Hey all, I have a party of 4, only one member of the party has crafting but doesn't want to spend feats for crafting. The party are just level 2, and they have in their possession a Slick Armour Rune... My question is, is there a way to etch the rune onto armour without crafting skill? Is there a mechanic to do that?

Currently in the middle of prepping AV, and my players are putting together some draft characters and backstories etc I have a player who is looking to use the "Empty Whispers" background, I am thinking of reskinning the background where the player receives visions from Otari Ilvashti. The visions are memories from Otari Ilvashti, and some seem like plea's for help, now the player doesn't know whose visions they are and if they are visions of the past or future, that is their motive for being in otari at the adventures beginning... Was also wondering is there a better lore than Planear Rift Lore that would suit my above idea for reskinning it

Hey all, Myself and one of my players are a little confused about staffs... Does the wizard need to take the Arcane Thesis, Staff Nexus to wield and prepare a staff. If the the answer is no, then what benefit does the staff nexus thesis provide? Apologies, we have moved over from 5e and we are all new PF2E players(Asside from the BB with the pregens)

The lute in question gave no mechanical benefit, it was effectively just flavour, agreed if there was any mechanical benefit to the lute I agree that the swap action needs to be used...

So I came across the following scenario I would like folks opinions on... So a PC who is a Bard and this bard is famed for their lute playing(character back story etc)...the bard uses their lute for Courageous Anthem. The bard then switches to their crossbow to make an attack... So the GM makes the Bard use the swap action. To me it seems like the PC is being punished for playing their character correctly as opposed to taking a min/max style approach... What do ye guys think? Would ye allow this swap as a free action, as the bard doesn't need an instrumemt for the spell, they could have sung or told a dirty Limerick |
