Imagine their surprise when young Crea-Asp was born. From simple Edjet parents a black scaled Stone Dragonkin. This was surely an open, that the youth was destined for something special.
When he was of age, his father Luth-Asp arranged to have him inducted into the Edjet Caste of the Mahorti Empire. He quickly exelled at every task put before him, and became master of both the assegai and the Chakram, among the many more common weapons. But, his true love was armor. His scales were thicker, and more dense than those of similar age and rank, and while his contemporaries were fascinated with mastering multiple weapons, young Crea was constantly looking for ways to improve his armor. This dedication did not go un-noticed.

During his final months of training, before being assigned to the legions of foot soldiers, he was summoned to a meeting in the commanders tent. Waiting there was a man who introduced himself as Captain Mool-Frk. He mentioned that he saw great potential in the young Dragonkin, and explained that he was in command of a special legion of Edjet known as the Order of the Adamantine Scale. This unit was based in Harkesh, and specialized in finding the greatest armor available, and adapting it for use.

The youth jumped at the chance to pursue his passion, and quickly agreed to join the unit. He spent another 2-years training how to best use armor, and special fighting techniques utilizing heavy armor. He was introduced to the units special ceremonies which allowed him to reach deep into himself, and call forth his ancestral blood, allowing him to boost his battle skills for periods of time. While training he learned the special nickname given to members of his unit by the Edjet warriors... The Steelblood.

Finallly Captain Mool-Frk called Crea-Asp to his office to discuss continuing his training. He explained that he had learned the basics of his unit, and now needed to venture forth into the world, and explore. When his unit was needed for war he could be recalled at any time, but rather than sit in Harkesh wasting his skills, that he should do as all young Steelblood's do, and venture forth into the world, seeking out perfection in Armor use and techniques.

So the young man left, and now he explored the world in search of armored perfection.
