As I've said in other threads, Mongoose has a VERY poor reputation (at least around here) with their d20 products. I would never allow any Mongoose books at my table.

Not trying for a flamewar based on poor publishing standards - just asking.

What do you guys think of using the spells that are in the Ultimate Divine and Arcane books from Mongoose? Would that be worse than using wotc's Spell Compendium hehe?

I personally like the Talent tricks for the rogue. In your case, even though I own the Spell Compendium, our DM only lets us use the Core Book material in our Second Darkness campaign. I agree that as a DM it's my call to allow something that could make or break a campaign dependeing on its usage.

The Persistent Blade spell does have the advantage by the comments given here that you could be facing off on a monster, your ally attacks from the left side, and on your turn you're able to attack as though the creature is flanked for as long as your ally is there. Wicked and deadly and possibly capable of breaking many monsters depending on the current level of the encounter.

I'm trying to use the prestige class, Radiant Servant of <"a sun god">. So when the character, a dwarven cleric of Sarenrae, reaches an appropriate level - what are the changes to make the class convertible to Pathfinder's system?

Hey Derek,

I'm one of the guys who plays with ol Silverhair at his Montrose apartment. My schedule on the weekends is extremely flexible. I'm all for playing on Sundays if it would make it possible to get you in. I've been DM'ing for about 9 years and playing since 1993. However, as Silverhair stated he's the DM because 1) it's his place, 2) he's got more books than me (printed hehe). So give us a shout. We both have the Beta books for the Pathfinder system - he's got a ton of stuff though which makes for a good read.

As he said - there's 2 of us playing two characters each and we've revised our current characters to match that of Pathfinder's character creation system. I'm using a dorf cleric (typical, eh??) and a half-orc sorcerer (who just happens to have a dwarven beard lol). I'm still fleshing them out but I gotta admit - a half-orc with a charisma of 17 or 18...just think on that.

Ok that's enough blubbering from the dorf.

Corvanus OUT!
