Corven nods and accepts Toral's blessing, then again offers her his flask, which Caydenites show as a blessing of their own.
"If you don't mind me interjecting, it sounds like we just need to meet with this...Thousand Bones, explain the situation and get his help, then stop another tribe of Shoanti from attacking Korvosa. Cayden's arshe, that's a tall order!" says Corven as he takes a sip from his flask. "You all are from Korvosa. Any of you know this Thousand Bones?"
Corven shakes Tural's hand and says "I can probably help you with your possession issues if you'd like."
Likewise, I'm back up and more or less healthy.
"I can see why the Lord of Drink sent me to you. You definitely need my help."
When Mavor drinks from Corven's flask, he is somewhat surprised to learn that it is filled with a pear-flavored brandy, which is sweet and strong. Upon hearing Weiss' story, Corven will rack his brain trying to remember everything he knows about ancient dieties.
"I know not of your deity, but the universe is a vast and mysterious place. Where exactly where you worshipped, and by what sort of being?" After hearing Mavor and Denario's explanations of past events, Corven will say "What queen have you angered, and who is Blackjack? finally, what sort of game is Bloodpig?"
"Thank you for your hospitality." says Corven, who again offers around a flask. After allowing anyone to partake from it, he begins. "I was sent here by my god, Cayden Cailean, to assist you. I had a vision at the temple where I was working that showed me your group being in this village, along with an urge to be there, as if I will be needed to bring about resolution. I do not know anything of your quest, but my spellcasting is at your disposal."
"Your offer is most kind, but I prefer more...civilized environs. I'll be in the local watering hole if one of you could be so kind as to come and speak to me when you are done catching up. I have some information to share with you that is of some import."
"My apologies spirit speaker. I meant no disrespect, I just wanted to save time from having to introduce myself over and over again." Turning to Weiss, Corven says "Madam, perhaps you would care to join me for a meal while these fine people catch up with each other?"
Corven nods at Tural's suggestion to enter and says "Perhaps we should gather the entire group before doing introductions? Might save time, and Cayden knows that we don't have a lot of it." Corven then turns and holds open the door for the others.
Bowing, Corven says "I am Corven Songfall, priest of Cayden Cailean." recovering from his bow at the end of his sentence, he offers up a battered metal flask to Tural. Regardless of whether Tural takes it or not, Corven then asks "Where are the Human swordmage, the Half-Orc scout, and the Tiefling and Half-Elf mages?" Turning to Allyph, Corven says "These are the people I have been waiting for."
GM: Not dejected by her declining his offer, he takes a swing from his flask and then returns it to his pocket. "They are not from around here, but I have it on good authority that they will be passing through shortly." Removing his hat and bowing with a flourish, Corven says "Corven Songfall, itinerant priest of Cayden Cailean, at your service."
GM: "I am not. I am waiting to meet someone. Would you like to join me for religious services?" says Corven as he holds up a flask and shakes it.
GM: The Ferry down the Sarwin river had been a pleasant enough ride, and Corven had bartered his healing magic in exchange for passage. There were a pair of other adventurers also acting as guards, and between their blades and his magic, nothing untowards happened to the ferry. Upon arrival, Corven knew exactly where he needed to be to meet the heroes he had seen in his vision, and so he began walking there. Arriving shortly, he found a good spot to wait, and then...did exactly that. Time passed at it's leisurely pace, and so Corven waited. and waited. There were several near misses, but no actual fated heroes.
I am still here, but I'm just waiting for the point at which my character can be introduced to the grou.
I also have the flu, and I honestly wish it would go away.
Bloodpig is a great game.
