BACKGROUND:
A lingering blessing from Aroden, her family breeds aasimars in every generation. Her lineage, descended from a garuda lieutenant to Aroden, goes back to the earliest days of the Empire and Cora has known her life would be dedicated to the service of Taldor since birth. Many of her relatives are dashing horse cavaliers, shining phalanx captains, dedicated senators, and priests and wizards working to protect and lead the people by example.

Cora, however, works in the shadows. Unlike her more glory-seeking relatives, Cora's leanings show in her feathers- black as night- and her gleaming yellow owl eyes. She is a creature of the night and shadows, and her talents in that direction were recognized at an early age.

She was trained in Taldor's infamous Shadow Schools, honing her talents for subterfuge and making her a peerless hunter of men and problem solver for the Empire.

PERSONALITY:
Cora keeps to herself, preferring to observe and listen than participate and speak. Her manner is somewhat off-putting and intimidating. She is trained in infiltration, though, and knows well how to listen. Even when she is trying to be friendly she can set people on edge with her raptor's eyes and close attention. Her preference is to stay in the shadows, literally, and watch from a distance.

APPEARANCE:
Cora has green skin so pale it's almost a chalky white and deep, unhealthy looking bruises around her eyes. In spite of her sickly looking skin and facial features, though, her body is extremely, almost unnaturally muscular, with pulsing veins and ropy tendons visible wherever they aren't covered by clothing.

Her hair- once a mane of glorious, sleek black feathers is now a short scruff of wiry black hair.

As an agent of the Lion Throne, she wears whatever clothes best fit into whatever situation she is in, but as a typical Taldan prefers beautiful, ornate fabrics and designs and jewelry.

Cora has the bronze skin typical of a Taldan, and long dark hair that on closer inspection turns out to be a crest of sleek, tiny black feathers. Her eyes are a rich golden color that gleam in the dark, an obvious sign of her inhuman heritage. Like most aasimar, she is a beauty, but her features are subtly inhuman- the planes of her face a little too angular, her nose reminiscent of a beak. While most people can't place what exactly it is, many people feel like there's something off about the way she looks.
