Male Human Wizard 1
Corvin spits out a series of unintelligible words as his staff begins to glow with a faint blueish light. For a short moment, the surrounding air grows colder, and a rime of frost coats the staff, as well as Corvin's free hand. With a commanding gesture, a streak of frozen air streaks towards the still-singing goblin. Ranged Attack Roll (Ray of Frost): 1d20+1= 14. Damage 1d3=2.

Covrin, not far from the door, makes a fist with his free hand, and makes a punching action, as his fist begins to glow with a pale blue light. Telekinetic Fist - Ranged Attack: 1d20+1=18. Damage: 1d4+1=2 The blue glow leaves his hand at high speed, and slams into the goblin his Dwarven compatriot previously blasted with her power. "Die goblin scum!" He cries, as the blast of power leaves him.

"I would be honored - I have never had the opportunity to see one performed before." He continues, paying little mind to the spells he can sense in the room. "Shall we see what fate holds in store for us, friends?" He asks the others, a smile on his face - his earlier anger apparently forgotten.

"I'm sure a fireball spell would do the trick." He says, almost automatically - like he's taking a test. "A lightning bolt spell would bounce around in here fairly effectively also." "Why? Do you think someone would?" He asks, sounding concerned. At that thought, he mutters something unintelligible under his breath, and makes a small motion with his free hand. DM
Spoiler: Casting Detect Magic.
Male Human Wizard 1
At the mention of goblins, Corvin's knuckles whiten as he grips his wizard staff tighter, and his face tales on a savage cast. It his clear that his thoughts have turned towards something from his past, and his eyes burn with unspoken anger. "Milady, I will do this. I will lend my magic and my blade to this endeavor, and see these goblins crushed." He says vehemently. Corvin nods his approval at the female Dwarf, who, by her words is obviously a priest.
Male Human Wizard 1
"It is good to meet you, Milady. I'm guessing that you are the one responsible for the card?" He asks, already knowing the answer. As he speaks, he keeps an eye on the half-elf, watching her as she sheaths the dagger, and also noticing the little acknowledgement between her and the half-orc. It seems some of the people here are handy in a scrap. He muses to himself, as he is honest enough to himself to know he is not, and absently traces the scar on his face with his free hand.

Sorry about that. I forgot to add the Spoiler Tags. DM:
Spoiler:
It was just a guess - I doubted that there would be anything interesting to notice this early into the adventure. Of course, I was wrong! Noticing the others as he approached the house, Corvin mentally prepared himself for what would no doubt be a strange encounter. "Greetings, ladies and gentlemen." Said the young mage. "I take it you all got the message as well? What a curious thing." His voice is calm and pleasing to listen to, and he sweeps his hat off his head and bows as he greets the massing individuals. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Corvin."
Male Human Wizard 1
His curiosity sparked by the message somehow left within his most prized possession, Corvin scanned his room, already knowing that such a working is beyond him, or his ability to penetrate. Getting the sense that he should be well prepared for anything to come, Corvin donned his jacket and hat, and headed off into the markets to procure the various magical trinkets that he would need to bring his magic forth. Upon returning to his apartment, Corvin spends the rest of his day preparing his mind for the magic he might need, his mind effortlessly moving through the requires spell forms. Before the appointed hour, Corvin gathered his gear, again donning his coat and hat, and taking his staff, feeling comforted by the familiar thrum of magic that coursed through it. Heading off into the city, Corvin made his way to the house, keeping an eye out for any potential danger. Perception: 19 <-- I know I won't find anything, but I figured I'd roll anyway.

Sounds like a plan. I think I shall enjoy this game quite a bit. Fortunately, I figured out why Corvin dislikes Goblins as much as he does:
Corvin's girlfriend got killed, and Corvin ended up with a ragged scar on the right side of his jaw, along with missing a small part of his right earlobe (basically, he narrowly missed swallowing an arrow, and came away scarred in more ways than one. How's that? EDIT: I'll have the full write up (along with description and all gear) done tonight after I get home from work.

No worries. Shulim, his waterskin at the ready, moves to get a clear shot at the charred cadaver - his footsteps unsteady. Aiming the now un-stoppered end, Shulim squeezes, spraying water at the flaming figure. Move action - getting to 10' away from the monster.
Fazaam, you're up.

I don't have a +1 attack bonus, so I guess I'll just have to draw my waterskin out. Confirmed action: Drawing waterskin.

Back on my turn... Shulim, his body weak from pain, fumbles for the [insert water container here], flinging its contents at the burning creature with a weak battlecry. Fort save to prevent falling 'asleep': 1d20+1=17 I wasn't sure what kind of roll you would want for the water splashing, so I'll leave that to you, mister DM.

French Wolf wrote: I moved Shulim about twenty feet from the fight. He can move again either into the western jungle or northern tall grasses (which he is closest to) or there is the entry trail down to the beach to the south. Come on Shulim take a pick. This is next turn, right? The grasses will probably be my choice - go and hide in the tall grass. Just checking.

My turn again?
At 0 HP, I can only take one action, right? - move action to get away, using the party as cover.
