Greetings Game Masters! (and adventurers who are subject to the unyielding whim of their Masters of the Game... also known as players... :P)

Today I just wanted to talk a bit about the first adventure in our product lineup for this year: Winter's Queen.

Here are a few snippets of what this adventure is all about:

"A thousand years ago, a war raged across the entire continent of Ezalyth, the frozen lands in the southern portion of Relistan. The Frozen Lords having raised an army in an effort to overthrow the vile Diaconu: a ruling family who had reigned over Ezalyth for generations...

This is well known history in the region, but now you have a chance to become part of that history. The war is going well for the Frozen Lords, the leaders of your cause. Dozens of battles have been fought across the land, and the many victories have led the Lords' Army to the base of Mount Megyott, where the final bastion of the Diaconu line lies.

The main force of the army will begin the ascent in a days' time, knowing that many lives will be lost as they push forward to the gates of the ancient castle at its peak. But you, having proven yourselves time and time again in the past, you have been given a special task. Scouts have discovered a secret entrance into the mountain, believed to connect to the dungeons below Caer Valithol. Of all of the skilled operatives in the Lords' Army, you have been selected to steal into that hidden entrance, find your way into the castle, and cut the head off of the snake, so to speak. Your task, is to save as many of your brethren as you can, by putting an end to Musetei Diaconu, Winter's Queen."

This adventure will be the prequel to our upcoming arctic-themed adventure path! More on this, as well as our other products as they are developed so stay tuned!

Hey everyone!

Some of you have already seen some of the products by Silver Crescent Publishing here in Paizo's store. Well, now we're cooking up something new! With the launch of our Kickstarter entitled Rebuilding the Realms of Twilight we are seeking to release an expanded and professionally edited campaign setting hardcover book.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Realms of Twilight setting, it is why we have come to affectionately call a post apocalyptic fantasy campaign setting of shadow and mystery. Here's a little background on the world:

The sun has been eclipsed for thousands of years, the work of an ancient race in their attempt to purge the world of the vermin that have polluted and destroyed their world. Much of the world is dominated by darkness and savagery, but amidst the chaos, bastions of civilization rise.

The world consists of give continents and a plethora of nations. We believe that role playing is all about the story, supported by the mechanics. As such we've included more than a half dozen legends about the ancient past, in order to inspire GMs to tie their campaigns to the worlds intricate history. But never fear, there is plenty of crunch in there as well, including new character options, player races and even a new base class that uses mundane components to produce quasi magical effects such as healing, distractions or damaging explosions.

For the new book, we've got some great artwork already completed by both our cover and interior artist Jocelyn Sarvida and out cartographer Jen Page The archmage himself, Ed Greenwood will also be contributing a new legend to the expanded book. But beyond completely new and updated high definition artwork and legends, we'll be adding an estimated 50 pages of content! Examples of this would be an additional player race, settlement statistics blocks and a few additional details about many of the worlds amazing locations.

So check out the Kickstarter and let us know what you think! We're always anxious to talk about our world so if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact is either here or on our Facebook page!

We look forward to seeing you all join us on our adventure to rebuild the Realms of Twilight!

Scarab Sages Silver Crescent Publishing

We are currently working on two more adventures in support of the Realms of Twilight Campaign Setting.

The first adventure takes place in a farming community not far from the edge of a vast jungle. Murders have taken place on the outlying farms and the PCs must investigate the cause... and it is not as simple a mystery as they might expect.

The second begins in the desert city of Calatain on the continent of Shiran. This one is higher level adventure that begins with potent visions that dominate the dreams of the PCs. Something big is coming, and to fight it, they must find a lost temple far across the sands and recover the only weapon that can fight such evil. This adventure features several different paths to the end and a number of additional adventuring opportunities along the way. Needless to say it is a higher level adventure than either Lycan's Bane or the jungle adventure. Mysteries, deception and the ever shifting sands will challenge the players in their quest.

Both of these adventures are scheduled to be ready and printed in time for GenCon at the beginning of August. We look forward to showing them off at the convention.

Silver Crescent Publishing finds itself in need of another cartographer in order to complete two of our projects. Maps will be needed both for overview points (town maps, areas, etc.) as well as maps for particular encounters that can be traslated over to d20Pro map files. There are currently 2 adventure projects going that are in need of these maps so there is a possibility for one or two people.

Those interested, please send a sample of your work to daniel@realmsoftwilight.net. These map projects will be required to be completed by July 1st. Those who actually get these map contracts will be credited as cartographers in the respective adventures.

Thank you all and have a good day.

This is the first adventure that we have released. It takes place on the continent of Kesuril (thus the K1). I hope you all enjoy it, and I look forward to seeing a few reviews.

Also, once my website revamp is completed (hopefully in the next week or so) I will be posting the encounter maps up for download for use with D20 Pro software.

A few months ago I mentioned the we were offering open playtesting for one of our adventures. That adventure has since been given the title of Lycan's Bane. A week from Monday this 42 page book will be sent to the print shop for print IN FULL COLOR!

Lycan's Bane is a 5th-7th level adventure designed for 4-6 characters. It starts out in the capital city of the Illurian Empire and stretches to the far eastern border, on the other side of which is the nature (and lycanthrope) worshipping nation of Valin. The two countries are just a hair's breadth away from war, and Illuria intends to be prepared for it. They must get a certain, powerful weapon to the eastern command and from there to the border fort that they expect to be the site of the war's first battle.

This weapon is of great importance and time is of the essence. Will the PCs make it to Caer Gorinith in time, or will they fall along the perilous journey they must endure?

Once the printing is done (I've been told 2-3 weeks from sending it out) it will be available at the Realms of Twilight store. The pdf version will be available here. The estimated prices are $14.99 for the print version, $7.99 for the PDF (though these prices have not yet been solidified).

Scarab Sages Silver Crescent Publishing

Alright, as I've mentioned before I'm currently hard at work on a number of different adventures. The top two of which are Lycan's Bane and A Whispered Requiem. Both are set in our Realms of Twilight Campaign Setting.

At this point Lycan's Bane is ready for playtesting by any who wish to do so. It is a relatively short adventure that begins in the Illurian Empire. This one deals with the rising tensions between the Empire and the nation of Valin to the east. It includes pre-generated 5th level characters, though any character of equivelent level could be used.

For anyone who is interested, please shoot me an email and we'll set something up. [Warning: Legal Stuff - Please note that everything contained in the adventure remains the property of Silver Crescent Publishing.] The version of the adventure that you will receive is only the general text. Artwork, maps and such will be included in the final version of course, but not for the purposes of playtesting.

As with most playtesting, I will be looking for feedback on the adventure as a whole, the challenge level of it compared to the character level and anything else those who playtest it would like to voice.

Again, if you're interested please send me an email and we can arrange something for you.

Thanks and good gaming to all.

Greetings to all! I hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving weekend, or at the very least had something good to eat.

Due to the interest in the Realms of Twilight Campaign Setting I've decided to post a list of the projects Silver Crescent is currently working on.

Adventures:

Lycan's Bane - an adventure for 5th level characters that will introduce players to some of the areas in and around the Illurian Empire on the continent of Kesuril.

Whispered Requiem - A longer three section adventure for 1st level characters. Strange things are happening in the western kingdoms. War is brewing, tensions are high, and an ancient gateway is waking int he city of Requiem.

Novels:
Into the Night - The first novel in the Master of Shadows trilogy. It begins in the city of Illuria and the fall of the noble valshari house of Tirth'Tarl. The daring escape of the surviving brothers, who quickly find themselves entangled in events far beyond their expectations or understanding.

These are the three current projects at the moment. Lycan's Bane I am hoping to have out by the end of the year (it is in the final stages of production right now), the other two are aiming for spring of next year. Feel free to ask any questions about any of these products or the Realms of Twilight.

Keep the questions and emails coming. As any proud author I enjoy talking about the world that I created. Now I'm just trying to foster that world in YOUR imagination, and help it take shape for You.

Greetings to all from Silver Crescent Publishing.

We've now released the Realms of Twilight Campaign Setting! In both PDF and print format. It is a world compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying game rule set, and new lands for you and your companions to explore and delve into.

I'm starting this discussion thread to see what you all think about the setting, as I see we've had a few purchases already. For Silver Crescent Publishing, the fans are the most important thing, so we are looking for feedback on how to make our products even better. More importantly, we are looking for opinions on what our next gaming product should be. You can take a look at our site forums for a taste of what is already planned, or post your opinion here. We'd like to do a world book about a particular continent, but the choice of which continent we do we are leaving up to you!

So make your voices heard and let us know what you think about the setting, and where you think we should focus on next!

Good gaming to you all.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Silver Crescent Publishing is in the process of developing a new campaign setting designed to be compatible with both the Open Gaming License and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

This is a world where the sun was eclipsed centuries ago by a few race, leaving only the light of the three moons shining down on the world below. It is a world with an ancient and tragic history, though few no live who know the truth of the past.

The world consists of 5 continents. Two of these continents have a rather temperate environment and a third is covered by savanna and jungle. The final two are the physical manifestation of fire and ice, being a vast desert, heated by the remnants of the past, and the frozen tundra at the edge of the world.

After looking through all of the races I noticed that pretty much all of them have an addition +2 to some ability score or other that wasn't there in 3.5. Though technically they are still balanced with each other, that puts them just one further step above the challenges they may go up against. PCs are supposed to be "special" by their very nature, and a campaign CAN be engineered to take these additional bonuses into account. I'm just curious why these extra ability score adjustments are included? I've never been a power gamer, and I've always prefered role-plaing to hack and slash, though of course a good slaughter every now and then adds a bit of flavor. I guess my point is, I don't see the need for additional ability score adjustments on top of what is already presented in the 3.5 rules, especially since the exact same races are being provided.
Also, I could be wrong, but doesn't the OGL say that you basically have to refer back to the basic rules written by Wizards of the Coast? Including using the exact same races only slightly modified but with the same name? As I said, I could be misinterpreting but that is how I understood it.

Scarab Sages Silver Crescent Publishing , Star Voter Season 9

I've been working on a new campaign world for several years now and am finally putting it into book format to hopefully publish upon completion. I just wanted to get a few opinions on my ideas and possibilities for publishing if anyone knows anywhere. So, here goes:

Basically it's a world still set in 3.5 rules. There are several continents, each with their own histories, power structures and populations. It is a world of in depth history that most of the population doesn't know, due to a cataclysmic event that occured in the (relatively) recent past, which is to say about 1,300 years ago. The twist on this is that the world does not have a sun, or rather, the sun is hidden fromt he sky. There is logic behind why this is, but I prefer to save that for when/if I can actually publish the idea. The issues of ecology, heat, etc. have been more or less resolved, so the basics are covered. But the large premise of it is that it is a world of eternal twilight. Energies from the elemental planes leaks in, distorting some places, while making magic dangerous and unpredictable in others. I have several cultural pantheons of dieties that I'm still trying to sort through (3 years is a lot of random writing :) ) and several legends that I plan to publish in a chapter of my campaign book. The biggest thng I'm not sure of is how much information to give about particular NPCs, like the ruler of an empire, or significant history based, living NPCs. That's it for now. Just thought I would get a few opinions on the idea.

Thanks
