Male Zombie Gamemaster

You can but I would suggest doing it soon as am going to wait 48 hours for everyone to complete their actions before the creatures will have reached you

Male Zombie Gamemaster

"I have heard tales of it but they are very vague and slurred by drink"

The door will not budge and the creatures are almost on you guys

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Erwarth sees the rustling of nearby brush approaching fast, but he cannot pick out even a rough estimate of their numbers

Katya is puzzled and cannot recall the diety

Knowledge: Religion DC 18:

It belongs to the deity Aasterinian, and you can tell that by the grinning dragons head on the alcove above the gate

Alas the door does not budge

You can attempt again at a +1 bonus

Success on an aid check I believe grants the intial user of the skill a +2 bonus

Male Zombie Gamemaster

You arrive at an entrance which looks like the ruins of a catherdral poking from the side of the mountain. The doors ahead of it seem rusted shut however with the proper application of strength you discern it can be broken.

You hear more of the dog-like noises approaching quickly, this time more than the ambush party is heard. It seems the nature around the mountain turn attention to you in an effort to stop you from entering

Mountain

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun quietly guides the party according to the map, the scenary starting to change to volcanic waste as you approach a high overlooking mountain

Chance to do some additional rp

Male Zombie Gamemaster

HOLY $@#%

The dog-like creatures are slain instantly under Jeiten's blow and the rest wounded flee off into the night fleeing the wrath of the group

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Anapa 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
Erwarth 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Looks like

Orgirdor
Katya
Creatures
Erwarth
Anapa
Jieten

The creature are five in number and armed with simple weapons but use them with practiced ease

2 charge and swing at Katya, whilst 1 attacks Orgirdor. The last two seek to bring down the biggiest of the group being Jieten

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Suddenly several dog-like creatures leap from behind the stones and attack the party

Initiatives if you would

Beasts: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Srry srry guys my schedule is changing rapidly and im really tight on time as of now and I can kick-start the developments prob on Sunday

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Perception checks everyone please?

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun walks over to Erwarth where they are gathering, and looks at the map

"hmm..wait a second."
Samsun reads over the writing again

"Its the Great Eastern Mountain!"

As Samsun speaks those words, the map forms into a discernible writing.

"Ahh we have our destination! Its very close too, only 4 miles away!"

Perception checks please
GM DICE: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

DC 20 Perception Checks:

You see small blueish shapes beginning to appear, around the party, they vanish quickly however

Male Zombie Gamemaster

I apologize guys if you are beginning to get frustrated with me over the map-scroll. I just have an idea in my head how I want things to pan out and I'm trying for it

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun goes over the words almost locked in his own world as he reads the parchment.

"It says...What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than trees
Up, up it goes,
And yet never grows?

Pointing to the east, where lizards lay
come to offspring you may

"Hmm, I believe that is a riddle. Does anyone have an idea as to what the answer is?"

As he reads off the parchment, the ethereal spirits vanish as if some blasphemy was committed.

"The map is very poorly made, almost indiscernible. However, the riddle is very very clear"

Male Zombie Gamemaster

I guess since recruitment is literally 0
I could take Samsun and actually make a profile for him and play him as a PC in a way.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun
"I..I'm not exactly sure. I am certain this is the right spot--"

Suddenly, the color almost recognizing Samsun. Seems to glow a darker and darker shade before going out completely

Suddenly, the basin starts to fill with water. Something tugs at Samsun's pocket where his key resides and he withdraws it slowly letting the force take over and it settles in the basin of water.

The basin starts to turn to parchment, and the key still laying there. Samsun withdraws the parchment/key and exclaims

"It's a map to the Nursery!"

At the bottom reveals a strange markings written almost in a sentence

Male Zombie Gamemaster

The inscriptions seem to glow each time Erwarth speaks in different languages yet they all seem to no effect. When, Erwarth spoke draconian it seemed to glow a shade of red before returning to blue, yet Erwarth feels as though he was being hit. Samsun pushes past to the front and starts to think aloud.

Samsun
"Hmm, this is quite interesting--"

As soon as Samsun starts to speak the inscriptions glow more intensely this time. Samsun quite startly quickly shuts his mouth and the color returns to its same shade

Erwarth:

Will Save DC 17 or become dazed for 3 minutes

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Well, guys I have to ask a favor of you.

I really do not know how to play Abid's class very well and I feel kinda off-balance playing it. I also don't like GMing and playing a PC at the same time I feel it can bias some things.

So what I am asking if someone would be willing to bot him rather than me

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun gently brushes away Katya's hand
Samsun to Katya
[b]"I do not know entirely as I do not originate from this land. I have heard tales of gargantuan men, gnoll bands, and things without form."

"We must get on the trail now, time is not a luxury I am willing to wait for."

Several Miles Later, Several Hours Later

Samsun leads the group to the location which lays stones perfectly arranged in a circle formation. As you approach you seem to sense the area start to darken and almost in a nightlike trance. Orbs of energy dance around, and pass through several party members. At the middle, lays a small column that has a stone basin on the top, a place cut in an egg-like shape perfectly.

DC 13 Perception Check:

You see small bits of writing under the stone basin. It is written in a language hard to discern. When you speak under your breath or to your fellow adventurers it seems to glow slightly..

Stone Circle

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun
"Um, I've heard of attacks from coyotes and things. Most of the creatures that roam here only have glances as descriptions primarily because if you got a full look you were almost certainly dead"
Samsun looks sheepish as he eats his breakfast
"The travel should only be about a couple hours more a walk. I'd say 4 miles or so.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Soon, the morning approaches and the campfire is now burning down to embers. Samsun wakes up groggily and begins to prepare breakfast consisting of some dried pieces of ham and bacon.

If you want you can do some RP here otherwise tell me if you are ready to continue

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Abid waves his hand and cast Cure Light Wounds on himself

HEAL: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Anyone else need healing?

Male Zombie Gamemaster

ABID

Abid seeing the creature come into full view, releases a blast of energy in lethal proportions

Unholy Blight

DMG: 3d8 ⇒ (4, 7, 4) = 15
Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

--------END OF COMBAT---

The creature falls and collaspes into dust leaving only the traumatized adventurers and 2 pits in the ground that slowly begin to fill

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Round 5 START

Before anyone can react the beast leaps out the hole and looks around for targets

Katya post your actions as well as I'll do Abid. But After those two turns this guy is very unlucky to survive

Male Zombie Gamemaster

ABID
After taking quite the beating he looks over the edge of the pit at the helpless construct and readies his weapons waiting for the creature to leap out

I will be gone for all of today going to play some 40k. When I return we'll finish this long overdue combat

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Well guys, as you can tell I'm not all that patient. Unfortunately that one of my character's vices.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

@Orgirdor: Thanks for letting me know

I think i'll bot Abid if he doesn't respond in the next 48 hours

Male Zombie Gamemaster

@Katya: I'll let it out at the start of round 5 still waiting for Abid.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Im gonna give it another chance to climb out to speed it up

Climb(DC 25) : 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

The construct fails yet again, it falls helplessly on its back

Still waiting for Abid so we can start round 5

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Round 4

Initiative 11- Golem, Abid, Katya

The Golem struggles to lift himself out the the deep pit, the coarse sides proving to be more than a challenge

Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
The Golem falls again back down, his pride very much injured

Initiative 10 - Jietin

Initiative 8- Erwarth

Initiative 6 - Orgirdor

Golems Remaining: 1

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Orgirdor seems to be the only one we are waiting on and I'm going to go ahead and push on. I've already made you guys wait long enough.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Yeah, srry guys for the confusion. I'll try to be a little more clear

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Round 3

Initiative 11 Actions - Abid, Katya, Golems

The Golem attacking Abid suddenly feels the earth beneath him start to move and sink
Ref Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
The beast in the pit made by Katya earlier attempts to climb out as well as the one who fell inside the pit
Fall DMG for Golem who just fell: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5) = 15
As the Golem hits the bottom of the pit it crumbles into pieces
Climb(Golem who has been sitting in the pit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Btw Katya that pit will also effect Abid, because he is literally right in front of it. So he will have to give me a Ref save DC 18 as well or fall. But because he is a friendly, he can grab a +2 bonus to the check

Initiative 10 Actions - Jieten
Swings at the Golem coming up the rear of the camp and slashes it down in a mighty swing

Initiative 8 Actions - Erwarth
Um..kinda confused here. Katya threw the thing in the pit before you acted so I can't see you reaching down 30 ft in a hole to do a touch attack on the thing..

Initiative 6 Actions - Orgirdor

Golems Remaining: 1

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Well, I am just catching up currently. Will update later today, I trust everyone enjoyed their little vacations?

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Also guys just a bit of fair warning, I am on vacation for a week and until Tuesday expect a decrease between posting time. Sorry for inconvenience but the DM needs time to chill with the family

Male Zombie Gamemaster

@Orgirdor: They are constructs

@Katya: I had everyone roll initiatives and I will re-assemble it in order

Male Zombie Gamemaster

@Jietin: Yes, to my understanding you moved close enough to be adjacent to the one attacking Katya(Which was the nearest). However its down a hole, trying to climb up but to no effect. You could charge the one attacking Abid who is 10 ft away from you. The Golem who dodged the web, is at Erwarth's position and he is 15 ft from Jieten.

The Golem dodging Erwarth's webbing attempts to smash through the ichor laid in front of him.

CMB to get through webbing: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

The Golem bursts through the webbing as if it was paper, and collides with Erwarth who summons a shield and strikes at him. However the attacks seem to not break his protection

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Ref save for one approaching camp: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Ref save for one attacking Katya: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

The beast slow but sure evades Erwarth's webbing, however the same cannot be said for the other who falls in a 30 ft pit made by katya
Was that your Round 2 action, Kayta?

Fall DMG: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3) = 13
Round 1-Complete
Orgirdor : Leapt up and drew sword
Jieten: Ran towards the creatures
Katya : Caste Haste and was hit by one of them
Erwarth: Caste Web on the slowest Golem
Abid: Backed up and total defense
Round 2- Partial
Katya: Cast Create Pit
Im gonna say you backed up and made the pit before he could react because your dex bonus is a hell of a lot better than his
Erwarth:
Jieen:
Orgirdor:
Abid:

The creature narrowly dodging the webbing is now upon the camp and charges Erwarth

Attack: Slam: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
DMG: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 5) + 5 = 13

Even with Abid's defensive stance, the golems bloodlust drives him

Slam: Abid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
DMG if hit: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 4) + 5 = 10

The unfortunate golem trapped in the pit attempts to climb out.
Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Gm dice: Golem 1: 1d100 ⇒ 41
Gm dice: Golem 2: 1d100 ⇒ 63
Gm dice:Golem 2: 1d100 ⇒ 43

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Hmm my bad guys. It is arcana then. I assumed it would be nature, because sand is naturish and earthy. Anyway a simple mistake carry on.

@Katya: Unfortunately, not. You will just have to bear with me without the use of a map.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Initiative Order
Unknown Creatures - 11
Abid - 11
Katya - 11
Jietin - 10
Erwarth - 8

One of the creatures sees the movements Katya makes, and senses an arcane ability. It charges her. While the slow mover behind the camp is nearing closer about 10 ft away now. Leaving one still pounding away at poor Abid

Slam: Abid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
The creature swings too wide and misses Abid

Slam: Katya: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
DMG: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 2) + 5 = 14

Since the creature and katya are going simultaneously, I think it appropriate that katya will have to cast defensively if you do not want to provoke an additional slam.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

During the night, unbeknownst to Abid who was on watch. The sand/clay around the camp begins to compact and forms 3 huge creatures.

They get a suprise round for being undetected

They quickly try to kill the Half-Dragon to stop him alerting the other sleeping adventurers
2 of them are going to attack Abid. While the other is about 20 ft behind the camp making a slow pace.

Slam Attack:Abid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
DMG if hit: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 7) + 5 = 15
Slam on Abid: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
DMG if hit: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (4, 5) + 5 = 14
Total: 29 DMG
GM roll:Target 1: 1d100 ⇒ 75
GM roll: Target 1: 1d100 ⇒ 18
Initiatives now
Creatures: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11

Knowledge(Nature): DC 14:

You recognize these creatures to be sand golems. They're immune to all forms of spells other than fire and cold based spells. They are also known to become overpowered with battlelust over time. Causing them to fight friend and foe

Male Zombie Gamemaster

As the party settles into their tents and the fire's flames crackle. The canyon's dust blows silently over the land. Everything seems calm..

GM Rolls: NO PEEKING!:

GM dice: 1d5 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
GM dice: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Who is on watch? Take a Perception check DC 19
DC 19 Perception check:
You see rocks and sands of the canyon begin to compact together about 15 feet away from you. Standing are 4 large creatures. If you have it take a Knowledge (Nature) check as well

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun to Erwarth
"Oh you mean the chest I offered in reward for your help? Its just filled with years of savings from generations, we normally kept it for times of financial need. I hope your gruesome scenario stays fiction."
Samsun to Katya
"He was a farmer and a entertainer, he used to use arcane elements in his illusions"

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Grumbling to himself and putting the key away, he starts to pitch his tent.

Samsun
"As you wish..."

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun to Abid
"My father made a deal with dragon, for reasons I don't even know. He asked the dragon to secure our family line so our name would never die out and the dragon agreed. However, it said "In return, you must secure my line." He'd received this key."

Samsun twirls it around

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun leads the group through the town, as you reach the edges the vendors become more and more sparse. You come to a canyon, that leads into a steep dry valley.

Sumsun to Group
"It is about a 7 mile journey to the location. We should reach it in less than 2 nights."

Let me know what is your marching order

Several Hours of Marching later

Nightfall approaches, and with it the chill of the desert canyons with no sun.

"We have made great progress and should reach our destination within hours tomorrow morning. As for now..how should we set up our night watch?"

Sorry guys, if its a bit fast. I just don't know really what you would do during the trek other than march. If you want to set some RP elements before the camp feel free to

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Cook to Jieten
"Er..I think not"
The Cook hurries back into the kitchen covering his shame

Samsun stands, opens the door to the tavern. Collecting some of his personal gear and other stuff, he motions for the party to follow him

Male Zombie Gamemaster

The cook turns to see the plate slide toward the Half Dragon. He frowns and looks at Erwarth
"Oi! Thats 2 gold, sir!"
He stops for a moment, thinking and speaks again.
"Well..if ya can beat me in an arm wrestle you don't hav to pay me a thing..if ya lose you pay double"
He rolls up a dirty sleeve exposing meaty arms
This is just an opposed strength test
GM dice: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Erwarth: DC 14 Strength test if you accepted:

You quickly break the Cook's hold and win your "meal" free

Samsun
"Well..I think if we're all ready let us set off"

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Samsun to Orgirdor
"Um, there is alot of words to describe last night..."
Cook to Katya
"HAHA..We ain't serve fruit an coffee 'ere. We give ya ale, ya bread, ya meat, an more ale!"
His sausage-like fingers produce such refreshments, he pushes them toward Katya. He turns from her laughing still about her requests, he starts to clean the tables.

Male Zombie Gamemaster

Stretching out his back, he slowly rubs it trying to quell the pain. He sits down, exhausted and asks for a bit of cooked ham.
Samsun
"I don't know if I can take another night like that..
I assume we depart after breakfast with the rest of your companions?"

A big, burly fat man with grease stains on his shirt comes out with a plateful of food for Erwarth and shoves it toward him

Cook to Katya
"An da, what wud you like lil girl?"

Male Zombie Gamemaster

....hp 2 each..wow really
