Map looks good to me DMVoV - Crux spells prepared as per standard (unless advised otherwise) The corpulent mage hunkers down behind rubble, his lips pursed and readied to speak the fell enchantments that may bring his Blackhearts greater prizes... Oh to flay the hallowed skin of this Lillend... to taste its flesh... succulent... Will its purity be bitter upon my tongue I wonder? Or will it be a sensation of organismic properties... Cruxcarr stifles a moan and licks the air involuntarily. Patience. Yess... the best dishes are those prepared over time and enjoyed at leisure... Shifting his bulk he awaits signs that their guests have arrived...

The corpulent wizard nods sagely wearing an expression of mock indignation; "Mi'Dre! Of course it shall survive... I have a number of necrotic incantations prepared that will mute its senses, limit its threat and cause it immense suffering... without taking its life..."

Your mind is particularly hard to compel. Benefit: +1 racial bonus on Will saves to resist spells and spell-like abilities of the enchantment (charm) and enchantment (compulsion) schools. In addition, if they fail such a save, they receive another save 1 round later to prematurely end the effect (assuming it has a duration greater than 1 round). This second save is made at the same DC as the first.

Cruxcarr looks at Mi'Dre in theatrical shock, answering the devil with a saccharine tone to his words; "My dearest Mi'Dre... arcane scrolls and wands take time to craft, to fashion, to prepare... I have been harvesting raw materials in readiness to manufacture such items... That and the workings of my golem have piqued my interest somewhat..."
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Potential plans for this upcoming scrap with the treehuggers... Have the Boggard's dance round the treant bonfire to attract the elves and their ally... Hel's teeth we can just use them as patsies if needbe... then when the faerie brigade arrive we spring the trap and butcher the lot of them? Hopefully the drug addled orgy of violence that Shen's boggard concubine bodyguards bring, combined with our own nefarious talents will swing the balance our way?
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Cruxcarr smiles again when Shendalyn offers tactical concern; "I heartily agree the elves could pose us problems, if not for the fact they were dealing with a tribe of boggard's and their decedent field general... Not to mention all the welcome pets said field general can summon..." The hemothurge licks his lips in anticipation before continuing; "The creature's song is its greatest weapon and boon, my necrotic magicks shall stymie its use, allowing us to wreak havoc on the creature and its pathetic allies... yesss?"
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
The corpulent bloatmage wipes some blood from his worn apron as his eyes narrow in scrutiny of Mi'Dre's question; "Alas I have little magicks in the way of deception or subterfuge... we hemothurges are more... direct... However I do have a necrotic enchantment that withers and destroys plantlife." Cruxcarr absent-mindedly traces a sigil of Sin with the blood as he ponders the group's options: "Indeed... Use of such magic on precious foliage would possibly attract the attentions of this azata and the trap sprung?"
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Crux would have used the relevant Knowledge skill - Planes is +10, rather than +9 for Nature so hoping I get ot interchange the skill for a 30 result :) Cruxcarr nods sagely with a sycophantic smile; "Oh and climb you must Mi'Dre... perhaps this lillend the elf spoke of would suffice?" I plan to wait until he is under the influence before bothering him ;)
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Damn... ninja'd by the boss :) Cruxcarr smirks at Mi'Dre's retort, then administers the magicks of his wand; its Infernal Revivification taking affect... Crux can also Intimidate (Aid Another): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 if necessary to glean more... Blindness/Deafness; Scroll of Interrogation which we could also bring to bear? After the torture he graciously thanks the devil, afore turning thoughts to the elf's information. "A pleasure as always Mi'Dre..." Cruxcarr will try and discern more on the nature (cough - vulnerabilities) of the lillend: "A lillend... most interesting..." Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Cruxcarr seems to shiver in delight as they discuss the questioning and torture of the elf; "Indeed Master Devarre, you intimate knowledge of the body is a boon... As for my humble role - well the thigh or back of this exquisite creature should provide ample "material" for my works..." The wizard smiles afore clapping his hands together excitedly; "Bonding over a spot of wanton torture! Just what we all need to bring us... closer my Blackheartssss... and I too have certain... magicks that should prove useful in our endeavors!" The mage then lumbers after Mi'Dre and Jethryk sporting a needle-toothed grin.

Yeah - its doing my nut in! Am hoping the provider will send a Tech by Wed to resolve... BTW factored into the revamp a Wand of Infernal Healing - given we're an Albina short. Currently carried by the corpulent one... Other more fun wands can come as we collect funds and raw materials. Speaking of Albina - we any further forward with recommendations for her replacement?

As Mi’Dre unveils his gift, Cruxcarr’s eyes glitter with licentious intent. The corpulent hemothurge keenly approaches the bound elf, his bulk shifting in a rare show of vigour: ”Oh Mi’Dre you truly indulge us with this gift…” As he hisses his words, Cruxcarr caresses the skin of their captive, its softness clearly meeting with the felmongere's exacting standards as the touch elicits a soft moan of pleasure from the fell wizard; ”Flawlessly exquisite… yessss..." The mage composes himself, lips whetted in anticipation as he leers at the bound elf before addressing his companions in Infernal; "Dicendum, quod incipere a quaerendo nigra cor meum ... Mitte lingua primum est? Cute quod ..." Translation: "We should initiate our questioning my Blackhearts... Loosen the tongue first eh? The skin later..."

Time to step up - Crux has been way too quiet... Retconning into above timeline... As Mi'Dre hunts for elves, Cruxcarr busies his time by harvesting some of the treant's oaken form. The Initiate Bloatmage leers as his rough hands caress the fallen giant's branches and limbs; "Excellent... A decent sized piece of this brute's lumber will suffice for what I have in mind... However I do so lament that pronounced genitalia is missing on this species..." Once satisfied he has made the right selection the corpulent wizard returns to The Horn with his prize and sets about crafting the raw materials into a wand imbued with fell magicks... Cruxcarr will being the process of crafting a Wand of Defoliate (might be useful in undertaking Project: Isengard on the surrounding forest nei?) Given the opportunity the hemothurge whispers to Mi'Dre that if he captures an elf they could entertain themselves with its tender flesh and soul before perhaps using the soft skin for scrolls and slender bones for a wand (specifically Wand of Interrogate for Mi'Dre)
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Crux is almost done - reworked his spells and skills to assist the group more. Also selected Craft Wand as his 5th level class feat... So look for some juicy Wands being whipped out by the corpulent one... Wand of Interrogate for Mi'Dre ;)

The "corpulent form" being Cruxcarr? Rest of you suggests this was a group bonding session... thus "passes without incident" is ambiguous - and perhaps a tale for another day ;)

Mi'Dre setting off on his own does not sit well with Cruxcarr... should the devilkin fall his skin would be lost... The corpulent wizard eyes the brazen Ga'av with curious eyes; "Elves are notorious hunters also Mi'Dre... should they discover you, they will track or hunt you... but the intelligence you could gather would be considerable..." Cruxcarr licks his fingers of the boggard blood; "However it is your own skin you risk somewhat selflessly... would be a pity to lose it and you to a sub-species such as elves"
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Cruxcarr examines the dead boggard, fat fingers gently probing the arrow holes as he extols his frustration; "Tsk-tsk-tsk! A perfectly good skin spoiled by these punctures... Indications are indeed of Elvish origin... Now they will have complexions to die for..." The rotund mage rises, tittering at his own joke in a voice too high for such a large man. He then beckons Hogbart over with a smile; "Be a dear and lick my fingers clean Hogbart... Tell me what you taste...mmmmm"

Okay regardless I'll do a re-jig on Crux for the necro-bent (as a theme not sexual preference) - perhaps this time I'll get a satisfactory build for him. The zombie chain gang is genius and we can re-animate servants/hirelings and passing vans of pesky teens as fodder. Will nail this down over the weekend - work is dropping the hammer at present so won't have time for a Crux-redux.
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Depending on who (what) we recruit - I could also retool Crux to provide some buffing and with perhaps a more necromantic bent? Am still struggling to find his "niche" in terms of crunch so no biggie for me to rebuild. Would allow us some flexibility regardless??

Welcome back evil Overload! :) Just a heads up to everyone that I'm heading over to Norway for a Easter break from this Thursday (17th) through to Sunday. Will likely be off the grid during this time, so DMPC Crux as required to keep things ticking over.

Cruxcarr wants to pull together more resources for his golem. He's a few levels away from actually getting the thing up and running. Apart from that the gluttonous one will require mixed and varied "materials" for his fellmongering... so more than happy to find a nice orphanage, church or invite some pilgrims to supper ;) Work room sounds peachy heh. Uber Mi'Dre doubly so...

Cruxcarr turns his attention back to the bloody corpse of the fallen elemental... Rummaging through his equipment the corpulent wizard produces an iron pot and a number of iron vials... He then sets about enthusiastically wringing elemental viscera into the receptacles; The iron pot will hold 1 gallon of blood in total, whilst the iron vials each can take 1 ounce of the precious liquid. Based on his knowledge of the Elemental Golem's workings the hemothurge calculates if more harvesting would be required; Knowledge (Arcana): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

Cruxcarr mulls the rituals with interest; "What Master Shawn is hinting at, is that any minions or servitors will be of great use to us in the tasks to come. Particularly those of great power and utilisation yesss?" Cruxcarr will take 10 on any Knowledge skills pertinent to the rituals or the creatures they would "birth"... The corpulent wizard smiles sagely at the potential the rituals could present: "Using the daemon's as terpsichoreans will be an interesting spectacle indeed... though I trust it shall be a danse macabre they shall conduct? Never-the-less Hellhounds offer the potential of guard canines of a highly effective calibre... The Mudmen useful deterrents and sentries for bothersome guests whilst my own pet project of the golem will provide me... (ahem) us with an assassin borne of mechemical magicks!"
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Cruxcarr smiles slyly at the discord amongst his fellow Knot; "Come come now my Blackhearts. Can we not exercise both caution and abandon? When making a refined dish of prime... thew with a rare sauce; ingredients have to be harvested, prime meat procured and a chef's creative... whimsy's indulged..." Hooking his thick fingers into his belt of leering demon faces the bloated wizard's eyes glitter with belligerence before continuing; "...Indeed we have a ritual most foul to undertake... however this is also our time my blackhearted loves... We should begin to build our own influence here... fortify, machinate, corrupt and conquer... yessss?"
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Cruxcarr's glitter with nefarious possibilities at Mi'Dre's words; "Oh most indubitably my darling Mi'Dre... We merely need to ring the dinner bell and the Mitran's will come calling... We are after all cordial neighbours are we not?" The corpulent wizard chuckles to himself as he wanders over to the bowl. As he mulls its possibilities, the hemothurge's sharp tongue absentmindedly flicker across his plump lips; "Any fluid... becomes most unholy... How... temptingly intriguing..."
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Hovering slightly above the ground and flanked by a corpulent incorporeal hand, Cruxcarr smiles as he tastes the tang of raw electricity fill the chamber; "Deliciousssss. Quite the foe is it not my blackhearts?" The mage draws a scroll from his belt and utters its incantation; "Érezd a simogatás, a halottak!" Infernal:
Feel the caress of the dead! Casts Chill Touch from scroll and use Spectral Hand for touch attack... Chill Touch (Spectral Hand): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Round 2 Cruxcarr floats at a distance from the crackling elemental, his eyes balefully narrow as it shrugs off his first enchanted gambit. Summoning practiced words of power into his mind, the hemotheurge brings forth magicks designed to slow their enemy's actions Casts Slow; "Dhurata e përtaci I lë trashëgim për ty" ("The gift of sloth I bequeath to thee") DC17 Will Save or Slowed for 6 rounds

Not sure how far away the creature is DMVoV Cruxcarr flies slightly upward then brings to bear one of the more nefarious spells at his disposal; Fly within range (40ft), then cast Howling Agony at the creature... Howling Agony (DC20 Fort Save to resist: You send wracking pains through the targets’ bodies. Because of the pain, affected creatures take a –2 penalty to AC, attacks, melee damage rolls, and Reflex saving throws, and must succeed at a concentration check (DC equal to the DC of this spell) to cast spells. However, if an affected creature spends a move action screaming as loudly as possible, it can act without any other penalties for the remainder of its turn. “Screaming,” for the purposes of this spell, includes any vocalization of pain or its telepathic equivalent; creatures that cannot scream (such as creatures without the natural ability to communicate or vocalize) suffer the full effect of the spell.
Male Human Wizard Thassilonian Sin Magic Specialist (Gluttony) 6
Crux will cast Fly from a scroll on Jethryk no probs He has mentioned that the ritual of scroll casting involves the oiling of the recipients chiselled torso with the reduction sauce made from the buttock fat of 12 vestal virgins lol...
