later. There's still combat to do.
Determined to take this leader lady down, Dariya pulls Lockjaw's scruffy neck hair, steering the wolf at Kressle's direction, and readies another attack.

Dariya's Flail Attack Roll!
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Lockjaw's Bite Attack Roll!

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya looks back at Gird, throat and mouth gushing blood all over, and lets out a symphatethic hiss. That HAS to hurt.
Dariya's not feeling so good herself either, but she can't just turn back now, not now when she's so close to the yellow lady..! The rest of the bandits just MIGHT get demoralized if they see their leader fall.
"Aaaaaaaaa..!"
Dariya steers Lockjaw at Kressle, flailing her flail, and commanding the wolf to attack as well.

Dariya's attack rolls!
1d20 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 1 + 2 = 21
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Lockjaw's attack rolls!

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Hopefully Dariya can make it before any silly bandits shoot her...

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Uggh, all these arrows sticking out of the small cracks in Dariya's armor don't feel so hot.
Dariya looks around, wondering where the heck that little lizard guy and that gnoll lady went, since they're nowhere to be seen.

Dariya hates backing out from a battle, but she doesn't really enjoy being the target of all the arrows either, no matter how heroic it made her feel. She'd like to go and club those cowardly bandits with her flail, but these stupid logs were on the way..! She'd have to go all the way around the logs to get to the bandits - but apparently the yellow lady was throwing daggers at anyone on the other side of the logs.
Eh, daggers sounded a bit better than arrows.

Dariya commands Lockjaw to move, hoping the bandits would take a minute to adjust to her changed location.

Dariya and Lockjaw move to the square two squares from Kressle and three squares from Gird.
Man I wish I had purchased potions or something.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Ah, yes, two men down, single-handedly by you and your wolf! Doesn't that make you feel like a powerful hero, huh?
Yeah it does.
Dariya looks around, ready to choose her next target. This... Axed lady with some yellow fashion statement kinda feels like a leader. Maybe if you took her down the rest of these silly archers would get all demoralised..? Though Dariya doesn't really care about small things like arrows stucking out of her shoulders, they sure are a huge inconvenience.
Maybe you could try making at least a few of these bandits... More scared of you.

Dariya waves her mighty (small) flail in the air with grand motions, accompanied by a scary heroic speech.
"You see that? You see that bandits?! You better brace yourselves! I've already smacked some sense into two of you with this flail right here, and they seem to enjoy their blissfull sleep!"
Dazzling Display Intimidate check!
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Well, Dariya was always better at telling stories than being scary... But it's worth a shot, right?

CHP: 15/26

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Well, judging by how the cart looks, at least you'll have a pretty sweet reward waiting for you once you're done with these silly bandits.
Dariya shouts commands, and Lockjaw advances towards this Bandit Number Three who just missed firing at her.

She won't reach 3 on this round but she'll move as close to him as she can on this round.

Also, any time Lockjaw might be the target of an attack, Dariya will take advantage of Mounted Combat feat.

CHP: 22/26

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya's closing in to the cart, riding Lockjaw.
Does she see any bandits yet? Only a god - I mean GM - would know.

Initiative!!
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya is itching to finally actually do something. Fetching radishes isn't really heroic and fun, even if she's been able to tell everyone about her awesome adventures for a few days now, which is of course good. But she feels like she should probably... You know, actually show everyone what she can do instead of just talking about her past heroic deeds.
So when Gird stops, suspecting a trap, Dariya's face lights up, and she grins.
"A trap? Yes! That sounds good!"

Dariya holds up her trusty flail in heroic manner.
"Lockjaw! Onwards! Let's bust this trap!"
Lockjaw lets out a grunt-like howl, and charges at the cart, his rider laughing stupidly by herself.

I guess it was pretty obvious Dariya was riding Lockjaw this whole time for landspeed and coolness factor's sake?

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"That's the spirit!"
Oomlowt sure talked funnily but he was probably talking about eating like, chickens and stuff, not lesser humanoids, right? Not that Oleg would have tiny humanoids available for breakfast anyway...
Dariya trots over to Lockjaw, who's trying really hard to sleep even with all the commotion, and scratches behind the wolf's ear.
"I'll bring you some breakfast too after we've eaten!"
The wolf seems pretty happy about being scratched behind the ear.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

It looks like it wasn't actually a good idea to start talking about religion.
Geez, who would've guessed that?
"Uhhh... Mmmm yeah..."
Dariya mutters by herself and scratches the back of her head. It would probably be the best for everyone's general welfare if they changed the subject.
"Oh! Hey! Umm... Have you guys eaten yet..? I mean, we could all probably eat breakfast and then actually go out there to explore the Greenbelt? Yes? Unless you had some business to get to? Just, a hearty breakfast is the most important thing of the day. You can't kick people's *ss without a hearty breakfast..! And I'm all about kicking *sses."
She accompanies her speech with grand hand motions again.
She must be doing it because she's so short and she wants to attract attention.
Probably.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Ah! Hanspur! Okay!"
Hanspur... Is about... Rivers, right? And rats? Ahh... Okay?
Dariya's not really all that knowledgeable about gods, to be honest, she cared more about herself than gods, but it's best not to tell a clergywoman you don't really know who their god exactly is.
"I pay my respects for Gorum. He's a pretty cool guy, my kind of god. "

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Ah, I see..!"
These two must be great if they've been able to impress a gnoll!
...Or then Thrae is lying.
But Dariya might not be thinking about that. Why would Thrae lie? Would it really benefit her in this situation..? Ah, better not think too much about that.
Things will work out better if you trust your team mates after all. Socializing might help with that.
"Cleric, huh? What god do you worship, then?"

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya shrugs. Eh, Oomlowt and Gird really must want to talk alone.
The halfling turns her attention to Thrae.
"So Thrae..! What's your business here?" Dariya's question could sound rude if it wasn't accompanied by a genuine smile.
"You don't see a lot of gnolls travelling without other gnolls around. Are you just really adventurous or something?"
Eh, her questions might've been rude... But she didn't seem to care about that.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Ah, you must be mistaken!"
Dariya motions her hands at Oomlowt.
"Lockjaw is not a pet. He's my warsteed. We charge to battle together! And he's more than capable of taking care of himself and me."

Right now, as the wolf is just laying on the ground, drifting into sleep, it doesn't look all that much like an intimidating mount.

"But hey..! So Oomlowt, Thrae and Gird... Have you mapped a lot of this area yet? I'm so eager to go out there adventuring! I just want to know if you've already done most of the work..! I won't forgive myself if I've missed out on all the fun!"

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

"Isn't it great? Bird man and bird sidekick!"
Dariya laughs.
"These two are a lot of fun!"

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya listens to Oomlowt's story carefully.
"Well! Sorry to hear about your friends. It's a truly sad story."
She pounds her chest with grand motions.
"But fear not! I did not come here to die right away! You can count on me, uh... Uumloot, was it? In fact, I have already gained a bit of a reputation as a hero!"

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Dariya looks at everyone individually, as if trying to figure out what kind of people they are from their looks, but seems to stare at Gird and Thrae the longest, and only really notice Oomlowt when he starts to talk.
What were these little lizard people called anyway? They must be too small and insignificant if you can't remember that!

"Yes! My name is Dariya Wolftusk, and my companion here is Lockjaw!"
The halfling nods at the wolf, who's gone back to being curled up on the ground, though it seems to eye the group occasionally.
"I received the charter some time ago, but some things kinda held me up... You know, the usual things. Slaying an undead bear. Overthrowing a twisted wererat king. You know. Hero things."
Dariya's speech is accompanied by grand hand motions.
"But! I finally made it here a few days ago... And then I hear there are already adventurers out there exploring the Greenbelt! I insisted on going out after you on my own, but this Oleg guy assured me you'd be coming back soon... Took a bit longer than I expected, though, but it's fine, seeing you're FINALLY here! Although... I was informed you were a party of five... I see only three of you!"
This lady sure talks a lot and loudly.

Female Halfling Level 2 Cavalier

Okay.
Let's do this thang.

The commotion caused by the band of adventurers closing in doesn't seem to disturb the seemingly sleeping dog - which is actually a wolf, but you might not know that - but as you get closer to the guesthouse, its torn ears seem to perk and its nose starts twitching violently. The wolf jumps up, snarling and barking.
It just might be the gnoll smell in Thrae that's intimidating the wolf.
Just might be.

A short second after the wolf has started barking, a voice accompanied by the sound of running steps sounds from behind the guesthouse door.
"Lockjaw? Lockjaw! What is it?!"
The door slams open, and behind the door stands a tiny halfling lady.
Despite her size, she seems somewhat... Impressive in her long red coat, facial piercings and short hair.
The halfling stares at the band of adventurers wide-eyed for a second, until she starts talking again.

"Oh! OH!! You must be the adventurers Oleg has been telling us about! Oh that's great! Yes! Amazing!"
She grins and laughs, and suddenly seems to remember that her wolf is still making a huge ruckus. She jumps at the animal, locking its neck in a hug? At least it seems like that, but at least it forces the wolf's head lower.
"Shhhh, Lockjaw, shhhh! That's rude! Don't bark! It's OK old boy! It's OK!"
And well enough, the wolf's barking lowers into a low growling noise, and soon dies out alltogether.

The halfling looks at Gird, Oomlowt and Thrae again, smiling quite happily.
"Do forgive my wolf, he's a bit intimidated by some smell in you. Probably gnoll smell. No offence. He's a smart wolf, but still just an animal."
