PFS 5-08 Battle Map
I really want to make a second scenario happen. I need to work on getting my stuff together, I'm sorry it fell apart at the end.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
I'm sorry I've been MIA. My depression's been pretty bad the past couple of days and I've had no motivation. Sorry. :( Here are the sheets for both Leela and Aislinn if you guys want to look them over. Leela if you want you can just copy and past yours into your profile. Leela:
Leela
Female human barbarian 1 CN Medium humanoid (human) Init +1; Senses Perception +5 --------------------
Power Attack: You can choose to take a –1 penalty on all melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +2 bonus on all melee damage rolls. This bonus to damage is increased by half (+50%) if you are making an attack with a two-handed weapon, a one handed weapon using two hands, or a primary natural weapon that adds 1-1/2 times your Strength modifier on damage rolls. This bonus to damage is halved (–50%) if you are making an attack with an off-hand weapon or secondary natural weapon.
--------------------
You made your first kill at a very young age and found the task of war or murder to your liking. You either take particular pride in a well-placed blow, or find vile pleasure in twisting the blade to maximize your target's pain.
--------------------
Armor Check Penalty –3
Other Gear: hide armor, Large bastard sword, shortbow with 20 arrows, backpack, bedroll, caltrops, flint and steel, hemp rope (50 ft.), shovel, torches (5), trail rations (4), waterskin, 14 gp
Large Bastard Sword: Large Bastard Sword The sword Leela carries is difficult for her to wield because it was created to be swung by a giant. She takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls with the sword (this is already calculated into her attack bonus). Though a bastard sword can normally be wielded in one hand, Amiri must use two hands because the sword is sized for a Large creature. The sword deals 2d8 points of damage because of its Large size. Rage: A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a barbarian can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can rage for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from rage and spells likebear's endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a barbarian can rage per day. A barbarian can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive.
Aislinn: Aislinn Mcgillycuddy Female human hunter of Erastil 1 NG Medium humanoid (human) Init +4; Senses Perception +6 --------------------
Animal focus (1 minute / day)
1st (2/day)—feather step, resist energy 0 (at will)—create water, light, mending, purify food and drink --------------------
Prescice shot- don’t have penalty to shoot arrows --------------------
Killer: You deal an amount of additional damage equal to your weapon's critical hit modifier when you score a successful critical hit with a weapon; this additional damage is added to the final total, and is not multiplied by the critical hit multiple itself. This extra damage is a trait bonus.
Armor Check –1
Other Gear composite longbow with 50 cold iron arrows, club, studded leather armor, backpack, waterskin, spell component pouch, 2 gp --------------------
Animal Focus: At 1st level, a hunter can take on the aspect of an animal as a swift action. She must select one type of animal to emulate, gaining a bonus or special ability based on the type of animal emulated and her hunter level. The hunter can use this ability for a number of minutes per day equal to her level. This duration does not need to be consecutive, but must be spent in 1-minute increments. The hunter can emulate only one animal at a time. If the hunter's animal companion is dead, the hunter can apply her companion's animal focus to herself instead of her animal companion. This is in addition to the normal one she can choose, and (as with a companion's focus) remains in effect until the hunter changes it instead of counting against her minutes per day.
Nature Training: A hunter counts her total hunter level as both druid levels and ranger levels for the purpose of qualifying for feats, traits, and options that modify or improve an animal companion. Wild Empathy: A hunter can improve the initial attitude of an animal. This ability functions as a Diplomacy check to improve the attitude of a person. The hunter rolls 1d20 and adds her hunter level and her Charisma modifier to determine the wild empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly.
Faolan
--------------------
Link: Aislinn can handle Faolan as a free action or push Faolan as a move action. Share Spells: Aislinn can cast spells with a range of Personal on Faolan by touch. Tricks: attack [2], defend, detect, down, heel, track Trip: Whenever Faolan hits with a bite attack, Faolan can make a free trip attempt against that target without provoking any attack of opportunity. Even if Faolan fails by 10 or more, Faolan is never tripped by this attempt.

I'd love to DM another scenario if you all are up for it. We can go over a list of scenarios and see if there's something you all want to play. I'll have the chronicle sheets done after the holidays. Nimerah, I have no objection to running a party with 2 alchemists ;)
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
I'm putting Chronicle Sheets together including the Stardust Holiday Boon. You can look at it HERE. Let me know which boon you each want.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
Ah, fiddlesticks. I sent in my report before I saw this. If I get in touch with someone do you think they'd let me transfer the boon to one of you guys? You'll all make use of it before I would.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Well. That's awkward. I wish it had been one of you guys.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
AHA, I found the boon thing. It was buried in my email the whole time. Nixie: 1d20 ⇒ 3
:(
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
Boon time! Now, I’ve never done this before so correct me on anything if I’m wrong. The book says Quote:
You guys completed all of these. You also all get 2 prestige points, one for completing the primary success condition and one for completing the secondary success condition. Said boons grant: Quote:
So what I get from this is that everybody gets all the boons, huzzah! You guys got a Ring of Protection +1 and a suit of Studded Leather Armor +1 . We need to decide who gets what. There’s also some coin for each of you. And then of course we can RP out the whole ‘going home/reporting/official ceremony’ part, but I want to make sure I have all this straightened out.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
Well. I just did the math and that minotaur is dead. Good job! I'm in line with Aislinn at Star Wars so I'll do an official post thing when I get home.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
Nixie: Janira already went this round so you've got a turn before she goes again. She's got two rounds of bardic performance left but no spells. If you come across this round she'll turn on inspiring performance when it's her turn. She's not going to cross the bridge, you guys are her 'charges' and she's too stubborn to cross.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
I'm putting in a 24 hour "You snooze, you lose" policy. We're sooo close to being done and I really want to report the game before I go to bed on Saturday. Leela decides it’s time to take the fight to the minotaur. She runs across the bridge. Leela: Double moving Longbow Attack + Point blank shot + Inspire courage: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 1 + 1 = 28
Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Aislinn closes in on her prey. Her shot sinks into the creature's neck. Foalan rushes foward, leaps and sinks his teeth into the minotaur's arm. The creature falls over. Aislinn: Move action -Moving 30 feet so she’s close enough to active point-blank shot. Standard action- Attacking with her Longbow Faolan: Move action -Moving 10 feet so he can attack the minotaur. Standard action - Attacking with Bite. The minotaur pushes himself back up. Minotaur: Move action- stand up. He provokes an attack of opportunity from Faolan AOO Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 Faolan snaps the creature but misses. The minotaur tries to cut the glue that's hold him but all he does is get his axe covered in goo. Axe attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Normally yes, buuut being entangled dropped his AC down to 12 from the Dex loss. I drew a couple of lines and he's 55 feet away from you; he takes up two squares each way so I blew his image up to reflect that better. I don't think Nixie has Inspire Courage going. I'm assuming she turned it off after the last battle. But a 12 is still good enough to hit so yay for that! :) Nimerah's hands are a little unsteady; her shot is a little off aim. Luckily the Minotaur is more than a little stuck to the ground. The shot hits it right in the leg.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
The minotaur ignores the new arrivals. Janira's done some damage to it; it's got a couple of scratches and its axe is broken but it's clearly in better shape than the Pathfinder. It focuses all of its hatred on the halfing and swings its axe at her. Broken Axe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
His strike is clumsy and Janira dances out of the way. Janira retaliates by throwing a small bag at the creature. Ranged Touch: Tanglefoot bag: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
The bag explodes at the minotaur's feet. It tries to move but it's glued tight to the ground. The creature bellows in rage. Janira keeps backing up until she's right by Nixie's bridge. "Oh, that's clever! You must tell me how you- err, that's for later. I'm pretty beat up but I'll help you as much as I can!" Nimerah, Rohini, Leela and Aislinn all have moves before the Minotaur goes again. The blue line on across the river represents Nixie's solid water bridge
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
Janira takes a step back and snaps her whip at the minotaur Disarm: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12 She tries snatch the battleaxe out of the creature's hands but it just swats the whip away. You can cross the river with a DC15 Swim check. A 3-foot-diameter tree truck spans the width of the river, creating an impromptu bridge. You can cross it at half speed with DC 7 Acrobatics check, but you're flatfooted while you're on the log.. If you fail the acrobatics check there's a DC 13 reflex check to not fall in the water

In front of you Janira faces off with the minotaur from before. She’s dirty, blood soaking into her clothes from dozens of cuts across her body. The halfling clearly needs help and somehow, by some strange twist of fate, you’ve arrived at her fight. Janira, ever defiant, shouts “You vile beast! I know not what drives your black heart, but I shall not fail in my duty. I shall see you driven from this forest, back to the hills from whence you came!” NEW MAP HERE Under construction, will done within 5 minutes of this post INITIATIVE ORDER Aislinn + Janira, Minotaur, then everybody goes before the Minotaur goes again. Rohini's aim may be awful but she still blasts her targets into the next life. As the smoke clears you can see there's a lone mite standing. The creature looks at its fallen companions and shrieks in terror. Aislinn fires an arrow at the poor mite but misses. Nimerah, and Leela can all act now. Rohini deep fried the mobs ahead of you in the initiative ;) ETA: Also, I should have put that Mites have damage reduction in the info spoiler. I forgot about it. Mites have DR 2/Cold Iron. That means that they ignore the first two points of damage from normal attacks. But, if you have a Cold Iron weapon it does just as much damage.
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
I made a goof, so I have to retconn it and say Leela's arrow did no damage. Sorry, that was my bad :(
PFS 5-08 Battle Map
Whoops, I missed that it was my ‘turn’ Leela’s arrow sails across the river and slams into one of the mites. It staggers back as the other mites begin shrieking at the party. The injured mite breathes heavily, blood flowing liberally from the hole in its side. It glares at Leela, hatred obvious on its face. Suddenly its eyes bug out of its head and it lets out a piercing shriek. Mite casts Doom on Leela. Rolling her Will save to see if it works Leela Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 It takes a lot more than a smallm gibbering blue man to scare a fighter like Leela. Doom has no affect on Leela Uri decides that these creatures, while strange, aren’t technically desecrating the caves. Attacking them would break his vows, so that’s out of the question, but he can still make himself useful. Maybe he can get the creatures to target him instead? The Gillman walks up past Aislinn, strolling along like he’s doing an everyday task. Blue light flows over his hands like water; he claps them together and the light spreads over his body. Uri casts Sanctuary on himself. Rohini, Nixie and Nimerah are up!

Completing the Soldier’s Ritual grants everyone a +1 dodge bonus to AC against charge attacks. Completing the Scholar’s Ritual grants everyone a +1 competence bonus on Knowledge checks made to identify the abilities and weaknesses of creatures. Light flood the cavern and then quickly fades away. It leaves behind a feeling of peace. Uri clears his throat. “Well done. Now, I will follow you down that tunnel.” He stands up and wades out of the pool. Once he’s out he throws the cloak over his shoulders, shakes it out and then nods to himself. “The creatures, if they are more undead Gillmen, it is my duty to clear them.” Uri and the group make their way through the western tunnel. “There is a river at the bottom of the cave. It is how pilgrims leave the site. We walk here overland as part of the ritual but once the ritual is done we swim out the river. The river meets the sea after many miles. That spot is also where pilgrims first leave the sea. Cyclical.” The persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. As the group marches Uri keeps chatting. “There is a way to the surface by the river. That is the way you will go. I will have to go back, complete my ritual and lay my people to rest. Then I will leave and go talk to my Elders. There is much to discuss.” The group’s been walking for twenty minutes when the cave starts to change. The passageway broadens to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. Audible over the sound of the water are several high pitched voices shouting at each other. Uri whispers “I do not believe those are undead” If you peer into the cave you see three small blue humanoids screeching at each other. A giant insect winds its way in between. Behind the creatures a passage exits the chamber at a steep incline. Knowledge: Nature 10+:
The blue humanoids are Mites. Descended from the fey, mites are among the most pitiful and craven dwellers of the dark. Their stature places them at the bottom of the pile in the dangerous caverns in which they live. The one thing that gives them a significant edge over an enemy in a fight is their natural ability to empathize with normally mindless vermin—mites are particularly fond of spiders, centipedes, and cave fishers, and a mite colony usually has a few of these far more dangerous monsters on hand to defend the group.
The large insect is a Giant Centipede. These creatures adapt to many environments and feed voraciously on the local fauna, including humanoids. 15+:
When faced with dangerous foes, a mite uses its doom ability to hex them
The bite of a Giant Centipede carries a potent poison. It causes problems with a sufferer’s coordination If you guys want to come up with a plan go ahead. I’ll start us off tomorrow night.

Those who make the pilgrimage, we know there is danger. This though, we did not see. This...creature defiled those Gillmen. Defiled this cave. It is good that he caused his own death. It is better that you put those profane creatures down. I will release their bodies back to the waters. You have done us a great service.” ”As for that thing” he points to the severed head “It could work for the hunter’s ritual. The way I learned it, you kill a centipede and place it in the city there. The head of a monstrous man, maybe it works. Might be even better.” “What will you do now? Do you wish that I explain the other rituals? There are still creatures down the west tunnel. That also leads to an exit. Are you going that way? If there are more undead, I must go fight them. They profane the caves so I must deal with them”

After the surprise round one enemy goes first. Then Aislinn, Nimerah and Nixie can act in whatever order once it’s Aislinn’s turn. Then another enemy goes, then Leela and Rohini can act together, a couple of enemies go and we start the circle over again. Assuming anything is still alive ;) K. Religion for Undead
11+: These creatures are the shambling remains of the dead, brought to unlife through foul magic.
Most undead were once living. Knowing details about the phase of existence that preceded a creature's undeath is often invaluable in determining its motives. Holy water damages undead as though it were acid. Distributed by goodly religious orders the world over, holy water is the only line of defense against undead for many commoners. Undead are invariably evil, as are the means to create such beings. Undead are healed by negative energy and harmed by positive energy. Undead are immune to numerous magical effects, including mind-affecting effects and abilities that affect a creature's physical constitution.

But they do not so I can not.” “You asked if I would like them gone, sword-bearer? Yes. Too close to the waters for comfort. If you do this I will share what I know. Defending this place, I think it gives a different kind of wisdom. But, you do not need my help. You already have what you need to perform rituals. You do your people a credit, learning and then teaching land dwellers.” He turns to the rest of the group “You are welcome here. You and your non-pig” One side of his mouth quirks up. “These caves, they are sacred to us. This spring, it is sacred. The waters are pure. We mediate here for guidance. It was Aroden’s once, you can see his city there. But that was long ago. His magic is fading. So are his carvings. We Gillmen, we don’t care about Aroden, but we still respect what was once his. We do not make our carvings over his. If you wish to perform the old rituals to Aroden, you are welcome to.’ He twists around and points towards the exits on the opposite side of the room. “Those passages there.
