Yeah. They chose to blindside themselves. They deserve no sympathy whatsoever.

So... do we think the Crimson Reclaimers are working for Ragathiel, Arazni, a weird Pantheon of both, or something else?

I think there's a good chance that, whoever the Crimson Reclaimers think they're working for, they're wrong.

Honestly, I want a god of good or reformed undead before we get another evil undead god. Tar-Baphon has already proven that he's perfectly dangerous as "standard" undead. I don't think they need to elevate him to godhood in order to make him seem like a threat.

Is there going to be any advice on good aligned undead in this book? What kind of deities they'd worship, etc? It's hard to believe the entire undead population of Geb is evil!
