Hmmm... Now to convert Curse of the Crimson Throne to it!

That isn't a bad idea!

I have been working on converting the Rise of the Runelord AP into a CoC themed, modern adventure (set in future Kalamar, my setting of choice).
The Runelords are perfect as Elder Ones, buried deep in the earth and scattered about the globe. Skinsaw Men make a perfect CoC cult.
Throw in modern setting, equipment, weapons and TADA!

Your avatar is purty mean and ugly.

The sound and visual, viewed on a good home theatre system is incredible!

Michael Pare B**slapping the punk (Bill Paxton IIRC)with the switch blade in the beginning is a classic bad a** moment too.

I really want to thank the Paizo staff, and my fellow message board posters for bringing China Mieville and Perdido Street Station to my attention.

Basically everything I've heard about this book was through the pages of Dungeon, Dragon, Polyhedron or here on the messageboards, so I probably never would have read it otherwise.

Yes. Because of Dragon 352, featuring Perdido Street, I was introduced to a whole new direction of fantasy novels. Amazon links helped too but it all started with Paizo.

Yes, I love this movie too. I saw it in the theatre originally and have rented or owned it several times over the years.
It is cheesy but in a good way.

I am going to try incorporating Sandpoint/ Rise of Runelords into a Modern game (modern based on a fantasy setting, Kingdom of Kalamar).
Overall the idea of converting the entire theme of Runelord is intimidating but I think once I get a solid idea down it should flow.
I am going to make it Lovecraft-ish and the Runelords will probably be replaced with long buried aliens manipulating humans to release them from their prison.

Just took a listen on iTunes, I like! Any of their other albums compare to this, how about similar groups?

Just adding my support for d20 Modern/Future content.
Certainly not enough out there.

The more I think about Pathfinder the more excited I am for it now that the sadness over the end of Dragon and Dungeon mags has set in.

One question...if 50% is the adventure path, then only DMs will get to read all $20 worth of the mag each month.....won't this be a drawback to the bulk of potential subscribers?

I am just hearing this for the first time but I think the combination of an online and real life copy of the mag is a GREAT idea.
I am up in the air still about subscribing but this certainly pushes me in the "must-do" direction.

Iconic Character/Famous Fictional Character Stats would be a great section to add to DUNGEON every month. One page, just for fun, it would be interesting.

I am taking VoP in a campaign we occasionally play. I get tired of "kill, loot" gaming and wanted to try something different. The only bad thing so far is that I decided to take it after first level and now won't have the proper prereqs until about 5th level.
It is fun to play so far.

On another note, will touching the Black Egg with gloves or gauntlets prevent the character from becoming chaotic evil? The description says physical contact...

Depends how nasty you want to be to the PCs. Wrapping a blanket around Sauroman's orb (palminteer?)was enough to block its power in LOTR so gloves might stop you from becoming evil...maybe. Go ahead, try it.

Totally agreed with the praise of this movie. Robert and Frank should be very pleased and proud of this film.
I hope this opens the door to a Ronin movie in the future too.

I really like this section of the magazine. It comes in handy to have around during play for on-the-fly ideas and during prep time between sessions to plan and develop ideas. The Journey, the City, the Cast, etc. are all simple but very inspiring.
Thanks
