Corrmesa didn't flinch during the stare down with Leonard, he almost smiled at the possibility of a fight. He drops his folded arms as the man he thinks is the mayor talks to the others. "Well we came at the right time. We can enjoy this festival and then camp before setting off in the morning." he says to no one in particular.
" A plausible story. The greed of humans is know far and wide." Corrmesa thinks to himself. "Maybe we should stay the night and leave in the morning." the elf suggests out loud. "But first a little checking up on your story to be sure we aren't be sent on a wild hawk chase." he thinks with a forced smile. Roll a Bluff (+1) for the elf if you think it is needed.
Being elven the forest is the way to go for Corrmesa. So he would vote a land route. Listening to Eve tell what she has heard of the human town of Ravenmoor the elf is not surprised. "Inhospitable to strangers, and if we spend to much time hanging around looking we might catch something. Or have all our blood sucked out of us by vampire birds." He shakes his head. "Why am I not surprised." Ready to go whenever, but would probably like to change spells the next morning due to info shared.
The elf takes note of the party that Jeminda has put together and gives a nod of his own in approval. "Corrmesa Valingesh," he says by way of introduction. "A hunter is an excellent companion to have when we have someone to find. My talents are more in line with the Maer Shadi, Spell Blades - in common. I have mastered melding the arcane with the martial for a doubly effective offense." He seems more than a little sure of himself when he speaks.
Corrmesa shrugs. "Humans and their secrets. Typical," he thinks to himself. "The job is noble and the pay is good. We should prepare for the trip and maybe see what we can learn of the tax dodgers beforehand." the elf says aloud. "Anyone here know of Ravenmoor? Jeminda anything else you could tell would be appreciated."
"An overly large sum to just investigate. She must really wish to find out what happen to this broth-in-law of hers." Corrmesa thinks to himself. "I can not speak for the others and will help, but what do you believe is wrong that you need to hire the likes of us." he asks still slightly suspicious, but then he never has found a human he could trust.
Corrmesa eyes the girl and glowers. He is about to retort when he bites his tonuge knowing that it would do no good to snap at the human. "We are waiting on someone by that name, aye. I am Corrmesa Valingesh but I wonder why you have summoned people you don't know for this mysterious adnevtuerer work?"
it's ok with me if it's ok with Mrdarknlight that are characters are traveling together Corrmesa enters the doorway of the Drunken Dog and stops, looking around. His quiver and elven blade sit above each of his shoulders and his bow is cupped in his hand easily. To the untrained he appears to be some sort of hunter, just arriving from the forest. The elf tries to spot Jeminda. And although he hasn't met the man he looks for someone sitting alone and watching the door. Although it is possible the man isn't here yet and he will have to wait. So he enters the tavern and looks for a table. |
