Corvus appears a little lost. She was used to her Master asking her advice from time to time, but this is the first time she's been in such a situation where she is expected to take part of the lead. She breathes deeply and her body stiffens noticeably. "Agreed. I don't want to go back to the others with what we have so far. There's a lot more to be found out if we just ask the right questions." Gather Information 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 Perception - as she doesn't want leave them vulnerable 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Corvus frowns at Kael's words but her neutral expression quickly returns. "Our training covers many facets but we were both Padawan. My Master was a skilled negotiator - but I am not him." As she speaks the last sentence, her voice betrays her sadness. "Our knowledge of the Force always ensures we are more perceptive than the average person - and this is an admirable trait in any negotiations. Plus, those we counsel are never quite sure what we can tell from our use of the Force. I have a wide range of knowledge that never hurt to check if someone is telling the full truth and therefore may be useful. And I would say that I was above average at treating the injured. As you point out, however, that does not make me a doctor."
Mr. Marius wrote: “Thank you for assisting Maya and me in our escape. Are any of you injured? It’s the least I could do.” Looking pointedly at the Gran, “Does anyone have a med pac or med kit?” Corvus fumbles with her utility belt. "Apologies for not offering it sooner," she says as she hands a medpac to Mr. Marius.
Corvus' inner dialogue has kept her quiet thus far, but finally she speaks. "I am honour bound to serve. Previously it would have been the Order but with that no longer in existence," she pauses to take a sideways glance at Kael, "I think we Jedi need to find an appropriate cause and let people know we still have something to say about the future of this galaxy." "What I'm trying to say is, count me in." She smiles a weak smile and then straightens up, glancing around the group. "And it's great to no longer be alone."

I know - my bad. I posted and then couldn't see the posting. I must have switched to this forum at that point and effectively re-posted. Sorry...
On the combat discussion, I like it the way we ran it. As a rule, if I'm low on initiative, I will give a couple of options early on - rather than wait for my turn. Similarly, if someone posts before me with a lower initiative (like Kael this time around), I will change my preferred actions to suit the party i.e. Kael went for the person I would have picked, so I switched to the nearest stormtrooper. I'll be honest and admit that I may not have changed my mind had his rolls been terrible. It's a little meta-gaming I suppose, but it keeps the game running smoothly.
Corvus remains a spectator. The recent activity took her back to a time when, at her master's side, she took her role as a Jedi very seriously. This was a time when stormtroopers were on her side and even deferred to her and other Jedis. Now she was standing amongst a group of strangers and sharing information that could easily end her life at the hands of Skywalker's Jedi-hunters. And if a Jedi as strong as Skywalker can turn to the dark side, what hope for her and Kael. As his words barely register in her melancholy, she is aware conversations have been going on since she arrived and she couldn't recall a single sentence. As these thoughts subside, her eyes remained firmly fixed to the floor, and she enjoys the silence.

Corvus allows Kael to take her by the hand, all the while taking notice of her immediate surroundings. Perception roll 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
The scene unfolding in front of Corvus convinces her that the time for prudence is over. All her Jedi training kicks in as, holding her emotions in check, Corvus is immediately aware that Kael is focused on the stranger closest to her. Drawing her lightsaber, Corvus makes the instant decision to move to oppose the two stormtroopers closest to her. Kael Kulton wrote: Kael resists his urge to hug Corvus, any such display might draw unnecessary attention to the two of them, and that was the last thing they wanted. Nevertheless, He steps towards her and exhibits the same half-smile as her, the good feelings brought on by familiarity were almost overwhelming and Kael struggled to keep his emotions in check."Small galaxy huh Corvus...What're the chances?" He says in a hushed whisper as he faces the crowd. "I don't like the looks of those men, but then again i don't like the look of alot of things these days. Where is master Das-Han-Pal? " He asks "Kael," Corvus whispers in return - her eyes now returning to the two men. "Remember to focus on the here and now." Again she half-smiles as she remembers one of the common mantras of their Jedi training. She half-turns away from Kael but retains visual contact with the men. "Das is gone. He just vanished. The others that were murdered through Order 66, well there was a sign of their going. We all felt the disturbance in the force. But with Das, I felt nothing. And nobody has seen him either. It's strange. It's why I'm here - but now I'm rambling." Corvus returns her gaze to Kael. "How are you?"
G8 on the map Perception roll 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 Corvus still wonders what she's doing here. She scans the crowd and wonders how much longer she should remain on the station before moving on. She spies a face from the past - Kael. Excited, yet cautious, as she takes half a step forward towards him, she becomes aware of his raised brow. She half-smiles as she remembers their time back at the Academy when it was always a 'tell' that he was troubled by something. She follows his gaze and notices two men loitering on the Promenade. Neither is particularly threatening but they just seem out of place. At this point she looks back towards Kael to see if he is reacting to them.
GM Mordulin wrote: Some things to keep in mind. This campaign does take place during the Dark Times. Any jedi should be aware that most jedi are dead and the council no longer exists. Discretion is the better part of valor when it comes to using your lightsaber or Force powers. Too much obvious Force use or lightsaber swinging in public will bring the Empire down upon you. I presume a rewrite of my backstory is in order then...
Mordulin -I've updated my character with a background and hopefully a few plot hooks. I'll do my equipment today (but as a Jedi, I'm not expecting to spend much). Other players - My character has been busy around the station over the last few days, looking for my master. I haven't lost him, merely misplaced him. It's therefore likely I've bumped into all of you on my travels. It might be worth a quick update as to what characters we've got so far. Mine, obviously, is a Jedi. Memento Mori - Space captain sounds fun (we're bound to 'acquire' a ship at some point).

Thanks for that. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on a background if the character was flawed mechanically. As I presume I am 'masterless' I will use my background to develop that hook (that's why I took the bonus language I did). I'll flesh it out within 24 hours.
