Here we go again! With a small shrug Conall followed the other man into the room, and because the world seemed to be that way, into the fray as well. To hit (1d20+3=12)

Dagger in hand Conall makes his way quietly up to where Bran is.
"I'm happy to follow your lead in combat man. Hope it doesn't come to it though.. The aggressive tend to fall easily. Our concern is to keep people safe and serve the goddess' will here."

Following the remaining memebers of the group up to the door Conall remained on edge. He couldn't help but feel that they might be better off securing the boat. Still it seemed that the majority wanted to explore and he wouldn't leave them. Drawing the dagger he kept checking behind him determined to keep a good lookout.

Grimicing in displeasure at both the noise and peoples response to the old man Conall for once speaks out. "We all should respect our elders.. besides how would you feel if your sanctuary was defiled.. Oh and if anyone directly insults anyone else again.. especially one we need to rely on then they are probably a bigger fool." Shaking his head the middle aged man heads over to the older man's room. "Is there anything important to you that is missing?"

Conall had been making his way as quietly as he could. It was strange he could move quietly at times but he felt almost as if on a hunt and he was missing the baying of the hounds. What he wouldn't give to have his faithfull family running at his side. Once they stopped and detected the approach of an enemy he hunkered down and tried to make himself inconspicuous. Lowering his body to a low crouch he tried to keep a small a profile as possible.

As people were talking, well you could say complaining but there was reason, Conall took simple stock of how he was feeling and the gazed out on the surroundings. It seemed like it could be a nice island in some ways. "If we had longer i'd set some snares and see if I could catch us anything... Still if someone would be so kind as to lend me something bladed I can try seeing if I can find some game for us to eat. I'm a hunter by trade." The healing energies passed through him taking away the pain and knitting flesh. As thankfull as he was the huntsman was slightly annoyed that once again he'd been unable to help. Nodding his thanks to the crossbow weilding lady, she really was good with that thing, Conall turned to the woman that had saved him with the goddess' gifts. Helping take the corpse outside Conall made sure he did most of the work. After they were done he smiled softly at the young woman. Taking one knee he gently took Siobhán's hand. "Thank you lady.. You're gifts and the Goddess have made me whole again.. Hopefully i'll be in a fit state to help defend you all this time."

On waking and seeing the unnatural thing before them Conall felt his anger rise. He hated the feeling of being useless. Struggling to his feet he grimaced as pain shot through his wounds. Wait the goddess said she would grant Siobhán her gifts! 'Lady has the goddess granted you healing? I can't watch another fight.'

He'd been quiet for a long time now. It was too much effort to do more than the walking and in all honesty he wasn't even sure if he'd make it. Besides in his current condition there was very little he could do to aid his companions. At least if you die Conall you'll have helped them live a little longer. Still they'd made it to some shelter and soon everyone was settling down for the evening. The new comer was talking to him.. Struggling to meet the man's gaze the injured huntsman spoke quietly to not disturb the others. "I'll be fine i'm sure.. It's in the hands of the mother but i'll probably stay awake as long as I can... I'd prefer to face the future with my eyes open."

Conall had been quiet for quite some time. The pain in his side was indescribable and it took most of his effort to keep putting one foot in front of another. Still when the sounds of battle came to them he tried to think of what he could do to help. The problem was there was little he could think of.. at least nothing that wouldn't cause him to reopen his wounds. "I know what you mean.. If it comes to it I want you all to leave me behind as if you need to flee i'll only slow you down."

It had taken some time to properly get himself together, besides with how much he was in pain he couldn't do much to help in this situation, but he'd get better. After the few minutes of the young man and the halfling being in the boat he was feeling a little more like himself. "I'll be fine to walk and besides if you get too far ahead i'll find you.. I'm good at tracking and when i'm feeling a little healthier i'll see what I can do about finding some food for us." Glancing at the sky he thought about how strange the storm did seem. "But yes getting shelter is the most important but we'll not want to go too far in without knowing what's out there."

It was almost slow motion the sword swinging into his side. He tried to move but the speed of his charge had unbalanced the man and as much as he'd tried the momentum was too much. Folding up around the cruel blade Conall could at least take some satisfaction in the fact that he'd delivered a solid blow. Crumpling to the ground he seemed surrounded by a red haze, Goddess this hurts, it seemed to last forever but when next he could catch a thought he realised that it was just seconds later... Must get help Conall is going to attempt to slowly, very carefully, back away from the fight before collapsing once more.

Jumping down onto the beach Conall takes the offered club and sighs a little. Oh wonderful he thought. Conall is going to reluctantly join in the charge. Taking the usual penalties to AC and the +2 to hit. Before rushing to attack he quickly glances at the ladies. Have to keep them safe from that drunk.

It had taken a little while to sort out his throbing head but by the time the young lady had unshackled him Conall was more himself. As she released him he offered her a slight smile as he stood and stretched. Oh that felt good, rubbing his wrists he quickly looked himself and his fellow slaves over to see if anyone was carrying any serious injuries. Spoiler:
Heal check (1d20+5=6) wow lame Rolling his eyes a little at the young bearded fella as he headed off he went to offer his aid to the young ladies. "I'm Conall.. Can I be of any help?" |
