![]() Chaactrimei nods along as he keeps driving the taxi. "Maintenance work you say, very interesting, might find a lot of that style of work here as well if you're interested!" he says, answering Boccos. "The place you're going is the Khefak Depot, it lies at the centre of sprawling fields of wrecked Starships! It used to be a ranch for Khefaks, but now it's a place full of Junk, commonly called Junker's Delight. It's a now a tourism and expedition business, from hotels and restaurants to guided tours and junk-hunting expeditions! Plenty of options for all" "Ah that's very nice Doctor, always nice to see friends everyday, and meeting back again after a while!" Chaactrimei turns his attention to the Doctor. "A school friend? Wow that is a long time, I'm glad you're finally catching up, I seem to be forever stuck in the age-old, "let's sync diaries"" Chaactrimei says wistfully, shaking his head. "Ah, a protector of Absalom, that sounds important and valuable! I'm glad Sully has a friend like you, I doubt you'll find my trouble here however. But if you do, Sully will be glad I'm sure!" And as Chaactrimei answers, his vehicle speeds toward a growing glare of tall structures. Grand buildings—impossibly clean considering the fine grit choking the air—ring the outer edge of Khefak Depot. Flashy signs for accommodations and entertainment adorn every surface. As Chaactrimei drives deeper into town, glossy facades quickly fade into huddles of dust stained buildings. Mountains of crashed starships and other junk stretch behind them. Piles of metal, glass, plastic, and countless other materials glint in the light of the burning sun. Khefak Depot appears quite busy. Many wheeled vehicles trundle through the streets, some of which wind through junk mounds. Vendors hawk their wares on corners and haggle with customers. Chaactrimei pulls up to a curb and says, “End of the line. It’s been a real pleasure driving you folks. Hope you find what you’re looking for here.” With a wave, the shirren departs, his vehicle emitting a cloud of exhaust. ![]()

![]() Sully (CG male shirren) is an elderly veteran of the war against
He has paid for you all to travel to Maro, a bustling metropolis clinging to one side of a massive chasm known as the Edaio Rift. You all get picked up by a driver, a friendly shirren called Chaactrimei (NG male shirren), and you leave the trench city in a single land vehicle. It will take several days to grind eastward across the planet’s dusty, red rocks. Chaactrimei has transported folks all across Akiton, so he can answer questions you might have about the planet. "So, I got to ask, what are you all doing here? And how do you know Sully?" Chaactrimei asks as you all pile into the car. Feel free to introduce yourselves, and explain how exactly you got to Akiton, and ask any questions you want. ![]()

![]() Hey all (Jyskos here) I've been asked by Numbat to post here that they apologise that there has been no movement in the game, but they are dealing with a personal emergency right now, and as such, this PBP has taken a backseat. In due time, when everything has calmed down, it will resume, but until then, apologises and thank you for your understanding. ![]()
![]() Hi all, Would to play a Starfinder PBP AP! Happy to play any character/class etc as needed or happy to join a group. Already Played/Playing (so a no-go):

![]() Just going through this so far. One question. B4: The Fallen Dragon imparts the PC with a fraction of the Dragon's Power which functions Identically to a Mk 2 Personal Upgrade (Mk 3 in Tier 13-14) Does this happen IN ADDITION to the Personal Upgrade the PC already has? Can it upgrade a Mk 1 to a Mk 2 (or Mk 3)? ![]()

Hey hey :P gotta fight us for that right! At least the Netherlands and Germany have dibs called already - but there is still a lot of Europe left for us all to fight over! (And I mean...if there is one thing Europeans are good at...it's fighting each other over other bits of Europe ;) ) I'm super excited for this change as well! Means I can also get to 10 quicker (not just need to do a few of these and hit the remaining tables and I'm there!) -also...grrr it doesn't show my 4th Nova...grumble grumble- ![]()
![]() Firstly, thanks for the work you do Shifty, moved away from Sydney 3 years back, so can understand all the bushfires etc keeping ya busy. Secondly, I wanted to mention that Paizo's rule this year has been "if you were running a game in meatspace, that went online, then it's still meatspace technically." We run our games online in the Netherlands, and still use RSP as they were from a physical location forced online, so even though we get internationals, they get access to our RSP too. I did 2 Evaluations at GenCon because it would have been meatspace, and had 2 non-Online VCs do my evals. We have a Convention coming up in October (humble advertising) and thinking of doing my 3rd eval somewhere near there. I was also hit by the nerf to Free RPG day games too so I feel that, but there are still options! Australia will be back to normal before the rest of us so once you're back from Domestic duties, hop online and find some non-online VCs to do your evals. Easy done mate :) Hope that helps explain stuff too :) ![]()
![]() Blake's Tiger wrote: So if you have someone calling a maraquoi "he" or "she," who otherwise addresses the players respectfully and with the correct genders, how much of an issue should you make out of it during the session and how much can/should OP regulate it. Yeah, a side note to this, as I have a player who plays a Maraquoi and is the gender that does nothing but stands there, but is needed to be there otherwise stuff doesn't happen. They always state at the start that they don't care what they are called, he/she/it/other/hey you etc. But it is fully stated to everyone and they understand. We have people who forget (I mean people still say Pathfinders when they mean Starfinders) but I agree, if it's intentional, that's not really ok. But how much can/should we do? Looking for guidance in case it ever happens to me as well. ![]()
![]() First World Bard wrote: Anyone remember back when Warhorn implemented time zones and then put everyone in the Pacific time zone? ![]() Hey John, Check the Starfinder Society Guild Guide 2.0, it has the answers in there! No need for spoilers. It can be found here - Page 40 ![]()
![]() Hi guys, Just wanted to clarify something, the map on page 8, and the description on page 9 of area "A1" don't make sense to me. It says "This area is bordered to the south by a 20ft high, 2ft thick escarpment of pure ice created by a combination of the elementals and the recent storm, which the PCs must breach in order to access the condenser in area A2." Where is this on the map? Am I just being blind? ![]()

Hey HoloGnome, just to help me understand, what is your question here? The BioChem weapon ignores armour protection, but life bubble blocks it as per the spell. So any PC with Life Bubble is then immune to this effect. Just trying to understand what your question is here please? :) ![]()

I thought that red Vesk was familiar ;) -puts tin foil away!- Kishmo wrote: Just to add to this: on the stream, they were saying that the observation was that there wasn't a lot of appetite for high tier tables at Cons; after a year of 2-00, very few cons are able to support even 1 high-tier table. That, combined with the more "personal" scope and feel of Season 2 so far, warranted a more targeted, lower tier experience for the 3-00 special. Also to add to this point, while I very much appreciate a high table, what with having such a limited player pool, sometimes having a high tier is at the detriment of our other tiers, so I don't mind that it's 1-8 in this case. ![]()
![]() John Mangrum wrote: And now a question: In the Kozmos club, it's possible to notice that each of the verthani bartenders has an X-shaped scar on their palm. Was there something more here? I believe (and the way I've always run it) that this is indicate loyalty to Bogdin. Because in the sentence after, it mentions the Vesk Bouncers who have no loyalty to him, they are just hired muscle. My players made a big deal out of it, but when I told them they spotted no such mark on the Vesk, they figured it was to do with the club itself. But that's just my own interpretation. ![]()
![]() Kevin Willis wrote: For these checks, I think it’s kinda assumed that most parties will have Luku with them (lowering the DC by 5). Three attempts at DC 32 is far more likely to have one success. My big gripe is that there’s no benefit for success (or penalty for failure). I like it when succeeding at really hard checks gives you a +1 or +2 on something later in the scenario. But this is the issue, I ran it for Kwinten, and they all tried this check, and not enough of them made it to get Luku with them. So having it "kinda assumed" is rubbish, as in reality there is a big chance they just roll badly and don't make it, then they are stuck with DC37s. ![]()
![]() Ok, so there is a major typo and I want clarification on what it should read. Page 20 for 4 player adjustment: "Both Subtiers: Reduce the Perception DC, Disable DC, and attack bonus of the laser blast trap by 21" I assume this means reduce it by 2 right? Because 21 is ridiculous. Also, if B6 and B7 are the same, do the comm units say exactly the same thing as well? |
