About Dan'Pho
Raised in Quain, Dan'Pho trained in various martial arts schools there, but was not able to find the style that called out to his soul. His dedication and skill allowed him to join a group set to travel the world teaching and learning martial arts; he was the youngest member.
Their first destination was Goka, the largest and most prosperous city in Tian Xia. The variety of wonders there was astonishing, even to this young stoic. The school they spent the most time at belonged to the Lantern Lodge where Dan'Pho learned more of the greater world; his troupe got along with them so well they decided their next trip would be with the Pathfinder lodge to Absalom, their last trip as part of that organization in fact.
Absalom was just as amazing as Goka, but full of even more foreign people, artifacts, and cultures. Something about the city spoke true to the troupe and they decided to setup a more permanent school there, something Dan'Pho was not pleased about. Whenever he wasn't attending his duties at the new school he was out seeking the style for his soul, and one of the places he frequented was the Grand Lodge.
At the Pathfinders' headquarters he met a strange bird creature, a tengu, named Kezchak, a master of Crow Style (very similar to Crane Style), but his skills and those taught at the temple he trained at did not fit Dan'Pho. He met several others there, but the best was a friendly, handsome man named Orakin Paineater who wasn't a martial artist, but had one at his small temple to a slight variant of Zon-Kuthon worship. And that is when he met a silent man he only calls Sifu.
The style taught by Sifu focused on striking pressure points to cause debilitating pain, which intrigued Dan'Pho; he'd seen a similar Mantis Style before, but his new master used it in a unique way. He learned much about the bodies of living creatures under Sifu's tutelage, but he still didn't feel a perfect fit with the style. His tutor was very wise and sensed this, taking him to Nidal where he was trained as a Silent Enforcer of the Silent Shroud. Here he learned something that made him feel complete, and when they returned to Absalom Sifu was able to help him bring all of Dan'Pho's experiences into a singular style, and it was perfect.
Dan'Pho works as an apprentice acupressurist at Blessings of Life & Pain: Temple and Tattoos, where Orakin Paineater is the high priest. Orakin is sending Dan'Pho to the Pathfinder Society to give him an outlet to put his training into practice.
