May be downgrade but how many times do you get to be your own dad and a dragon demigod?

Alright I'm back just got home lol
so its outlawed magic more to the point of shoot on site so mages have dwindled less and less being born hence rare or low magic

I like the idea of the church king outlaweing the magic (church runs everything)
And like the idea of pet mages

So each 'squad' of mage-hunters might have one mages and a couple martial mages might be a buffer or healer

If the PC's go imperial they will be a squad of magehunters if rebel they will have to fight several squads who might get larger due to rising threat ...

This allows me to equip baddie martials (or good martials) with big boy toys while still limiting what I allow

Some classes wouldn't be allowed like summoner for one can't quite think of the others for now and some of archetypes will be limited

Evil act for sure, although, I don't know if it's worth shifting the players directly to Evil, maybe Neutral.

To give you a bit of comparison, my group had recently killed a lizardfolk barbarian in front of his mate. The mate, helpless and heartbroken, kneeled over and hugged her fallen mate and sobbed over him. The NE necromancer of the group decided to have some fun, he used animate dead on the Lizardfolk to turn him into a zombie, put his arms around her to hug her, and then squeeze her to death.

The rest of the party, all chaotic neutral, laughed. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to shift them all to CE.

This made laugh made my day lol

So could I just ask them for a general list of stuff they want and make sure it drops. Off something

I took a arrow to the knee .. ok not really

After a million and 2 paladin falls threads I decided to help people out these are just somethings I've seen a paladin fall for:

Someone sneezed and he didn't say 'deity' bless you

Mind control

Forgot to clean up his room before adventuring

And bard with a whip trip...

Stairs

And flat surfaces

If anyone else has anything that has made a paladib fall comment below

Humor could be a pretty feasible candidate, if that's an emotion you'd consider trying to illicit. Inject just enough realism when players expect serious fantasy and they'll probably appreciate the humor. Timing is key here. You want them to kick in the door expecting the BBEG, to instead find the janitor who honestly has no idea what goes on there, he just cleans up after hours.

This...

Especially if bbeg is a wizard and the 'janitor' is a mouse (ratfolk) that is using mass prestidigination to make mops and brooms clean on their own ...

Could you buy a permanent shrink item boulder to use as a weapon?

Granted it's 7500 per rock (I think diamonds are genuinely cheaper) but then with a single word the rock becomes a 2 ton boulder, or half a house or some such. This has the advantage of it being not any rock, but YOUR rock.

Now how to get around the limitation of only the original caster being able to do that...

Shrink it to a pebble sized rock go to bad Guy he laughs at you toss you pebble half way to him enlarge said pebble giant rock buries him so deep into ground/wall/friends armor is trash money is squished and he himself is about half a inch think... but you don't care cause you still got your pet rock bob

Edit: By the way I would allow this kinda concept/ build if I was GM because
A) it has mostly rP
B) its awesome concept
C) I would probably have rock 'damage' armors and such
D) I would love to play this
5) I would take leadership pet rock 'bob'

So one thing I liked from vanilla wow is you had to visit your trainer you.don't just automatically know how to cast that wonky spell that just knocked the socks off that big ugly dude gotta learn it

So couple questions:
Has anyone tried this. Simple most asked question on this board but experience is best

Would you mind having to find a trainer to "level up"

What are some ways to impliment the "training." Was thinking if a divine thing the 'god'can bestow the knowledge I guess I dunno

Would it cost? After all nothing is really free

Would it take time? Game or real life
How long would you have it take? 1d10minutes? Rounds?days?

Where would trainer be located?

That's all I got for now will be back with more (questions/ideas/concerns)

Thanks in advanced

If the little girl doesn't "want" to be black blooded due to complications with townsfolk and PC does let them.go on a quest to retrieve some stupidly rare stuff perform a ritual where he "takes" the evilness (or however yoou describe it) from her into.him let him either keep his old powers or replace the and have the little girl "choose" a different one

Note: dunno bout the class or archetypes or whatever but that would be my thought makes char feel special fun plot hooks and you get to be awesome GM again for allowing stuff

I agree with link him this page and when all you do is talk to him he should feel lucky lol (considering alternative where his char is stomped on by giants then a wand shoved I his eye

137b the hearing was a week from yesterday due to lack of attendance was found guilty now must (redeem/outrun/kill/bribe) your way out of this

You inherent a bank account (assuming you have banks in your game) that all it has in it is a map that leads to local job board and a note that says "git off ya bum and git a job"

Succubus always fun to "wrestle" ... I know someone else was thinking it I just said it lol

I dunno if you can get away with him being undead, but vampires are the kings/queens of making mortals into their b~#*$es. Dominate person plus charisma bonuses make them an excellent template to add to a bard who specializes in manipulating people. Problem is detectability, but I'm sure there's some magic means to manage this. Technically all this BBEG would need is a solid disguise check, so a hat of disguise would do the trick for the most part. And, of course, if cover's blown, just bust out some dominate and let the PCs fight each other for a bit.

Oh, man! That is SO tempting! I had plans for a dandy style character that would turn out to be a vampire, I could just merge the two instead! Now the big question is; is his companion another vampire or keep her a succubus? Him being a spellcaster,... oh damn. Just checked, Protective Pemumbra isn't a Bard spell.

Ok, even bigger question; what ways could I have him walking around in broad daylight if he's a vampire? The party already met him and he walked across a courtyard in the full sun with no shade or visible damage, so he needs something to make him immune to the sun. Suggestions?

I agree with vampire bard lol give him a ring of sunprotection it's practically usless if you aren't a vampire so it won't sell for enough to disrupted wbl or have it only work to the person it's bound to (this case vampire dude)

We treat it like magic item crafting

  • Mundanes can't do it without a feat
  • must purchase materials in advance
  • You're not allowed to make a profit from it. WBL is there for a reason
  • Not even an option in Society play
  • If it gets interrupted it's ruined for the day
  • 8 hours per day in an ideal environment... max.
  • Cannot make progress while fatigued
  • You can break it up into small increments while travelling but its at half effectiveness
  • A rope trick is not an ideal environment for it
  • If you're gonna do it, you can't just do it for yourself. You have to help the WHOLE PARTY
  • Funner to play with the band or in a duet than a solo performance trust me imma bard I know these things

    knowledge: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21

Edit: had to roll a 6 lol luckily barely passed ;)

I'm not sure about mechanically, but thematically Bard/Ninja is a pretty rediculous concept...

Granted theres 'ninja who's false reputation is that of an entertainer' but singing for combat bonuses while at the same time trying to be sneaky seems hillarious to me.

I loudly sing the songs of sneaky death.

This one falls under rediculous theme more than 'rediculously powerful'.

Spelling this one out practically in game terms means having a character who's like the siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp or the Cheshire Cat from Wonderland... A mesmerizing slightly insane little tune while your character pops in and out of view with a maniacal gaze and a maniacal grin.

Crunk... iz he singing his own theme song... Bum bum bummmmmmmmmmmm

I need... Go into forest kill/find/bring me ...

We need more space go clear out church...houses... That is over run with...

    Any more thoughts would help

So I want to do a job board in the inn or tavern where the players can look at what's available and choose a mission based off those (small missions not major plot line mission)

What mission ideas with reward does everyone have?

Has any one tried this what was outcome?
