The door is still secure and you do not see any tracks other than your own.

This pocket chamber is damp and cold. The skeletons of three long-dead archers slump against rubble-filled arrow slits along the east and south wall.

Acidios:
upon inspecting the wall you notice there is a secret door here disguised to look just like the wall.

Acidios:
You sense two magical auras coming from the wall to the south. There are two magical auras that you sense, both of them faint.

Barlow Perception: The masonry walls of this 20 foot wide hall are in poor repair. The far end is especially bad, as it has completely collapsed, filling the southern section with rubble. The western wall is in much better shape than the other walls, and it holds a stone door with a rearing dragon carved in relief upon it. The door contains a dingle keyhole, which is situated in the rearing dragons open mouth.

Barlow:
You also see a dire rat hiding in the rubble near the door.

It appears these goblins have all been stripped of anything valuable.

This circular area is cobbled with cracked granite, upon which sprawl four goblins, all apparently slain in combat. One stands with its back against the western wall, the killing spear still skewering it and holding it upright. three wooden doors lead off from this area. Above, a hollow tower of loose masonry reaches 30 feet, but the intervening floors and stairs are gone, except for a couple of crumbled ledges.

Barlow finishes off the rat as quick as it started. Picking up the body and hurling it at Acidios. hitting him square in the chest.

Falling Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Barlow:
You do not see any specific tracks you do see that alot of traffic happens here, judging by how the dust settles.

The narrow stairs empty into a small courtyard, apparently the top of what was once a crenellated battlement. The buried citadel has sunk so far into the earth that the battlement is now level with the surrounding cavern floor. The floor stretches away to the north and south, and it is apparently composed of a layer of treacherous, crumbled masonry, which reaches to an unknown depth. To the west looms the surviving structure of what must be the Sunless Citadel. A tower stands on the wets side of the courtyard. A door leads into the tower.

Acidios with all of his might slashes down and chops the head of the rat off. The body goes rolling over the cliff and the head rests at Acidos' feet. Barlow tries to smash the rat running from him only to hit the ground destroying the bones resting on the ledge.

with the rats gone the silent depths of the switch back stairs lay before you. At the edge of sight, a fortress top emerges from the darkness. The subterranean citadel, though impressive, seems long forgotten, if the lightless windows, cracked crenallations, and leaning towers are any indication. All is quiet, though a cold breeze blows up from below, bringing with it the scent of dust and a faint trace of rot.

The rats each attempt to take a bite out of their attackers.

Rat 1: Bite(Barlow): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Rat 2: Bite(Acidios): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

The first rat tries to bite barlow only to be stopped by a boot. The second rat latches onto the calf of Acidios and tears a big chunk out.

Barlow and Acidios may take an opportunity attack if they wish.

Rat will Save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

Acidios gets up and makes it to the wall only to be pelted by another rock from up above. Barlow brings her earth shaker down and smashes the closest rat into a pile of rat goo. The two furthest rats step up and all three of the rats attack Barlow.

Rat 1: Bite: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Rat 2: Bite: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Rat 2: Bite(+4 prone):1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Rat 4: Bite(+4 prone):1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Acidios continues to roll and dodge the rats. He is about to make a quick jerk left when a large rock lands on his shoulder allowing a rat to get a chuck out or his leg.

Rat 3: Bite(+4 Prone): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Rat 4: Bite(+4 Prone): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

The rats start a frenzy and try to bite onto Acidios. The gnome is too quick for them and doges out of the way rolling around on the floor.

Acidios starts to climb down the rope at a very quick pace. He makes it half way with out fail and then his hands slip free from the rope.

Acidios Climb: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 10
Acidios Acrobatics: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6

Acidios:
As your stone drops down you see a ledge that is wide but rough. Sand, rocky debris and the bones of small animals cover it. A roughly hewn stairwell zigs and zags down the side of the ledge descending into darkness. The only way to the ledge is to climb down the rope.

Barlow and Lisbeth:
You notice that the area around the pillars have hosted a few small campfires. It looks as if someone went out of their way to try and hide the evidence of the camp.

Here is a link to the picture of the ravine.

After a long day of travel you come up to the location that is indicated on your map.

The old road passes to the east of a narrow ravine. At the rod'es closet approach to the cleft, several broken pillars just from the earth where the ravine widens and opens into something more akin to a deep, but narrow, canyon. Two of the pillars stand straight, but most of them lean against the sloped earth. Others are broken, and several have apparently fallen into the darkness-shrouded depths. A few similar pillars are visible on the opposite side of the ravine.

The pillars themselves have writing in what appears to be goblin. Also there is a knotted rope tied to one of the leaning pillars. The rope goes down into the ravine.

Goblin:
Come down here, lose an ear and we eat you.

Barlow:
You see a ditch just off the road with lots of brush.

Acidios:
Aside from their weapons you find 90 gold pieces, a potion of cure light wounds and all three of them have the same tattoo on their right forearm. The tattoo is a dragon skull, the left eye has what appears to be a gem. the right eye is blank on all but the leaders his has a serpent. When you look at the serpent it begins to coil out of the skull and leaps off the skin. It flies off and disappears in the distance.

Lisbeth:
It looks as if you were just far enough out of town that no one saw the exchange.

The thug like the rest of them falls limp to the ground.

Thug: It wasn't my deal, nor his deal to be makin' we were just messengers. You have made a terrible mistake. If I stop now i'm dead anyways.

The thug pulls his weapon up and gets ready for the onslaught.

Murix sees the earth breaker coming for him, but is unable to react. The last thing he sees in Barlow's angry face, and then his head becomes apart of his shoulders as he falls limp to the ground.
