It's covered in a sidebar but unfortunately it's on page 9, separated from the actual chase.
Quote: Get to the Boat! uses the Chase subsystem rules. Each round can take up to several minutes to resolve as the PCs retrace their steps from Valashinaz’s temple, through the jungle, and back to the beach where their guide Arong awaits them on their vessel. At the start of the second round, the akatas enter the Chase at Temple Run and incessantly pursue the PCs until the creatures are barred by the saltwater surrounding Binoco Isle. If the PCs and the akatas start the round at the same obstacle, each PC takes damage as if they were hit by an akata’s jaws Strike. So if the party doesn't clear Temple Run in the 1st round they will all take 1d6+4 damage and so on.

Hi there, please cancel my AP subscription, I'm just not getting the time to play any more.

When do Paizo normally put their pdfs on sale? Do they go up at midnight PDT or do they wait until they opening hours start (10am?).

Sorry, have been lax looking at this thread, yep, Session 3 will be on Saturday (um, today) at the normal starting time of 8:00pm GMT.

@Oreofox Sounds good, I did invite a healer, but that person seems to have disappeared now. My email's andy.dowland@gmail.com so contact me there.

Hi there, sorry I haven't responded sooner, can't change the scheduling as I'm packed in quite tightly this week. But it's okay to skip a session.
I've managed to learn enough about Roll20 to import a map, work the turn tracker and make proper round tokens so Saturday's session should go a lot smoother.
An Adventurer's Journal sounds really good - any volunteers for that job?
By the way, TV Party's got a new job and so can't make the Saturday timeslot anymore so we're still in need of a healing type.

Just to confirm what LowRoller's said. The party consists of Oldswifty, LowRoller, Reshar, Axolmotl and QGloaf, TV Party is on deck. alternates Raavi and Supergran. Next session is next Saturday (March 16th) at 8:00GMT

The invite to the Roll20 campaign is https://app.roll20.net/join/84113/mu4vog
At the moment I've got character sheets for:
Oldswifty: Nibs and Gumbles
LowRoller: Aeryn
Reshar: Vincent
Qgloaf: Genrith and Duaran
We've had a group discussion and I'm raising the bar up to 20 points builds for everyone.

qgloaf wrote: Hmm... I'm thinking about making a summoner from a wealthy family with a bodyguard-like eidolon who seeks fame to be recognized as the worthiest heir from all of his brothers. Or something like that. Is this okay for you guys? Should I make something else? Sounds good to me. Some of the more traditional Chelish in town might not like the idea of a summoner in town, sounds too much like the nobles back in Cheliax but most wouldn't mind too much and coming from a rich family always helps.
The five noble families collectively own most of Sandpoint through their shareholdings in the Sandpoint Mercantile Consortium, the Deverin, Foxglove, Scarnetti, Valdemar and Kaijitsu families. If your character is on good terms with the rest of the family you might consider taking the Rich Parents trait (APG p.330) which increases your starting money to 900gp.
Oh, by the way, I missed out Varisia, Birthplace of Legends from the books allowed list, sorry about that.

qgloaf wrote: Aw. Allright then, time to make a character. I wanted to have a ratfolk necromancer or something like that but it looks like I'm gonna have to make a human if I want to be helping as much as it's possible. It's cool though, I already have some quirky character ideas for a seemingly normal human. Although... I like to complement other people's characters with mine so I might wait until two or more characters are posted - by the way, do we get to know each other's characters OOC before we start or not? Yes, you should know each other before you start, Willing to hear about other ideas, but there's lots of monuments and old ruins in the area and you've formed a group to search for them. The character with the most knowledge of Thassilon can have found a lead on one such dungeon, underneath a tower on the edge of the Devil's Platter just outside Sandpoint. But you need to be quick, there's already another group of adventurers in town, possibly seeking the same hidden treasures.

@axolmotl I thought that might get a little push back. As I put in the document it's to avoid the Star Wars Cantina effect and to make the demographics of the party match the demographics of the local area. If I were to do a Vault of the Drow campaign, it would be drow characters that get the biggest bonuses. I didn't want to do a campaign where all the player characters are things that most NPCs have never seen, certainly I've seen parties with dragonborn, genasi, tieflings, pixies and warforged and it's hard to keep that sense of the party belonging to a community. The idea came from old Shadowrun where if you wanted to play a Troll or Elf you had to accept a hit on skills and/or stats.
Though I'm not saying this of everyone who choses exotic characters, a lot of times it is to squeeze that last point of min/maxing. This way, if you want to play an exotic character for the flavour that's completely allowed, you just have a slightly weaker character in the ability scores. really, I hope that ability scores don't matter too much in this campaign, it's what you do with your character that matters more.

Character generation file is here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3913186/Delvers%20of%20the%20Lost%20Coast.pdf
If you could email me your characters to the email address in the document that would be grand.
@Axolmotl - If you've got a TARDIS anything that practically makes you an honorary Brit so no problem there.
@Lowroller - I'd like to keep it to a maximum six, but online games do have problems with drop outs so if you would like to do up a character and join us on Saturday evening, there'll likely be a seat for you.

I can't do Tuesdays either, and Wednesdays are quite often difficult.
All being well, I'll have a campaign document covering at least character generation ready before tomorrow morning.

Axolmotl wrote: As far as Roll20's A/V, I'm not entirely trusting of it, as it doesn't like to work for several people I play with. Earlier in the thread, we'd thought about using Skype for chat, and Roll20 for everything in-game. It may go a small bit slower, but then again, it also means people can be typing actions and dialogue in Roll20 while everyone else is making dumb jokes and talking about random things, or actually discussing things ooc. It seems to work for me, but I like your idea, Skype for chatting and Roll 20 for game stuff.

Okay, lots of stuff on the thread since I last read it:
@Reshar - I'd prefer not to run too late, but if you can only get on a bit late that's no problem. I'd assume that we wouldn't start right on time anyway.
@Shamlyn/Theron Smith 265 - There's no reason why I can't run a second table, but I would prefer to get the first one up and running first.
@Axolmotl - If you're in a RotR Adventure Path already, I think it would be confusing to be in another, I'm currently leaning towards a sandbox game, happening in Varisia (because I love that setting) while the events of Rise of the Runelords, Second Darkness, Curse of the Crimson Throne and (if it lasts that long) Shattered Star happen. Mild spoilers of the public events though I'll try and keep it to what's on the back cover blurbs of the APs.
@Oldswifty - Though I can do Thursdays, I can't do tomorrow as I already have plans
Type or voice? I was thinking that we were going to do video/audio with Roll20 as it should bring the speed of the game up closer to if we were sat around my dining room table. in that way typing can be a nice way to "pass a note to the GM" but it's up to the group how they want to engage with that.
Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber
I haven't turned my hand to the anniversary edition of RotR yet, so that sounds good to me. I do have the habit of starting an AP before the normal start of the AP so I'll get to writing something that can get you together as a team and deliver you to Sandpoint for the official start.
So how about setting a time, 8pm GMT this Saturday, I'll put on contact details on here before then, but I have to get to a tabletop game now.
Anyone want to call dibs on a type of character they want to play?
Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber
Oldswifty - happy to DM, but haven't ever played over the net before, so bear with me. I have explored Roll 20, and that seems to work okay.
Shamlyn - what days are good for you? I play tabletop on Tuesdays but Thursdays/Fridays/Sundays are all possibles. If Saturday goes well, I could run a second (virtual) table.
Okay, so we've got a group, but what do we want to play? Anyone got anything they really do want to have a go at? I've got all the adventure paths but can do something sandboxy too.

I would be interested in playing something on Saturdays. Don't know what timezones you're in, I'm in England so can't go too late but anything up to about 1am GMT (Eastern +5) is okay with me.
Doesn't seem to address mine. Namely the brushoff given to people who backed the first kickstarter but now can't back the second kickstarter. It's been suggested by some members that there will be other ways for Goblin Squad members to get into early enrolment but Ryan's not mentioned it. Now if there is another way to get in it's people who backed the second kickstarter who will be upset that their investment has been ignored. So I get the feeling that people like me don't count anymore now GW has tapped us out for money. So what's the point of being in the Goblin Squad.

Nihimon - I want to be clear about my problems with the 2nd kickstarter.
1) The surprise aspect, particularly as I thought the success of the 1st kickstarter meant that Goblinworks wouldn't need additional funding to bring PFO to market.
2) The timing, in six week period around Christmas seems to be the worst time of the year to ask for new money. It's particularly bad for me because a) UK folks don't do Thanksgiving so all our trips to visit family are around Christmas and b) I'm moving cities and jobs and will be dipping into my savings to cover things like moving fees as well. I can usually afford $100, but not right now unless I use my plastic and if I get into debt, it's not going to be for a game.
3) Because I can't pay right now, I'm not able to access a game that I really want to play and a game that I've supported in the past in the first kickstarter until an estimated 2 years after I could if I paid $100 right now. That doesn't feel right especially when people who haven't supported the first kickstarter but support the second get in. (I know I've got the awesome Thornkeep but you know what I mean). If I'd known that there was a 2nd kickstarter then I may have held back some of my cash to drop into this one.
I don't have a problem with the paying subs during beta/early access/call it what you will. As long as the game's playable and I'm having fun playing it then of course I should be paying for my entertainment.
Finally I do have a problem with the tone that seems to be developing that if you're not backing Kickstarter 2 then you're not a big enough fan of PFO and Paizo. That's simply not the case, everyone here wants PFO to be a huge success, including me.
@Ryan Thanks for answering. I'm not sure why I feel uneasy about this kickstarter, but maybe it's because I dropped $75 on the first one and now I have to drop $100 at Christmas to be able to play PFMMO any time before early enrolment.
I'm not saying you've lost me as a customer, but I'll have to think if I'm throwing good money after bad.

Ryan, I feel a little bit grumpy about the second kickstarter. It makes me feel that the first kickstarter was a waste of time. I could be missing the point, but the idea of funding the technology demo was to have something to show investors and the level of goodwill shown by the support for the first kickstarter would show investors that this was going to work.
Now we're being told that we have to be the investors because PFMMO is too outside the box for investors. So was the first kickstarter a waste of time? Will there be a third Kickstarter to get this thing released?
woo hoo
(I'm going to look silly if it doesn't show up)
What do Goblinworks want to do with any cash over the $50k because you're going to get way more than $50k :)

Need to report the same issue, both the Jade Regent Player's Guide and #49 (One PDF version) freeze Preview after about 10 seconds of use. They can usually be force quit but on one occasion I had to do a full restart. Haven't checked all the older files, but Kingmaker Player's Guide Advanced Players Guide both froze. Both files definitely worked fine on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, it's only since upgrading to Lion that the problem's happened.
The affected files also freeze if you open them in Safari. As far as I can tell all my other pdfs and my own scanned documents are fine. However I don't seem to have any other products that have been produced in InDesign CS5 or CS5.5.
I'm really no expert but the PDF looks like it's freezing when it's having difficulty rendering something in the PDF. I've got a mid-2011 iMac i5 when opening Jade Regent Players Guide, the CPU usage goes up to 200% very quickly (it's a quad core so 200% is 2 cores) and a little after that freezes. If I open up a pdf that's a similar size then that runs at about 8% CPU when not scrolling and rendering and a maximum of 30% when scrolling and rendering.
It's unfair to blame Paizo for something that's clearly not your fault, the files did work fine before, but can you look into this for your subscribers please.

Can I use PayPal?
Not directly, but PayPal has a "Secure Card" program that lets US customers create single-use or multiple-use MasterCard numbers that function just like a MasterCard from our side, but draw from your PayPal account on your side. See PayPal's site for details. (If you're setting up a subscription, please provide a multiple-use account number.)
the issue is that, especially with subscriptions, paypal policies require you to charge within x hours/days or making an authorization, while some Piazo subscriptions or preorders are shipped/charged a week+ after the authorization. That's cool if someone's in the US, but what about people who aren't?
